You're kidding? It's been discussed a few times here although probably not all that recently. Big O is one of my all-time favorites (maybe my #1 all-time favorite). There's also a Vash the Stampede shirt up in my closet, as well as an old school Speed Racer shirt, and I've got Racer X wall art hanging right beside my coffee room down here in the basement.

For the PS3 owners, might want to give the Planet Minigolf demo a spin. Pretty nice game for $10 with the option to create your own holes.

Yeah, but it's one hell of a character. Plus it was a lot easier to find than a Wolfwood shirt (Wolfwood was my avatar picture in the old Omerta online game).

Hmm. Looks stupid on one hand. . . but it did look like the people participating were having a blast. Like everything, it depends on the games released for it. I doubt I'll want it, but if a killer app comes out, I have enough relatives who would enjoy playing it could be worth a purchase. (not at 150 though)

I think it looks fun. Seems like something that would be perfect if you were in college and had a bunch of roommates you could get drunk with and play. Also a nice addition for people looking to lose weight.
I don't think it's for everyone, but I think it looks like fun. |

Looks like another good indie game. Joe Danger is getting some really good reviews with most noting that it's a great upgrade on the Excitebike formula. Here's a video review......

So, I don't keep up with stuff as much these days.
So Natal is completely camera (or whatever) based? And it's supposed to be as responsive as the Wii Remote? Interesting if so.

1. Yes, it's completely camera-based. 2. Early reviews have been mixed on how responsive it is, but I'm not sure it's totally fair since it's still being worked on. Microsoft is having a separate presentation at E3 solely for the Natal accessories, so we'll get a heavy helping of what it's about and likely several demos. |

Interesting. My Wii has become a really expensive scale, so I'm not sure how much it would appeal to me as a game - but the technology intrigues me.

I will say, I REALLY like New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Wasn't that stoked by Mario Galaxy, but NSMB Wii has been a ton of fun, both on my own and with friends or with my sister and her fiance. On a completely different note, I'm really looking for a hack-and-slash type RPG, preferably for a handheld (I'm recovering from surgery at my parents' house, so no XBOX or PS3 here). It surprises me how few of those there are in general for consoles/handhelds. /tk

I just think my gaming habits have changed. Platformers do not interest me. I'm really focused on sports games with fine diversions here and there like CoD: MW2 or Final Fantasy (which I really haven't made it very far on). Oh - and of course the occasional RB/GH.

Just curious on this. Would it be adding college teams to the game, or making a seperate game for college hockey? While having the teams in the game would be cool, I'd really like to play out a college hockey season with all the teams.

I haven't played one since the one that came with the original Nintendo. Was that Super Mario Bros? Or Super Mario Bros 2? I guess I did play Super Mario Kart. Does that count?

Super Mario Bros. No, Kart doesn't count since it isn't a platformer.

Gotcha. Yeah, I don't really like platformers. I can't remember the last one I played, but I imagine it was on the Sega Genesis or maybe it was on Dreamcast or Playstation 1? I might be wrong, but I think the last platformer I remember playing was "Apocalypse" with Bruce Willis. He yelled out "Strap one on, it's time to jam!" among other things in the game. But that last line stuck out for, uh, obvious reasons.

i guess i'm supposed to wait to buy a PS3 now until they come out with their new wii-esque stuff so that will drive down the bundle price of the non-wiii-esque packages?
Don't really wanna wait much past next month though. |

I'm also interested in just playing the college teams, though I would guess it's going to be the option to play with college team in the NHL games. I'd be surprised if a college only game would sell well enough for hockey. |

100 Classic Books for Nintendo DS. Apparently the DSi XL is big enough that Nintendo feels comfortable treating it like an eReader:
Nintendo DS Games - 100 Classic Books | E-Books to Download | Nintendo My wife is giddy over this. We will probably be getting this (and we have 2 DS Lites, not XLs, so I doubt it will be comfortable reading on it). Last edited by MJ4H : 06-09-2010 at 01:16 PM. |

Finally they have a book list! Been waiting for that for a while. They had a list for the UK version for the longest time but not the US version.
Since it's only $20. I'll probably get it and it's a pretty nice selection of public domain books. SI

Yeah I'm wondering how far they're going to go with it. I would hope they would do something like they've done with the AHL and have it be a playable league, but I suspect that would be a bit too much. I'm expecting the NCAA teams to be in the game like all the Euro teams. Playable in exhibition, and can be used to replace an NHL team for dynasty. Clearly the most needed addition to NHL 11 would be playoff beards.

I figure they'd use it in the Be a Pro mode. You start off there before getting drafted potentially. Sort of like how The Show uses the minors.
I would hope it could be a playable league, but I don't know if EA really would put that kind of effort into a series they already dominate. Last edited by RainMaker : 06-09-2010 at 11:28 PM. |

So I've been playing the hell out of the FIFA World Cup game winning the WC with the US and Netherlands. I just started a new campaign with Cameroon. In my first group is Somalia, Djibouti, and Kenya. Even though they present absolutely no challenge, I don't think I've ever had this much fun. Just seeing the mistakes that are made by the players is incredible. It seems in most sports games, the teams play basically the same and you don't really see that many errors. When playing these teams, passes are off, shots are off, players lose the ball on the dribble. But they realize that Eto'o is pretty much all I've got, and whenever he gets the ball there are 3 guys waiting there. It's pretty cool, and something I didn't see when going through qualifying with the US or Netherlands.
