George Washington folding in the face of an attack on America seems like an apt metaphor.

Well at least it's not as bad as taking a knee, right?

On the bright side, even Fox News was appalled and a number of GOP Congresspeople were calling it a coup. Maybe this may help getting Trumpism out - as now those who tried to fan the flames now have been personally threatened.

The first sign for Cruz and his idiot buddies that this was a terrible idea politically should have been Tom Cotton not supporting it.

Of course Biden is the first one to speak because Trump has no leadership capabilities.

I think it is insurrection, but I also worry a bit that the more people say it the more likely it is that Trump pulls the last lever he has, the Insurrection Act.

ABCNews reporting that thus far Trump has refused to say anything and that he sees this as a potential opportunity - waiting to see how it plays out.

It's amazing listening to Biden and how he can talk and not make it all about himself or sound like some blathering idiot that can't stay on topic.

During the rally earlier in the day, Trump said he would not concede and called on the supporters to march up to the Capitol. He promised the crowd he would be with him, but did not follow-up his promise and went back to the White House.

Normally I would agree, but the imagery here is staggering. Plus I have some anecdotal evidence. My FIL was a Trump supporter and he texted me how horrible this is and we have been headed this direction for a while.
