So I'm a little late to the party having just watched "Boy in the Striped Pajamas."

Paced evenly if a little slow for a bulk of the movie however had probably the most intense last 10 minutes of any movie around. Recommend if you are feeling like an emotional historical drama.

So I just spent the morning watching The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret and now I'm like, "...What the fuck did I just watch?" It was hilarious and yet so, so wrong on so many levels.

I am not an anime fan and nor have I watched this series, but the folks I know who do like anime - some more than others - all rave about "Attack On Titan."

It's available via Netflix streaming now.

It took some time to warm up to the show, but it was rather fun once I did. I had completely forgotten about it until now though.

For Downton Abbey fans, The Paradise is what I like to call Downton Abbey: The Retail Store Edition. It's not quite as good as DA, but it's a worthy viewing for fans, especially for those of us who have ever worked retail. I was binging on it last night and will finish out Season 1 tonight or tomorrow probably.

It also got picked up for a second season, it appears.

Rectify, which doesn't seem to get talked about on here. Six episode first season that was very good and the 6th episode was amazing.

And it doesn't hurt that Jennifer Morrison is freaking cute.

Watched the 'Monarchy (UK)' series. I wasn't well-versed on the English Monarchy. Was a great way to learn that part of history.

While it remains one of my favorite shows, I thought the back end of s2 of Orange is the New Black was a bit iffy. Just to speak generally, I thought we got way too much Crazy Eyes and I thought the tonal differences were iffy. This isn't supposed to be Oz

I saw an interview with Crazy Eyes. The actor said the producers thought season one was too much like Summer camp and they wanted to show more of what prison was really like.
I really enjoyed season 2. I liked the flashbacks of the women in their previous lives and how they got there. Also, the V thing kept it tense.

A great season.

I thought S2 was weaker than S1, but still quite good. The way the season ended in particular was awesome.

I'm not sure at what point it becomes stop worthy. I felt entertained several seasons but there does come a point where it just starts to feel so repetitive.

Which is the reason why I only have basic cable. And now I just got Amazon Prime so I may never leave the house. Well I guess I do have to work.

Yeah, if we keep Netflix we are going to have to dumb down our movie channels via Direct TV. I can't see paying for all of those movie channels if we have netflix.

My daughter really enjoyed DC Cupcakes. Certainly isn't an in-depth viewing experience, but she's an artistic girl and really loved seeing how they could turn food into art.

If you liked This is the End and Hot Tub Time Machine and you don't mind laughing at the book of Revelation, Rapturepalooza was good for some laughs and little thought.

Yeah, I thought Rapturepalooza was decent. I think 'It's a Disaster' might be the best "apocalypse comedy" though.

Curious if anyone else ever kept up with Luther? I've probably watched 12 of the 14 episodes (broken into 3 miniseries) in the past week. I'll agree the plot isn't as complex as some other shows (much more of a "How will Luther get the guy?" instead of a typical whodunit with a late reveal), but Idris Elba is just so good, and between cinematography and music I really like the mood. I guess the future plan is to make a movie? But for now all 14 episodes are up, and worth watching imo.

Nebraska is available to stream. It's a character study about aging and dealing with aging parents. Bruce Dern was very good. Certainly worth a watch.

Charlie Brooker can do no wrong. Heavily sci-fi based with a twilight zone slant. Really one of the better shows to come around in the last 5 years.
