I think she just wanted me, Lathum and collins outta here and figured PB was a dead duck sooner or later anyways, and including him would strengthen her case.

Olie is pinging my wolfdar as well. Her suspicion on Lathum doesn't make sense after his reveal and I can't decide if she's just not seeing why her argument doesn't work logically or if she has ulterior motives and is trying to make a push to get a good player (that is somewhat cleared) lynched.

Another look at day 1:

KWhit votes jeheinz72 (133)

The Jackal votes KWhit (140)
jeheinz72 votes The Jackal (150)

Lathum unvotes hoopsguy, votes st.cronin (366)
Passacaglia unvotes hoopsguy, votes PurdueBrad (367)
PurdueBrad unvotes hoopsguy, votes st.cronin (371)

Passacaglia, I think, has to be considered kitteh. PurdueBrad was under a lot of pressure, but did put a vote on hoopsguy late. He did move this vote, so I'm not sure much can be read into it. KWhit, mccollins, and jeheinz72 all moved onto me fairly late. I am guessing at least one of those is a wolf.

A gut feel I suppose. Though I've only played a few games with him, Cronin's posts throughout day 1 seemed genuinely helpful for the good of the villagers.

Well, we all moved based upon the same reason - so there's no mystery as to why we moved at about the same time.

Jeheinz pointed out the oddness of your criticising a vote for someone who wasn't in the running for the lynch. He remebered your and my 'discussion' about that from a previous game. When he brought it up, I looked at your previous posts in this game and found the quote (I missed it the first time through).

That inconsistency (or at least perceived inconsistency, since I still don't really understand what you were criticizing me for in that previous game) seemed incredibly wolfish at the time. That's why I voted for you.

That's cool. I can't help but feel we might have learned something from making PB choose one of hoops or cronin to vote. But on the other hand, if you kept your vote on cronin, we would have lost him, so all's well that ends well.

It would be pretty incredible if NONE of them were wolves, considering the cunning wolf was on the block.

I'll reverse it - if you are going to reveal as a seer why would you do it on Day 2 and not Day 1? That is what struck me as odd - there are players who take their role with them to their death, but PB hasn't been one of those in the past.

I felt that if he was the seer he would have given us a chance to learn that during the Day 1 lynch rather than chance us gimping the village out of the shoot. His own past behavior suggested this. He also had ample opportunity to do this leading up to the deadline, but he didn't cite a single post within 100 of the deadline where he dropped a hint.

I think the more interesting question here is why he didn't fake reveal on Day 1. Did he feel comfortable with the wolves level of control over the vote? Did the wolves know the tie-breaker mechanism? Did he just not think of it with less time to react (24 hours instead of 72 hours)? I don't have an answer for this right now.

Alright guys, it looks like I have to do this...I'm either the fool or the real seer, I don't know which. I scanned CW on night one and he came back with a light aura, I scanned Lathum night two and he also came back with a light aura.

So if you believe Lathum is the seer, that means CW is good. If you believe CW is a dog, then Lathum is lying, and a wolf. This is why I was/am so adamant that Lathum is not cleared.

Lathum - who have you scanned each night? This might already be posted somewhere but I'm working and doing my best to multi-task and keep up.

Cronin, agree on Pass and on the vote shifts towards you.

What do you make of Heinz not breaking the tie at the end? Heinz was one of the people who moved his vote to me earlier in the day that I didn't like much at the time. But if he was around at the deadline and had a chance to bury you then that suggests that he may be kitteh.

If he is a doggie, then I'm guessing his teammates were unhappy with him at the time and even moreso this morning when your "stray reveal" put the nail in the coffin on the cunning wolf.

Sorry - believe me, I was trying my best not to reveal! I dropped what I thought was a good hint early on, said something about being a "fancy cat" and not eating regular cat food, thought that might tip someone off to the Siamese/Persian thing, but I guess not

So, working this out.

Olie scans me, and is the seer: I'm good. Which would jive with Lathum.

Olie scans me, and is the fool: I could still show up as good depending on a dice roll at the start of the game, but would not jive with Lathum.

Yeah, I'm just stopping now. I'm not thrilled about your reveal. I honestly don't see how it helps us solve anything, UNLESS Lathum is lying, which your scans can't prove definitively.

And how does Lathum being the seer mean that CW is good? Not that it matters, since like I said, no one does, but this afternoon I seem to be all about pushing points that don't matter anymore, so I might as well ask.

The only thing I can think is that they're both wolves clearing each other -- I can't imagine a scenario where they both scan each other as good. And I can't imagine they would do that as wolves. So I just have to believe that olie revealed when she shouldn't have.

I didn't get that either. I'm trying to wrap all the different scenarios in my head, and it hurts.

And while we're on the subject...you have a post # where Lathum said he scanned olie? I don't remember that.

Cool.

Now, what are the odds that both of the 'scanner' people just happened to scan one another with 1 of their available 2 scans? Should look back again to make sure, but I don't recall either sniping much with one another, which is a lot of times who people usually choose to view.

In the interest of full disclosure, I couldn't bury Cronin. I was already voting for him. I could've buried PB had I figured that out quickly enough, but I didn't (boy do I wish I did now).

When I said "So if you believe Lathum is the seer, I meant that the fool is still a seer role, should have said "If you believe Lathum is the fool"...sorry for the confusion.

I swear I'm not a wolf, I voted PB early and have been suspicious of Lathum since Friday, that suspicion increased when he revealed as the fool...

And I *still* think hoops might have been leaving himself open for a seer reveal with post 649 -- he uses "see" a bunch of times, in a post where he was talking about PB's hints. Then his next post, 650, he accuses PB, which would point to him being the real seer and not the fool. If anyone's interested, my post 652 is me dropping hints as to my role -- I used "catch" a bunch of times to tell everyone that I am a normal cat!

My Night One scan request was to scan Hoops, and if something happened to him, scan CW...then I changed it at the last minute and asked Clap to scan CW. My night 2 scan request was to scan Lathum, and if something had happened to him, scan Hoops. I got light aura responses back on both of them.

If I am the fool, then those scans are meaningless, but it proves that Lathum is lying. If I am the real seer, then CW can't be a wolf. That is why I am saying you can't have it both ways. Who else did Lathum scan besides me? Did he say who his Night One scan was?

No one is saying you must be the fool, so I don't know who you are saying is trying to 'have it both ways' -- and remember, Lathum's N1 scan was cronin -- that's how we know he is the fool (if everyone is to be believed, of course).

dola- just to add to that I don't understand why Olie is so hell bend on disproving me when there is no reason to not take things at face value.

My reveal was supposed to make things eaiser for her, yet she is completly overcomplicating things.

Assuming noone comes out ALSO claiming they are Spartacus, I'm inclined to go with the simplest explanation: Olie is the seer, and Lathum is the fool. It fits.

Though if that IS the case, I think the seer reveal is not a real smooth move. Thinking about it in the car, I don't have a clue why she did. It's not worth revealing yourself just to clear Lathum.

The only reason I could think of, if she IS telling the truth, is she thinks I'm a wolf, and if I am, then that WOULD prove Lathum is lying.

Disagree. Bodyguard is gonna have a tough enough time as it is without having Yet Another Person to split his time over.

I don't think the show cat will be a priority for the dogs. I think they would rather take a shot at the BG or olie not being guarded.

And the show cat really gives us no value so them being night killed would be better then the BG or Olie.
