Sorry I wasn't advocating changing this league to an auction league. I just wanted to mention it in case others were interested in a different auction league. This league is awesome. Thanks for taking care of everything SI.

Nah, I didn't figure you were. It's good to know.
I think I'll do this still as a draft league but if someone wants to do a separate auction league- I'm game for it. Heck, we could even have it with the same people. But I'd recommend waiting until March to do that one. SI

In for this one and hoping it'll retain the draft method. Like SI, I'd be up for trying out an auction draft as well, but as an addition to this one, preferably not as a replacement.

Depends on how you do it (the entry fee) and how much really. Something with automatic currency conversion would be appreciated

As for the dollar amount i was thinking $10-20. The way we handle the money in one league is to setup a paypal account for the league which everyone has access to the password on so that you can check at any time.

Okay kids lets get a show of hands for an Auction league. This would be Roto style setup rather than head to head. I will work out the roster specifics but i was thinking of a $10 or $20 entry fee. Draft wise i was figuring a draft date of late March and we could run the draft on a weekend or later on a weeknight depending on what works with everyone's schedule. This would be a weekly roster move league like our current head to head league. Please respond if interested and let me know $10 or $20 for the entry fee. We could do AL only, NL only or mixed league so please let me know your preference there as well.

I would be interested in an auction league. I would also be fine with what we did last year as well. The most important thing is that money is involved and that I don't bid or draft nearly as many relief pitchers.

It sounded to me like people still wanted to keep this league the same (the Hardcore League) and then create a second league, being the auction league cubboy is referring to. I haven't heard anything from SI that this league is up and running yet...but I would get involved in an auction league. I'd prefer $10 at this point, and if we don't do mixed (which is my preference), NL only would be my next choice. Also weekends work best for a draft, but if we do after 8PM CST, I can do a weeknight (as long as it isn't Friday)

Yes this is something separate from the Hardcore league. I will start a separate thread for this later tonight so the two leagues do not get mixed up. I will give first rights to players from the Hardcore league if they are interested.

This serves as a quality bump- glad to see someone else running an auction league but, unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to participate this year.
As for the hardcore league, post upcoming... SI

Looks like i will not be able to get the league setup until tomorrow or Saturday. I have a couple of tests i have to take for school so i am a bit limited on time until Saturday.
