His hand was away from his body, and definitely changed the path of the ball. Doesn't have to be intentional to be called.

That was a soft goal for the Aussie keeper to give up. 3-2 Dutch

Yep. Very soft...just after that big chance Aussie had on the other end.

Australia seems to be falling apart now.

The defender had no time to react to the ball. In that scenario you almost never see an penalty awarded.

There have been rumors around Ronaldo's participation for weeks, so I would not believe anything until you see the teamsheet on Sunday.

And on replay, another horrible attempted save by Casillas.

Why is Casillas in goal - not good enough for his club team.

Spain really need 3 goals now, draw will not be enough with the minus four from the Holland game

Spain aren't going to score three and win in the second half. You heard it here first.

I'll admit I thought it made sense to play Casillas. He may have been second choice for his club, but his club is Real Madrid.

In retrospect, though, it's possible that both Mourinho & Ancelotti dropping him might have been a sign....

It was obvious to drop him after the first game, even if you don't buy that him being a backup for his club team means he shouldn't have started that one. He was very, very poor against the Dutch

I meant it made sense to start Casillas against the Dutch. I would agree that after that game you'd need to take a serious look at the other keepers.

Though, I now also admit that maybe the fact that he hasn't been a regular starter for his club for two years now was a sign.

Normally, I'd be gutted for someone who missed such an important header.. then I remembered Busquets "peek a boo" attempt to get someone sent off in the past.

He can find sympathy in the dictionary between shit and syphillis.

With Spain having to go on the attack, they are going to be wide open for counter-attacks by Chile.

Now this is the Spain we all know prior to 2008.

Chile started off quite out of sorts, but after that first goal Spain looks mostly listless. Just wow. #1 is crashing out early.

Not a fan of Chile either, but happy to see Spain go if this result holds.
