When has Bynum been close to 100%? Not very often since he was drafted.

Perkins isn't Duncan, but he's the best post defender/enforcer the Celtics have, which is a bit of a problem considering the size the Lakers have. His importance isn't the kind that always shows up in the boxscores.

A lot of times, super-hyped matchups like this one don't pan out. This one did. I have no idea who is going to win game 7.

Strangely, though, I don't see it being close. Don't know why, but just a feeling. I think that whoever wins will win by 12+. I just have no idea which team that will be.

The thing is- I don't think this has really been a great series. Half the games have been blowouts and another couple one team held the other at arm's length pretty much the whole game.

I can see that. And, objectively, you are probably right. But, for some reason, I have found these back-and-forth blowouts entertaining. It's been cool to see one team look totally unbeatable only to come back two days later and look like it would have trouble in an intermediate-level YMCA rec league.

Like, any one game may not be that memorable. But, the six games taken together have ended up being pretty cool to consider as an overall series.

Whoever wins will have earned the title.

Can't get any better than this.

I am going to be a nervous wreck tonight. If it goes to OT, I will probably need CPR.

Sheed, this is why we paid luxury tax to get you. Earn it tonight.

It's not a question of limited effectiveness for one game and being out one game, it's limited effectiveness for 7 games and being out 1 game. People need to stop complaining about injuries, though I am certain that will be used as an excuse if the Celtics lose tonight (as it already is even before the game is played).

Sure heard Lakers fans doing it before. And I'm sure we would/will hear it again.

To be fair to the Celtic fans, they weren't blaming previous games on injuries, just the refs

I think the Celtics actually win tonight. I think Kobe tries to do so much, and that the Big Four finally have a game where EVERYONE is going well.

The only thing missing in Kobe's "legacy" is a game winner, courtesy of a not so subtle push-off

It definitely could. I obviously want the Lakers to win, but through 6 games your big four has not really clicked. If they do, they probably win. I think it will be a good game tonight.

If they let this game stay this Fkn physical then it favors the Celtics's - WOW they are really letting them play rough.

Unfortunately for the Celtics, the Lakers aren't likely going to continue to shoot under 30%. Might want to grab some defensive rebounds.

Great Defense in the 1Q. Woulda loved it if Ray-Ray hit that dagger 3 at the end of the quarter, but I love this! EFFORT. It was what was missing in the sixth game.

wow. Celtics up by 9 at the end of the first.

Here is a stat for ya:
in this years playoffs the Lakers have led 10 of there 11 home games after the first, and also won every game they lead after the first. The one game they lost, and also the only game they were down after the 1st: Game 2 of the finals Now they are losing after the first at home in this one. Very very interesting.

Never imagined there'd come a day (or two week period) where you feel like a Ray Allen three is a bad shot.

I still feel good. They're getting some good plays on D (like that Sheed block).. They need to drive it every time, They're getting the calls. Need to get Kobe's supporting cast in foul trouble, make him feel like he has to do it all himself.

C's played good D on Kobe in the 1st half. Gasol, on the other hand, has missed several open looks.

Hard, hard fought Game 7 right now.

The combination of Odom/Gasol/Bynum is the scarriest thing about these Lakers, more so than Kobe IMO, and none of them - Odom in particular - have played up to par.

Yup. I think generally with Odom if he doesn't come out blazing he has a tendency to be invisible all game long, but I think Gasol will heat up in the 2nd half, no doubt. And Kobe can't shoot this bad all game.

True. I guess the thing with Kobe is that, similar to MJ back in the day, you just keep your head up and defend him the same no matter how he is shooting, and concentrate on stopping the other 4 guys.

When Kobe goes in to "game take over" mode, it can often be a good thing for the opposition regardless of how he is shooting.

it's interesting , I'm not particularly a fan of either teams. I guess if I go with family ties, I should root for the Lakers. Anyways I'd like to see Kobe do something Jordan-esque and go all out in the 2nd half and hit a buzzer beater to win, that would be awesome. But I won't be entirely displeased if the C's win and Nate Robinson , Garnett, and Ray allen get another ring (NateRobs first)

Nate is probably one of my favorite players in the game today , behind Steve Nash, Dwight Howard and Tracy McGrady.

I wanted to watch a basketball game, not a farking wrestling match... I really hate the NBA. You have an otherwise great playoffs, and then you ruin it by "letting them play" in Game 7...
