Same strategy as against Crewe: Counter playing prevent. Long spikes out with Busby letting the boys be boys. Hopefully we cut a few fools down.

Rovers Win Battle of The New Lawn
Forest Green Rovers 1 - 0 Eastwood Town (Blue Square Bet Premier) Forest Green battled their way to a 1 - 0 victory in this evenly-matched contest between two hard-working teams. Forest Green's winner came through Luke Joyce as he seized on Gavin Caines' mistake to score a penalty. The match was remarkable for the number of fouls committed by both teams, seemingly more concerned with disrupting the flow of the game than playing it. Eastwood have been playing far beyond expectations all season and find themselves in 7th place in the Blue Square Bet Premier. Man of the Match: Reece Styche (Forest Green) Attendance: 858

A spirited game. Caines was called on a foul from a corner kick. I wasn't thrilled about it. We actually attempted more shots on goal than they did, but unable to sink any of them.

Jarrod Westcarr, a striker that hasn't played for me from the original roster, requested playing time. I released him...even though he didn't have a contract.

Eastwood in Control as Iron are Brushed Aside
Eastwood Town 1 - 0 Braintree Town (Blue Square Bet Premier) Eastwood battled to a deserved 1 - 0 victory over Braintree on a fine spring afternoon in their Blue Square Bet Premier game at Coronation Park. Eastwood captain Gavin Falconer gave Eastwood the lead with a well timed close range finish in the 27th minute. With Braintree staring at defeat, there was controversy as centre-back Dean Wells then had a penalty shot turned down. Eastwood had a number of attempts at goal but their profligacy meant they didn't score as many as they maybe would have liked. Eastwood have been playing far beyond expectations all season and find themselves in 6th place in the Blue Square Bet Premier. Man of the Match: Kadell Daniel (Eastwood) Attendance: 1,426

Not the output I was hoping for. I'm happy enough with the win, but I'd like to have seen the team put in another goal or two. No yellows, no injuries. Pretty quiet game really.
Ladapo 6.8, Falconer 7.2 Andrews 6.8, Jarvis 6.9, Nalborski 6.8, Bailey 6.9 Daniel 7.4, Hessey 7.3, Joyce 7.2, Hanson 7.1 Gilpin 6.7 Troke 6.7, Benjamin, Lampkin, Lacey 6.7, Caines 6.6

Caines will make his 300th career appearance. Daniel could make his 25th career appearance if he enters, all with Eastwood. H&Y has a player they signed a few days ago making his debut as a left wingback. Their backup keeper is a 41 year old who would easily become the oldest player to play for them if he comes in.
