Dang. I heard they only had 50+ players, then their star opted out.

Kind of ironic, considering Liberty's lone loss came when NC State blocked a last second field goal attempt to preserve a 15-14 Wolfpack victory.

Yeah that did cross my mind when it happened-they shouldn't have had karma or whatever for it though

A bunch of Iowa players declaring early. This list includes TWO WRs, a LT, A C and a couple D Linemen.

This list is a mixture of already declared and who I expect to declare. So far it is receivers Smith-Marsette, Smith and LT Jackson.

Miami had no business being alive as long as they were tonight. Credit Perry for his work as a deposed QB coming on for the injured starter though. He was not the problem (looking at you WRs, looking at you) in the shortfall

A Texas defensive lineman got one of the all time great big guy INTs last night in the Alamo Bowl.

Watched the post-game brawl from the Tulsa-Miss State game. I genuinely felt bad for the small handful who were trying to break things up only to get absolutely wrecked for their efforts.

Seriously, I don't know that I've ever seen one of those deals ever result in more TKOs for would-be peacemakers, when you watch the replay they were getting dropped all over the place.

Ham and beans sound AWESOME!

We are doing appetizers. a taco dip, cheese ball, rye bread pizzas and sausage and cheese. May have a makers mark later to mellow the mood.

Our 2nd team all american center is returning next year. That is huge news.

2 DL and a RB declared. Iowa has 6 dudes leaving early. Crazy. Our recruiting is really picking up.

Why the hot crap would you lower your head and hit a guy with the play over as a left tackle? That was a big bonehead move.

It's not fair for Georgia to have to play against this kind of SEC speed.

Given the missing pieces, there's a number of teams that'd have a shot at being better the Mutts today.

I didn't credit Notre Dame much for beating Clemson's backup QB, I see nothing proven by a Cincy win here means they're as good as a lot of Georgia's backups.

There's definitely some truth to it. Nearly every SEC fan base likes to pretend a bowl didn't matter when they lose. GrantDawg and people that post here in general arent really representative of the average college football fan.

That is disparaging to the players. He is saying the players could care less about winning. I think the players would disagree.

In the past two seasons, UGA has had four team captains opt out of their bowl game. Tell me how much a significant part of the roster gives a damn.

I'm not excusing it, I loathe every two-bit chickenshit zero character gutless asshole who does it aside from exceptional circumstances (I don't ding significantly injured players who do it for example) ... but there's a very legitimate question about how much a lot of rosters care about anything other than themselves in this era.

That was a mighty impressive play by Stevenson. Came off his player, and blocked the ball without looking back or fouling the receiver.

My FB comment An unusual amount of awareness AND the pure athleticism to do something with it.

Most players who figure out what's happening in that situation can't process it fast enough to respond to it, fewer still can respond effectively.

I really did not expect a safety on a three man rush. Have to think losing their star LT hurt them in this game.

Errors in the final offensive drive by Cincinnati:

Snapped the ball with 10 seconds twice
Threw the ball stopping the clock

Add those up and that’s roughly 1 minute. Georgia had 1:35 on the clock after the mistakes. Georgia catches ball on 19 yard line. That’s 35 seconds to go 50+ yards. These coaches make millions and make these mistakes constantly. Madden players would manage the clock better

Sadly, we have a running gag about it being the free space on our Kansas coaching blunder Bingo cards.
