So today was my 19th wedding anniversary ... which officially occurs in a couple more hours from now.

That's actually quite simple: got married around 10pm Vegas time on October 2nd, making that my anniversary. Except that 10pm Vegas time was 1am October 3rd Eastern time.

It only took my mother 19 years to finally wish me a happy anniversary on the correct day. That'd be funnier except that earlier tonight, after knowing exactly how that worked for 18 years, I had to review the math with my wife to make sure I had it right. I knew the date well enough -- we were walking in to have a little anniversary dinner at the time -- but realized that the time sequence had gotten a little fuzzy even for me.

So technically, according to east coast time, your wedding anniversary is the same day as the President.

Once in a while I wish my body didn't mind if I still drank every now & then.
I'm sure there are a couple of distilleries and breweries that feel the same way.

*no, this has nothing to do with M G Blue's comment

Just watched the end to Rocky II for the first time in a long time. Rocky hadn't finished getting to his feet when the ref counted 10. Apollo was totally robbed!

Sooooo...Facebook. Maybe my idea of 'Most Recent' is different than your idea of most recent. My idea of that concept means that the very top post that I see, should have the most recent time stamp on it and then the next message have the second most recent time stamp, etc... Here's the time stamps of the first 10 post in my Facebook (with Most Recent as my settings for displaying messages).

1. 3 minutes ago
2. 3 hours ago
3. 5 hours ago
4. 19 hours ago
5. 8 hours ago
6. 35 minutes ago
7. 17 hours ago
8. about an hour ago
9. 22 minutes ago
10. 5 hours ago

Came as close as ever to leaving my phone number on the check for a waitress. Only reason I decided against it is that I'm 1600 miles from home.

That would be all the more reason to leave it, with a note saying what hotel you are stayin at.

I must have been asleep or out of the country or something in 2008, but I was just checking imdb and saw it's Bernie Mac's birthday. What I didn't know was that he died. Um....

A friend of mine made a facebook post a while ago saying that he just ran into Jason Robards at the airport. He was brutally corrected in seconds. To be fair, a lot of old guys look like Jason Robards.

It's pronounced "Bumgarner" just like it's spelled...there is no "d" anywhere in there.

Those of you saying "Bumgardner" are going to die a slow, painful death.

Taking my jacket off in a bar, I caught the waitress in the chest. She went down. Tray went a-flyin'. The rest of the night every time she walked by it was "Don't hit me!" So my friend tells me what an ass she thinks I am. I bet him $10 I could get her number. I won. (She was a week from going back to school upstate, so nothing ever came of it.)

Haha! Too funny. Ah man, that sucks that nothing came out of it, you could have ended the story like, "Oh yes, I hit it over and over again.".

The problem was I played it cool & waited to call.

My friend is still stupider than I, as even I know not to run out of the house with a broomstick yelling "I'LL KILL YOU" at a process server that is already driving away, passing the cops he was laughing it up with along the way.

(According to him, nothing was his fault. He won't even admit it was a really dumb thing to do.)

The process server was outside yelling "I KNOW YOU'RE HOME."

While he was there, the furniture his mother ordered arrived. He opened the garage & had his 11 year old daughter tell them to put it in there. When the delivery guys left the process server tried to force his way in. My friend's wife called 911 & reported that a man attacked her daughter. (911 call was lost) When the cops arrived, they talked & joked with the process server. He was leaving when my friend lost his mind.

The cops then gave the summons to his wife with the words "Consider yourself served, bitch."

My friend was tazered. When coming to he hears a cop say "He's too fucking fat. I can't get the cuffs on." then another say "I can do it. Watch this." The cop separated his shoulder & broke three ribs.

Somehow the broom when entered into evidence became a pipe. He was charged with attacking the police with a deadly weapon.

Just doing a little reading

Quote:
What can I do about angina?

You can change your way of life and lower your chance of having angina attacks. A few simple steps can help you feel more comfortable every day:

See your doctor if you are having pain and/or think you might have angina
Stop smoking, and avoid second-hand smoke.
Eat healthy meals low in saturated fat, trans fat, cholesterol and salt.
Control high blood pressure and blood cholesterol levels.
Avoid extreme temperatures.
Avoid strenuous activities.

Learn to relax and manage stress.

Other than the two bolded ones (and the blood pressure one which has never been a problem), none of the rest of that shit is gonna happen so I figure not bothering to go to the doctor fits under the "manage stress" portion of the instructions.

Plenty. Nobody recorded it though. The witnesses basically said they saw him with a broomstick screaming "I'LL KILL YOU!"

Got the pipe thrown out, but didn't help much. he was still convicted. he's appealing now.

Doesn't help that he's already sued the city police for harassment & won, then had the judgement reversed on appeal by the city.

I wish all the barbershops in town would stop acting like they're doing me a favor by not taking reservations. "Oh, you don't need a reservation, just come on down...."

"....and wait in line." being the unfinished part of that sentence.

We were at a function at my kids'school tonight. Within 15 minutes, my son, a kindergartner, has 4 little girls come over, wave or say hi, and run off.

Each time "Who's that, Sam?"

Honestly, we are not sure where this comes from.

His sister is in 2nd grade, and if you mention one of the boys from her class, she gets pissed!

Him on the other hand...last year in pre-school, some days he'd be over my parents after (if we both worked).

He was 5, my parent's neighbors daughter was 9...he tells my mom "She's not too old for me"

I was telling Sak this story the other night, he says "You might need to have that talk with him sooner rather than later!"

I said "It needs to happen sooner, because he can probably teach me some things!"
