Also, there's a very good reason not to look at the words we have so far. If we get too locked in to this current set, we might be missing out on the possibility for other words. You might be better served first starting from scratch, then seeing what we have afterwards. |

I'd also like to bump the M-15 in EMPTIES to M-20. We won't be able to make DOOMED, but we can change RAGE to RAMPAGE, giving us three extra letters. We might not be able to make a word quite as long as DOOMED, but we can at least do DOTED, which is onle one letter less, so we gain two overall. Although that D column looks tasty -- we should be able to do better than DOTED. We've got D plus O, E, G, D, A, T, O. Any ideas?

Or we can use M-20 for DOGMATA, use M-15 for EMPTIES, then for the R column, we have R, A, P, G, A, E. We could try to get RAVAGE, but we would lose OLIVE.

What do you think of GOURAMIS? Proper noun? It's a species.

FYI, beware someone on this side evidently fed information to the other team yesterday about the challenge. There's no reason to believe this is not the case again.

Well someone straight up told them I wasn't going along with the challenge, or that some of Oz wasn't going to. I think someone on their side admitted knowing about me/some of Oz not following cronin's advice.

I'm also thinking about CHIDEN instead of CHIDES. That opens up an S to try to improve NATES. We've got N -- A, E, S, T

The only ones who could do that are the wolves and me. And I can assure you that I'm not giving away our answers. Every time we go to tribal council, I know my neck is on the line. And with the Helsing tribe getting to vote off two of our members, I have a feeling that one of their selections would be me. Now, would the wolves give out our answers? Only if they didn't think they were in danger of being picked by Helsing. |

If they were saying things straight up, it either was path getting it from JE, which I doubt, or whoever said that would have been revealed as a wolf. Plus, if anyone reported on you, Alan would have thrown paper. |

If we make CHIDEN, we can move the S in NATES from 74 to 94, which means we can make KIANGS.

Turns out I was probably wrong, Gramm made some sort of vague reference to it, but I don't think he was selling us out.

So by my calculations, that puts us at a nice 117. The only three we're missing are D-9, D-60, and R-83. So the secret password is DDR?

Path just informed me that Anxiety, KWhit, Pass, ITC, and AE are being bandied about as their selections should they win. |

Have you thought about who to put up on the other side in case we win the challenge? I'm thinking Path could fly as a wolf. My original assessment for remaining wolves and this is based on feeling of how people are playing the game are Path, Mr W and Kwhit. So, as a compromise, we could send Path and Mr. W. That would give Helsing a chance to choose and it will almost surely be Path.
Also, if you really want to consider a new alliance and I'm not saying that is the route I want to go yet: We could tell Helsing that GE posted his good / bad list in our new howard thread and of course now that we know he is the seer, that list must be based on his seer scans. What do you think Pass? |

I'm a bit worried about that idea. First of all, we'd have to deal with a barrage of questions about it, and we'd damn well better have our story straight. I think we can straddle both sides for a while. The only thing that worried me is that New Helsing found out how much I've been doing to win this challenge -- and that would only happen if JE snitched to path. |

I'm not sure why you would lie about it. Best I can think of is that you're trying to mess with my allegiances. Maybe it's true -- I just don't see their (or his) motivation. |
