yeah, it was about 7 years ago and I still get stiff. Had injections for it which helped a lot but my range of motion sucks now and I am usually very stiff in the morning.

If shirt.color()=pants.color() then shirt.redraw()

It's the best I'm going to do before about 9am.

Weird. Okay, so I started a cleanse/detox diet of sorts. I say of sorts, because it's not something so extreme where I am only eating roots and tubers or something. Just eating more fruits, veggies, nuts, whole grains, white meats, etc., while cutting out almost all processed sugar, dairy, red meat, most breads, and most importantly--soda.

So I have been waiting for caffeine withdrawals headaches, and I started to get one Monday night (I started Monday). It was fairly mild, but for the most part stayed with me up until a little after lunch yesterday. But then it went away after I took a little 15 minute nap on my break and it hasn't come back.

I drank copious amounts of diet soda for years. I was expecting something more consistent and harsh. Is this because I just have so much caffeine stored up in my cells that it is subsisting off of that, and my withdrawal symptoms are still to come?

Wife left today to take the kids to New Jersey to visit family. I will be home alone for 8 days until I fly out there next Friday to join them. I plan to take a lot of naps and watch sports, while making a few trips to the casino. I should be excited to have a lot of peace and quite but right now I miss them already. Her mother is driving up with them, but I think I'll feel better when they get there as the trip has the potential to be a long one with a 3 year old and a newborn.

My wife was out of town for 4 days including this past weekend and I did indeed miss her. But I drowned my "sorrows" in going to Astros game with Dad for Father's Day, watching a couple of movies she wouldn't want to see off the DVR, and playing about 15 hours of Xenoblade Chronicles along with being strangely productive on some projects I had wanted to work on for a while so it's all good.

I think I'd rather be beaten repeatedly with a heavy object than try to round up new sales reps* at the various national cable networks. It's an unpleasant exercise in patience & a test of one's self-esteem. Now if I could just figure out how to make money for the whole being beaten thing.

*Haven't bought at that level in a while, so all my old reps are basically gone

Two years ago I went to Home Depot and bought a nice, small, 6000BTU LG air conditioner. Last year I needed a 2nd one for another room so I got the same kind. The first one started leaking from the front bottom panel midway through last summer, now the 2nd one is doing the same thing. Meanwhile the 20 year old Carrier is humming along like a bluebird. I'm at the point where I'd rather get an older, used unit than spend any more on a new one.

I avoid Benadryl and Sudafed like the plague if I need to stay awake during the day.

Sometimes that's the only way you learn, since some drugs affect certain people different than others. I had heard how sleepy Benadryl makes you so I avoided that. I didn't hear that on Sudafed, so I found out that one through unfortunate trial and error.

Come to think of it, same goes for Advil PM. I suppose the PM part should be warning enough, but if it isn't, avoid that unless you have the ability to go to sleep for a few.

That's pretty much the case for all of the PM pain reliever/sleep aid combos I can think. They're pain reliever base + benadryl (or something very much like it).

Quote:
Advil PM caplets contain a combination of 200 mg of ibuprofen, and 38 mg of the sleep aid diphenhydramine citrate.[3] Diphenhydramine citrate is very similar to the ingredient diphenhydramine hydrochloride found in Tylenol PM and Benadryl. Advil PM Liqui-Gels contain a combination of 200 mg of ibuprofen and 25 mg of diphenhydramine HCl.

Benadryl for the night: for my money, they've never made a better antihistamine but it's pure knock out juice and it'll dry you up.

Daytime, I used Claritin D- the kind with pseudoephedrine that you have to sign up for the meth list to get.

Problem is that if you mix those, you're going to have some really wicked up and down days. The Benadryl will keep you well rested at night- just make sure you have a good 8+ hours for sleep. Then take the Claritin mid-morning because when it wears off after 12 hours, you'd better be ready to crash.

Oh yea, I found this out the hard way as well. Early morning class, chick nearby threw me a few benedryl tablets as I was a mess. Didn't even cross my mind that it may be drowsy. SPent the next few hours borderline hallucinating as it took everything in my power to force myself to stay awake and try to pay attention. Eventually said "fuck it" and found a nice, quiet corner in the library and passed the eff out.

Speaking of sleepy...I ran out of my "typical" muscle relaxer today so the doctor called in a new scrip for me. But we were concerned I was growing tolerant to the old one, so he called in a different one, one I've never been on.

1) I was very troubled that he didn't know if it was in a class of drug that I have a known issue with. He basically called it in at 4 and said to ask the pharmacist, and if it is in the class, to call him back...which wouldn't be answered for another 24 hours, most likely. Grr.
2) Luckily, it wasn't in the class of drugs I have issues with. But it's making me hella sleepy now. I took the pill 45 minutes ago and am suddenly ready to sleep.

Claritin-D before bed was a really bad idea for me. I would always wake up after about a half hour of really good sleep, with the realization that one day I will die and never wake up again. My flesh will rot away from my unmoving corpse. And it is inevitable.

For some reason I would always have trouble falling back to sleep.

I'd like to score with a heroin. Wonder Woman perhaps. Yes. I wonder how skeevy it would be to buy a wonder woman outfit, and then list it for sale on craigslist, pickup only. Would I meet an outgoing cosplayer or a woman of loose morals who would understand the tone of my offer. I don't need to do anything but watch. I am not a pervert, just an intrigued gentleman.

My company does voluntary biometric screening and they are at my office doing it today. I totally forgot about it and you are supposed to fast the 12 hours prior to your appointment. I just finished eating a salt bagel to soak up the considerable amount of alcohol I drank last night. Oops.

A sure fire way to tell if someone is a chemist or a longshoreman is to have them pronounce the word 'unionized'.

mother nature is a bitch. Flight from Cincinnati to Newark. Cancelled. Get rebooked from Dayton to Philly. Get to Dayton, an hour later flight cancelled. Wife and I are supposed to drive to Maine tomorrow, the only thing the airline could do was get me on a 5:29 AM flight to Charlotte then onto Hartford, where my wife will pick me up on the way to Maine. Luckily I got a room at the Hoilday Inn, at least I can watch MAtt HArvey.

Sadly I had to get up at 3:45. Then I get to the airport and the second leg of my flight is cancelled. They finally got me on a flight that got me into Philly at 9 this morning.
