Following up on what Blade said and the edition of the paper with the Forbes article: Cronin's victory condition is that the mafia boss dies; he has a nice ring but not necessarily the nicest; he has an unlisted role and he supposedly has a decent amount of money. Does that sound like mafia heir to anyone else?

I am a little skeptical about trusting Blade but he does make some good points. But there are a few other people flying under the radar that I want to check out. I have to reread some more. I have been skimming all day and between the people being here to finish my kitchen and doing work from home my day has been hectic. Right now I am leaning towards Cronin.

Interesting set of people voting for me. ITC, who was a late vote for ntn yesterday. Kingfc, who didn't vote at all yesterday. And Lathum, who voted for me yesterday without giving a reason. I'm not sure what to make of all this. I have a role that, despite being good, benefits both the good citizens of this fine city, and the members of the mafia. I can't imagine why anyone would want me killed. |

I alluded to it. Path and him were going at it. I'm not really sure. It would be very crafty of path to kill Tyrith right after an argument (ping: Lathum and Blade). |

It looks like the bad guys struck. I don't know what else to say about it, especially since he and I got into it earlier.

I changed my mind. My reflexive action was that you were being set up. But I think I've seen it the other way more often, where it just looked like somebody was being set up. |

The Big City Herald
Edition 11 Ransom! The story first broke to you by the Big City Herald has now officially taken a turn for the abnormal. It appears initial signs are that Tyrith might actually still be alive. An unidentified source has told the Herald that a ransom demand has been placed for Tyrith to be returned to his family alive. We currently have no confirmed response for what the demand actually was, but one family member was over heard saying,"Ransom? Heck, you can keep him." Basketball underway The Villanova, Uconn game has just gotten underway in Big City's own arena. The early score currently has the Wildcats over the Huskies 6-2. We have no confirmation however to the rumor that local bookies have guns pointed at the head of the Uconn players if they decide to try to pull an upset in this one. Mob roars its ugly head Just like yesterday as reports of more crime break, the mood among the normally docile people of Big City start to get aggrivated. Down in the town square, some are overheard shouting,"We want his head! We want his head!" The Herald currently isn't sure if the person referred to here is one of the current Big City's own residents or some obscure Britney Spears reference. Currently it appears the mob is targeting its anger at people who have nice rings or people who have last names that begin with E. |

Hmmm, wonder if the Saint could be bluffing to try and avoid more votes? But if he isn't, then I'm basically letting other people decide who gets mob action by voting for him, and I don't like that much either.
Going to check on something and then cast a vote. |

Random observation - why would a police detective be rolling in cash? We know that Barkeep49 has switched stories about his wealth, while saying his role was not that interesting. I'm thinking bluff, just a matter of whether it is for good or bad. But he hasn't given me any reasons with his posts to change from where I was headed yesterday when I questioned his truthfulness. And I'm not the most tolerant person for people who say one thing to your face, then do another behind your back. Because they are liable to stab you in it ... VOTE BARKEEP49 |

This was right before the deadline last night, when you were not in any danger of being lynched by the mob. No one emerged to suggest they knew your role, and you have not commented on it since. So why did you put this offer out there? What were you looking to gain? |

I don't think st. cronin is the same as User 14. I think the duke ability for the hacker was only for yesterday's vote. According to the underground board, it looks like that player (possible hacker) will get the ability again tomorrow. |

For the record, I have voted for Hoopsguy as judge. I'm kind of concerned that he's been hacked twice, though. What worries me is that he could be blackmailed if there was something juicy discovered by the hackers.

Interesting stuff, as I catch up.
As much as I disagree with Path's angle today, particularly with his logic regarding the judge, I don't think he would have come out against me so vocally if he were mafia, so I'm holding off against giving him a counter-vote. |

lol, cronin...now i know why you wanted to go to your death silently..because you dont plan on dying. So who in this town would have power enough to change a lynch? Not too many, but id imagine its not a good only power

I think at this point if a seer came out and said I was cleared, and that seer was then lynched and Alan said that player was a seer, you would still be suspicious of me. That's cool. I don't get it, but it's cool. You're not paranoid if they're really out to get you. |

I say he force him to use the power, and still have a seer go after him later. If hes evil, hes the mafia boss or mafia heir. Both would have tons of power, and be able to change a vote. Getting this power out of the way now is good for us(as if he is good, evil will just night kill him later if need be)
