I won't bother with the write-ups anymore.
PATH12 WAS LYNCHED! PATH12 WAS THE BODYGUARD! THE WOLVES HAVE NIGHT-KILLED NFG22! NFG22 WAS THE SEER! LATHUM KILLS THE JACKAL! (1:1 WOLVES:VILLAGERS RATIO) WEREWOLVES WIN!

Good game, all! I'm curious who other people would have picked if they were the alpha wolf. I just chose people who had played in a lot of games that I had never been wolves with before. My only exception was avoiding ntn.
Man, NFG, you were having a GREAT game up until the end there. Scanned four wolves in a row: Lathum, me, PB, then Render, who had just been converted as the unholy mark. Path -- if it's any consolation, PB thought you were hinting at being the bodyguard way back in like Day 2. |

Ultimately I think he lost the game for the villagers. His not voting that one round cost the lynching of you. I was waiting for his vote, ready to put it in. A move without him would have been too suspicious I thought at that time. The game would have swung against the wolves at that point. For me, that is the point the game was lost. Here were my scans: Pass, nfg22, lathum. I also said PB. I also have to wonder why I wasn't scanned by ntndeacon. He wouldn't have put himself in the situation of not knowing about who to vote for when I got put out. Bad call in my eyes there. I'll be interested to see why he didn't chose to scan me at that time. Plus, he didn't seem to pick up on my 'foolish' comment either. At that time when I was getting lynched, I knew that nfg22 would cop some heat, but also that the wolves would drive the vote. And that's what happened. |

As you now have figured out, I did get a villager return from Lathum. And remember I did have one role...of course it was for the dead Heinz. lol

If you notice, this is the same game config (-1 villager, since we only had 16 people) that Beneath the Iron Cross had.

I specifically thought this was going to be the winning shot for the village. Lathum goofed and said "bodyguard" when Neon's ruleset has a few different titles (Magistrate for Duke, etc.). Alas... |

thanks. To be honest I think this game was pretty slanted towards the wolves winning. Kudos to Jackyl for having a nice gut read, and apologies to Path, he has been down this road with me before and I can imagine it must be frustrating arguing with a pain in the ass SOB like me. |

I thought path should have gone back and showed NFG a post where he hinted at being the bodyguard way back. The one PB saw said something about him being high while posting -- I think he could have dug that up and used it to argue that he was hinting at being the herbalist way back then.

I think Lathum countered with that right away, which is probably why path didn't hammer on that more. I thought path could have used it to point out his old hints, though.. |

I am surprised Path just didn't make the argument that he voted Render yesterday when Render and I were on NFG. If Path had been a wolf all he would have had to do was cast the third vote on NFG to end the game

Only after nfg22 missed a vote. I'm not kidding either. I was waiting for it to come in. Pass would have been out turn 3. I'd have gone for PB next, and then tried to make a case for you. |

I'm not really sure why PB came out the way he did also before the cultist. And nice try by TheJackyl but we never really believed you. I came up with the idea to ask you to out the last wolf just in case someone tried what you did. Had you guessed right the game would have been over for us. |

Another thing that surprised me was I drove alot of the lynch votes.
Clap, SY and ITC were all votes that I pushed pretty hard. |

Good game by the village too. Frankly when I died and learned who the wolves were I thought it was going to be a slaughter with them winning.
Good close game all-around |

I don't think there was anything I was going to be able to do to change nfg's mind. Especially after pointing out exactly what ntn said he would have done if he found a role and that didn't matter to him.

Well never mind about how PB caught the hints, then! Turn 5 was when we attacked RendeR, who was the unholy mark.

I outed myself because the seer had me at that point and I knew when Pass was lynched that I would be gone next so I just played it out rather than try to lie for a day.

Nice work, Lathum. It is fun watching him play - he is the hardest working man in the WW business once you get to the mid-game point.

I've talked to Sonic about this once he died, and he actually did well here. Sonic worked out that he was the fool and that nfg was the seer. He scanned nfg and got a result that he was the fool. That meant either Sonic or nfg was the seer. He'd got villager scans off of Pass (which is why he saved him on day two) and PB, once nfg started dropping hints that he had a "hunch" that Pass was a wolf he worked out that nfg must be the seer. Of course he probably should have revealed all this when his neck was on the block but I guess he didn't want to out the real seer. The game was very slanted to the wolfs Neon - 12:4 with all the wolves having a role and an unholy mark is a bit too much. Last game the villagers had the uber-powerful witness role (which pretty much took one wolf out of the equation) - this time round the witness was more balanced. I actually thought PB made a good role saying he was the wolf. I thought it vital that NTN be killed the next night and by confirming nfg's story (when nfg was under a lot of pressure) he made sure that nfg got the bodyguard. But then he persisted with it instead of backing down near the end of the day and claiming to be pretending to be a cultist. Had he done that I think there would have been enough doubt to lynch nfg the night Render bought it. I think converting Render actually weakened the wolves, bizarrely enough as Lathum aligned himself to strongly with him. Never thought he's talk his way out of that, so kudos for that. Myself I acted suspiciously because I was ignoring my villager voice (which was telling me to vote Pass both times I voted). KWhit clearly picked up on that. (He claimed that he noticed I was acting differently from the last game we played in - where, ironically enough, I was a wolf). In retrospect I think the wolves would have been better if I'd switched my vote to Pass. I think someone would have come to save him and incurred KWhit's wrath. Otherwise at least we wouldn't be in the situation were the wolves were clearly (as proven by nfg's scans) seen to be defending Pass from a lot of heat. Easy to see in retrospect. Can't believe Pass survived three lynches by one vote. Really though why was everyone going on about how dangerous a wolf Pass was why not mentioning Lathum. I thought he was going to be the biggest target at the beginning. Last edited by Narcizo : 05-01-2008 at 12:43 PM. Reason: "witness" not wolf. Woohoo! Edit Edit |

It's the same configuration as the other game, with the Witness role powered down. It was 13:4 last game, with all the same roles. It worked out well, actually. I like how different situations can be created. The Unholy Mark could have been lynched, and the Holy Mark would've been the one remaining... putting the wolves at a disadvantage. What I haven't seen yet is the Wolfling use his ability to lie and cast doubts, specially since he dies looking like a Villager.
