yup, was tried once and was a terrible concept. Besides, wolves kill other wolves all the time, just not at night. IIRC That tactic was pioneered when having just converted St. Cronin in the tombstone game, Hoops, BK, and myself lead a lynch mob against him. Good times. |

Eh, I sold out both Blade and AE when they screwed up in thread back in BK's Treasure Hunt (I) game before that. Heck, I gunned for Blade on D2, picking up where I had started as a villager before being converted D1, all the way back in X-Com which was something like WW X.
And I'm sure others did it before me. Wolves have been screwing other wolves in thread forever. But Tombstone was damn fun ... would have been even better if I had launched the plan I had with BK that involved shooting you and taking over your top-dog wolf spot. Wolf day-killing wolf, now that would have been pretty epic. But I wimped out. |

I think it is only appropriate that Hoops died in day 1 of a game that I'm running. All is right with the world.

I have to say I feel kind of honored that they took me out so early. makes me feel respected to be taken out right after Hoopster.

I still don't know how I ran my game based on "The Thing" where nobody even died, let alone was revealed. I'll have to look back at that one sometime.

why the fuck do people use these abilities on day 2 when they are completely taking shots in the dark and are just as likely to kill a villager with a role as they are a wolf.
Jesus Christ J23, you had 2 votes on you, would have made a lot more sense to reveal, I guess screwing the village even more is better then dying with your power unused... You gave the wolves a huge leg up for no reason, there were about 10 things you could have done better then closing your eyes and taking a shot. I know there is stuff you are still learning, but man, just not a good move. |

It appears he did not understand his role and didn't realize he would be removed from the game as well.

Even then it is a poor move. You have just a big a chance to hit on the seer, bodyguard, etc...then a wolf. With that role you wait until the seer ID's a wolf and goes for a 2-1 or if the seer role is countered you settle things right there. Or you reveal your role and are semi-trusted without using the ability or taking the risk. Or you take it to the grave and don't screw the villagers. |

Poor J23. I have made some phenomenally bad calls before, and that's when I was experienced. He's still learning. I give him credit for taking a shot. I would rather guy take chances than sit on his ability and let it go to waste. Was there a better way to use it today? Obviously. But I like that he was willing to take the chance.

I agree in most cases, but when the odds are you are going to kill 2 villagers including yourself I think it is the wrong move. Especially in this case. Day 2 and limited info, he could have just revealed and likely would have lived, he only had 2 votes on him. I know I came off harsh, but it is just frustrating. |

Oh, I completely understand, and I agree with you, not a smart move at this point. I'm not so much for commending him for this specific move, but for playing the game aggressively, which, IMO, makes the game that more interesting to follow along and play in.

I couldn't have revealed, or power goes away. Though I suppose I could have revealed and lost the power. It was my fault for playing when I got swamped w/ work, and thus didn't re-read my power. I fly out of town tomorrow AM and as a result have a ton of work that had to get done by today. As it was, I was trying to keep involved tonight in class on my cell phone, so it was not ideal. Not trying to make it an excuse, just explaining what happened. Hopefully it doesn't ruin the game for everyone else (CR included). |

Better lucky than good? I've now hit cunning wolf and convert on my near-random Day 1 votes over the last three games. I guess I have better bad-guy radar with no information than when I try to look through posts and figure stuff out logically. |

I never even got to use my power and have a multiple day discussion convincing the village that I truly was the evil Uhura.

I can't begin to tell you how disappointed I, too, was when you bought it there. The whole reason I set that up that way was to see a "which Uhura is she" showdown!

This post is a public service announcement to remind people who die that there is a place where they can express their rage/wrath/anguish about being cast from the game of werewolf before their time. It seemed that a large number of people last game had forgotten about this would-be-juggernaut of a thread.
