The 2081 NFL Regular Season
I predict 13-3 a drop of two wins from last year. I have 9 injuries coming out of preseason, it was a bear. Week 1 – At DC – I was hoping to open at home. Ah well, DC are our new rivals as they have won a recent Super Bowl and have made it to the playoffs multiple times over the last few years. We…win 40-17. Wow. MVP is SLB Hampton with 2 picks, 1 pick six. Curtis 33 of 51, 288 and 3:2, scores by Engelberger, Springfield and Flanagan, FF by Conway, Sloan, Ansell, rec by Conway, Week 2 – At Portland – We win 19-3. MVP? SLB Hampton again. 2 sacks, 1 FF. 2 sacks by Cox as well. Lincoln a rush score on 84 yards and Curtis was 19 of 27, 167 and 1:0, score by Flanagaon who was 7 for 109, picks by Ansell and rookie Kocurek. FF by Burgess rec by Anthony, Get ready for a special game… Week 3 – Seattle - This is the first professional regular season game played in the state of WV! There was a preseason game between the Steelers and Falcons at Mountaineer Field back when I was student at WVU and Heinz Field wasn’t ready. I went to it, and it was announced that this preseason game was the first NFL Game in the state of WV, but this is the first regular season game to be in my home state. Ah c’est la vie! I hope we win! We win 26-13. Good job! Curtis, MVP, 21 of 30, 239 and 1:0, scroe by rookie Robinson, Lincoln is 24 for 146 and 1 score. Pick by Conway, FF by McGregor, rec by Sloan, 4 KRB by Richardson Week 4 – Atlanta – We win 40-11. Curtis, MVP, 27 of 39, 282, 2:0, score sby Engelberger and Flanagan, Lincoln 23 for 104 and 2 score, picks by Ansell and Korucek, FF By burgess and Geer, rec by Wagener and Conway, 3 sacks by McGregor, 4 KRB by Richardson We are 4-0 at the 1st quarter mark.

Stats
Offensive Passing QB Curtis – 383 of 588, 4239, 31:9, 97.5 rating Curtis led the league in yards by 181, scores by 8, and was 3rd in rating but first for 16 game starters. He was pulled in the 4th quarter twice and still Was this good! Rushing RB Lincoln – 340 for 1337, 3.93 ypc, 13 scores 2nd in yards by 37, top in scores by 2. Receiving Here is my receiving list. Springfield finished with a solid number of yards and was 4th in yards but no All Pro again. Flanagan led all TEs by a lot of yards and by scores. Flanagan led my team in scores and was 5 yards short of the first 1000 yard season by a TE in my uber dynasty and that was the best year by a TE I’ve had, Wilkerson netted 750 yard,s Engelberger another All Pro and 4 scores and 327 yards, not as many yards as last year when he had more than 500, but still good, and Lincoln added 3 scores and 365 days in a year in yards. Good stuff catchers! Blocking Richardson led my team in KRB with 30, which is okay and Vilma did well. Richardson’s 7 pancakes were 2nd most in the league. Rookie Cornyn needed to do better with his 8 sacks that led my team and just 18 KRB. Special Teams K Ramirez – 34 of 40, Long of 50, 47 of 48 PAT Great PAT Numbers! But he needs better on those FG by one or two. Not bad though overall P Polley – 94 punts, 48.8 avg, 41 inside 20 Great year again! NO RET TDs Sloan led my team in special teams tackles with just 19

Defensive
Wagener led my team in tackles but he was really down, and wasn’t good there. He also only had 2 sacks. Speaking of sacks, see that number for McGregor? Nasty! The next highest was 16.5 so he led the league by 3.5 sacks! His 14 blocks led the league and were double the next highest at 7, dude’s a force of disrupting nature. Cox netted me double digit sacks again with 10 and was fine and was 7th most in the league. Hampton grabbed me a studly 7.5 sacks and another All Pro. Ansell netted me 5 sacks in his first year at WLB but I’d like a few more. Sloan though…2.5 sacks? Right after that big pay day and we could have replaced him was Casas at 1.30? That’s not good. Ansell led my team with 4 FF Pass Coverage This is the first year I’d say we had a “Good Year” in coverage. Geer’s 18 pasdef was 2nd in the league, Anthony and Conway each had at least 4 picks, Wagener needed a pick or two, but I like his large 14 pasdef, Riley’s 2 picks and 11 pasdef are fine, and Hampton had 3 picks and 14 pasdef. Note that nickelback rookie Kocurek was with 3 picks and 9 pasdef as a rookie. Not bad!

Off. Player of the Year – QB Efrain Curtis – Dude wins a quadfecta, dude wins this award! Def. Player of the Year – DE Henry McGregor – This 2nd round #32 pick just gave me a ton of sacks and netted me a DPOTY for the league! Nasty! Special Teams Player of the Year – K Britt Ramirez - Just one missed PAT, and had a solid year for the kicking. Good stuff! Rookie of the Year – CB Larry Kocurek – 3 picks and 9 pasdef as a rookie? Not bad Larry! Heart Award – CB Rico Harmon – This backup CB isn’t even a dimeback but he got 1 pick and that was nice!

Hall of Fame Watch
After that year, here are the players on my team and how I rate their HOF chances in order Most likely QB Efrain Curtis – Started and won two Super Bowls, and was backup for two more. 2 All Pros, 1 Super Bowl MVP 1 Off. Player of the Year, 1 league MVP. Until this year, I thought Curtis was on the outside looking in, but he exploded this year and really dominated and that helped. RB Lincoln – 2 league MVPs, 2 Rings, 1 Super Bowl MVP, 3 All pros. Stud RB that has played really well. Could retire tomorrow due to an injury and would be in eh conversation. SLB Hampton – 2 rings, 4 All Pros, 2 Def. Player of the Year – a clear powerhouse with the inside track on the HOF. Our best D person. TE Conrad Flanagan – 3 All Pros in 5 years, in a hard to get position where many start but only two get All Pro. Has had dominant roles in the game. ILB Wagener – 1 Def Player of the Year, 2 All Pros. We need some more All Pros from the guy to get back to form, but if that were to happen? I could see him getting the nod. DT Sloan – 2 All Pros in 4 years and led the league in sacks one year so far, his low sack total this year would need to be a one of a kind, but a few more All Pros? Likely HOF career. DE McGregor- Needs to continue, but an All Pro and a Def Player of the Year in his 2nd year is pretty good as astart. Needs a career resurgence: WR Springfield – Just one All Pro in 6 years OC Richardson – Ditto in 6 years FB Engelberger – Can a FB with a ton of All Pros get in? We’ll find out with Rose in a few years, could Engelberger do so? DE Cox – One All Pro in 5 years. Needs a few more

The 2082 NFL FA Period #1
We pick 1.32 and I interview potential picks. Burgess dropped to 47/47 and we let him go so I’d love a new ILB to replace him. I interview DCs, LBs, and OTs, and a token DT. I sign my RFAs I care to. I don’t sign 3. We have 47 on my roster. Extensions Starters SILB Wagener, 116 mill, 4 years, 13 mill savings this year – I do it, he’s too good not to and I have the cash. SLB Hampton, 213 mill,4 years, increase of 3 mill - I do it, 2 time NFL DPotY gets his money. K Ramirez, 75 mill, 4 years, drop of 2 mill – I sign him DE Cox – 94 mill, 4 years, drop of 3 mill - I hold off until post draft Backups QB Bonila, I extend him just 1 extra year, as I need tol let him head out as I need to bring another backup QB that’s better I also have key backups like DE Moorehead, and WILB Law and WR Blackwell coming up, and I’ll wait until post draft for that. Do I want to chase any of my UFAs? Springfield? 180 mill for 4 years? Nope! Good luck! Powell? 130 mill, 4 years? Nope! Good luck too! Week 2 – Springfield heads to the Colts Week 4 – Powell heads to the Packers I’ll see you at the draft!

The 2082 NFL Amateur Draft
Ready for the third injection of talent for the decade? Picking 1.1 is… Portland and I think the Pioneers will go with a stud RB Cary Dionne. And they take… OT Blake Esparza. Reach. Dionne heads off the board at the 1.5 spot to Indy. This is a deep RB draft and my hope is that we can grab a better backup for Lincoln. We head to 1.32! RB Alan Miller – I didn’t waste interviews on RBs, but his bars looks great for the 1.32 spot. He’s only a runner, and not good at the catching. OG Cris Stephenson – As Scouted, looks like an OG version of Vilma that can really only do the run blocking although he’s really good at STR as well. SLB Phil Parker – 3rd best player on the board, okay bars, very underrated Here, wanna see the three options I’m considering? Here’s the Parker, he’s the project of the three. He’s a solid entrant and looks good for pass rush and thinking and hitting but weak at run d and just okay at coverage. I could move him to ILB but I really would prefer a Run D better for my inner pair. Here’s Stephenson. As Scouted. This is the safe pick, but LG is my lowest need as I extended Schau and drafted a better OG in the 1st last year. But he’s certainly a solid and safe(ish) pick for my squad. He can’t block a pass rusher if you spot him 2 seconds but he’s well rounded otherwise. And here’s Miller. This is a deep draft for them, and as you can see he’s way better than you’d expect for 1.32. How many RBs went in the 1st before us? 5. Which is par for the course. My backup RB is siting at 35/35, and we really need a better one. Lincoln is in his 6th year and will start to fall, and could be injured at any time. (although I don’t recall him ever being even probable) Do I want to risk it? This is also insurance for when Lincoln falls which could happen in a year or three. He’s tied for the 2nd best RB in the league, prior to the draft, and falling to 70/70 or 68/68 should still play well. What would you do?

I do the safe pick and grab Stephenson. The others are just too much of a gamble. His RB is much better than Schau’s.
2.32 – Who do I like here? RB Jameson Flanders? OT Phil McCulley? WLB Jerry Schindler? SLB Demetrius Turpin? I love them all. I go Flanders I need a quality backup to RB. We are smashmouth offense. He looks like a solid grower. 3.32 – WR Cody Martin? He looks solid. I grab him I need a 5th WR. 4.32 – How about QB Norman Moya who is the best on the board? I grab him. 5.32 – OG Bryson Witcher? Yup! This is Stephenson insurance of busting. It’ll also let me cut Schau as he looks to be pretty good. 6.32 – WR Mercury Elsea? He looks solid and like a BAP so I grab him. This is also insurance in case Martin busts. He;s also good at KR. 7.32 – CB Heath May? MLB Roderick Sienkiewicz? I go MLB. He’s a looker but this time I hope he won’t fall. Rookie Lookie #1 1.32 – OG Cris Stephenson, Cornell, Ivy League Baby, 36/72 2.32 - RB Jameson Flanders, San Diego State, 47/51 3.32 – WR Cody Martin, Idaho, 29/50 4.32 – QB Norman Moya, Vanderbilt, 11/55 5.32 – OG Bryson Witcher, Arizona State, 17/59 6.32 – WR Mercury Elsea, Kent State, 24/38 7.32 – MLB Roderick Sienkiewicz, Washington, 21/54 There you are!!!!!!!!! There are TEN suspensions! I don't know that I've ever seen double digits suspensions!

Good stuff. But the big boom? Moya, which I didn’t see as amid 50s QB in the 4.32 I was already fine. Witcher boomed hard as well and I now have 3 OGs with a 70+ pot. He’s a pass blocking specialist. Stats
Offensive Passing QB Curtis – 308 of 516, 3326, 20:7, 86.9 rating Wow Rushing RB Lincoln – 315 for 1130, 3.59 ypc, 9 scores Not sure why he won All Pro he was 6th in yards, and 4th in scores Receiving Wilkerson started strong and then faded as the team did. Flanagan was 2nd on my team for yards but down 200+ from last year. Robinson was 3rd with 567 yards and 2 score, and Lincoln got me just 464 yards and another 3 scores. Engelberger his first non-All Pro season. Not good here either. Blocking A fine year by Richardson and Cornyn…but the rest? Rookie Stephenson was with a low 14 KRB and just 4 sacks allowed. Not bad and he was 3rd, but you hope for better Special Teams K Ramirez – 34 of 40, Long of 52, 33 of 40 PAT Way too many missed PATs. P Polley – 113 kicks, 50.2 average,48 in the 20 I don’t recall a punting season this good ever. Certainly not in this dynasty. WR Ellis – THREE KR RET Scores! Sloan led my team in special teams tackles with 21.

Defensive
Anthony led my team with a ton of tackles and Wagener’s number rose nicely. McGregor netted me another nice 12 sacs and Sloan’s 9.5 gave him 2nd on the squad and his 3rd All Pro. Ansell notched 7.5 sacks and Cox just 6.5. Not bad. Sloan also led my team with 5 FF. Pass Coverage Wow, hello Conway! He grabbed me a ton of picks and was 2 off the leader at 9. He grabbed me 13 pasdef as well, and Anthony netted me a nice 4 picks and 10 pasdef. Wagener was back with 3 picks and led all LBs with picks and 12 pasdef as well.

The 2083 NFL FA Period #1
We sign Cox to 3 years, 86 mill and drop his cap hit by 20 mill I interview players that might want to be there at 1.24. I need a better LB. I also interview DBs and OTs. I sign my RFAs that I care to and we have 46 on my roster and 11 mill available Key Extensions Vets QB Curtis – Current cap hit of 92 mill, we extend him by an extra year and his cap hit drops by 22 mill SS Anthony – I extend him by 3 years and drop our cap by 3 mill RB Lincoln – Wants 4 years, for 171 mill, cap hit drop of 13 mill, but this would take him through his 11th year. I do so. TE Flanagan – Wants 127 mill for 4 years, and this drops his cap hit by 6 mill. I do so FS Conway – Wants 52 mill, 3 years, drop fo cap by 1.5 mill. I do so Former Rookies Looking for their First Deal DE McGregor – Wants 140 mill for 4 years, increase of cap by 22 mill CB Geer – Wants 147 mill for 4 years, increase of cap hit by 22 mill as well WR Wilkerson - Wants 127 mill for 4 years, increase of cap hit by 21 mill WLB Ansell – Wants 122 mill for 5 years, increase of cap hit by 14 mill That’s a lot for four studs. I have 51 mill for new players right now, so I can only sign two with my current cash outlet. I can move CB Kucorek to cover Geer and that’s one player done. Of the other three, Wilkerson and McGregor seems the most valuable. I wait until post-draft to figure this stuff out. Should I cut Riley and his freed 35 mill and extend Geer? I don’t chase any of my UFAs Week 5 – DE Moorehead heads to Buffalo

The 2083 NFL Amateur Draft
Picking 1.1 is… Green Bay. I think they’ll go with stud RB Jared Gash. Called it! He was the third best player on the board. I’ll see you in 23! 1.24 – Who do I like here? SS Alex Hickman – Good bars, very overrated SLB Leland Smith – Okay bars, Hard to Read SLB Clarence Hines – 2nd best LB on the board, Hard to Read, okay bars, not great MLB Earl Robinson – 3rd best LB on the board, Very Overrated CB Dalton Villarreal – Top CB on the board, no interviews, okay bars Cb Damien Anthony – Also on the board, no interview, okay bars CB Shawn Theurer – 3rd CB on the board, no interview, better bars Hmmmm Here is Shawn Theurer. He’s good at Run D, picks, two out of three coverages, and thinking, but weak at punching and bumpin and runnin. Is he the obvious choice here? Do I go with someone else? Let me think about it…

I’m doing it. He’s from Marshall and will stay in state and play in WV. How could I not?
2.24 – Who do I like here? Who is the BAP? Earl Robinson is still on the board but he’s very overrated. Next player? DE Omar Wheeler. Is this a bit high for a DE? No. I take him he looks like a growe.r 3.24 – WLB Devonte Bullock? I do it. Done! 4.24 – I need to grab OT Miguel Dusek. 5.24 – BAP? CB Donnell Twitty? Okay. He’s from Fairfield U in Fairfield CT where I worked for 3 years 6.24 – DE Graham White? Okay! He’s insurance against a bust by Wheeler. 7.24 – WILB Tanner Ristic? Yup! He’s protection from a Bullock bust. Rookie Lookie #1 1.24 – CB Shawn Theurer, Marshall from WV!!!, 35/69 2.24 – DE Omar Wheeler, Missouri, 28/48 3.24 – WLB Devonte Bullock, North Carolina, 32/63 4.24 – OT Miguel Dusek, Arkansas, 19/46 5.24 - CB Donnell Twitty, Fairfield – my old UNIV in CT, 29/54 6.24 - DE Graham White, Louisville, 25/61 7.24 – WILB Tanner Ristic, Army, 26/52 There you are! Just 7 suspensions this year which is still a huge number

The NFL 2083 FA Period #2
I cut Riley. He’s in his 8th year and is 29 years old, and he just has one All Pro despite being a great player, and has underperformed his talent. I‘ll give him a shot to sign in the FA Period. McGregor is a holdout and I sign him. I chase these rookies TE Darren Highlander TE Peyton Carney WR Rondell Givens SLB Shaquille Givens Cb Kenyon Shimada CB Lorenzo Ott Week 1 – We sign 2; Riley heads to New England Week 2 – We sign 2 Week 3 – We sign 2. The 2083 NFL Preseason
I cut CB Rico Rodham to give him a chance to sign w/o dropping. I hand out rests and make my roster. We’ll start my 1st round pick and Bullock after I moved him to WILB. Week 2 – At LV – We win 14-9 Week 3 – Baltimore – We win 44-20 Week 4 – KC – We lose 23-26 Week 5 – At NY Jets - We win 33-20 We go 3-1 Rookie Lookie #3 1.24 – CB Shawn Theurer, Marshall from WV!!!, 35/69; 41/67; 42/67 2.24 – DE Omar Wheeler, Missouri, 28/48; 31/46; 30/41 3.24 – WLB Devonte Bullock, North Carolina, 32/63; 41/68; 41/67 4.24 – OT Miguel Dusek, Arkansas, 19/46; 24/48; 24/53 5.24 - CB Donnell Twitty, Fairfield – my old UNIV in CT, 29/54; 35/58; 39/65 6.24 - DE Graham White, Louisville, 25/61; 30/61; 37/71 7.24 – WILB Tanner Ristic, Army, 26/52; 32/54; 34/56 Bullock didn’t bust! Wow. Solid increase by Dusek and he’s now a much better backup. Nice boom by Twitty and wow White. I cut Cox and move White to start for me at DE. Cox had a great career for me and played better than he looked, which was great, but he’s older and with just one All Pro, there was no major reason to keep him. UFAs TE Darren Highlander, 17/36; 18/34; 18/28 TE Peyton Carney, 12/37; 14/35; 13/27 WR Rondell Givens, 24/45; 26/41; 25/41 SLB Shaquille Givens, 27/58; 32/58; 31/53 Cb Kenyon Shimada, 30/47; 34/43; 34/49 CB Lorenzo Ott, 27/50; 32/53; 34/60 Wow hello Ott! Extensions
I extend TE Chesier by a year for just 5 mill next year. I extend Wilkerson who dropped to 58/58 and Ansell. Do I even need to extend Geer? Geer – 75/75 Twitty - 39/65 Ott – 34/60 Kocurek – 59/59 I could extend Geer, sure…but I could also just start Twitty next year. It’s only a drop-off of 10. Geer looks good… but here are his numbers: 2080 – 2 picks, 8 pasdef 2081 – 2 picks, 18 pasdef – his best year by pasdef 2082 – 3 picks, 7 pasdef Just 7 picks in 3 years starting with a 75 ability…couldn’t Twitty get me 2 or 3 pick years with his 65/65? I won’t extend Geer, but if he plays up to his potential I’ll maybe cap him. I start Twitty at nickel to give him that experience. I have 45 mill for new players and… Are there any with 2 years I may want to extend? I sign OG Thornton - 5 years, 78 mill NT Henry Cote – 4 years, 36 mill Wanna see my rookies now? Here is the uneven Theurer who is great at Run D, zone, play D and picks, and horrible at hitting, man and bump. He’s fine! Next? I’ll skip my big nasty 2nd round bust… We’ll look at my best pick and only stud DE Graham White at 6.24. Great guy right? Right! I like him too. He’s fine at run or pass or thinking or hitting, no major strengths or weaknesses.

The Green Page?
White and Theurer Rookie Investigation QB – 3 in the 60s and that’s it RB – 4 in the 60s, and that’s it. Notice a theme? FB – 2 60s, 1 at 51. Come on FB you ruined the theme! TE – None, wow. Wr – 70, 5 50s C – 70, 59 OG – 2 70s, 2 60s, 2 50s. Trend? How many 40s? 5. Ah well, trend ruined. OT – 1 70, 5 50s, ours was 3rd best in the league. DL – 71, 70 – Ours is the best! 4 60s, 8 50s. That doubled each time, another trend! LB – 1 60, Bullock, ours with the top spot. 10 50s. Ristic is the 5th best in the draft. DB – 1 80, 1 70, 7 60s, 13 50s. Wow. Deep is right! Theurer is tied for 3rd best with three total DBs with a 67 pot, Twitty is the 6th best. Good stuff!

The 2083 NFL Regular Season
Last year we had an epic collapse in the second half of the season after a nice 7-1 opening. I think this year we’ll finish better with a 13-3 and be more consistent. I came out of preseason with a single probable injury free which means we’ll have a rough regular season! Week 1 – Greenville – Our old team arrives and we begin our third season in Charleston, WV at home against the Grizzlies. We thump them 44-10. MVP is Curtis who is 26 of 40, 322 and 3:0, hitting for scores Tito Robinson (who was 9 for 128 on the day), Wilkerson and RB Lincoln. Lincoln was 12 for 106 and backup RB Flanders was 14 for 144 and 2 scores. I massage my depth chart as I still want to ride Lincoln. Picks by S Anthony and CB Linquist, 5 KRB by OG Thornton and OT Cornyn. I have an idea. Here is my starter at OC in Year 8 88 Run Blocking 67 Pass Blocking 7 Str 47 End Overall 60/60 I have three stud OGs. Should I move OG 55/69 Cris Stephenson over to OC? He has 65/87 – Run 27/37 = Pass 83 Str 35/42 End Both are the same in RB which is key in a year in which I have a smashmouth offense. The OC is getting older in his 8th year and Stephenson is getting better in his 2nd year. He drops to 46/66 and I move him to start Week 2 – At Buffalo – We win 30-10. MVP is Curtis who is 26 of 33, 244 and 1:0, hitting Lincoln for the score – Lincoln is 30 for 148 and 1 rush score, pick by S Anthony, FF by Anthony and DE Cox, rec by DT Slaon and LB Wagener, and Wagener rec for a TD, 2 sacks by DE Cox, We have 3 questionables and 4 probables coming out of that game. Week 3 – Carolina – We win 36-10. MVp? Its Curtis who is 21 of 29 for 344 and 1:1 hitting for a score FB Engelberger, Robinson was 7 for 128, Lincoln was 34 for 116 and 2 scores. 4 KRB by OT Vilma. Week 4 – BYE BYE BYE Just two injuries left Week 5 – At Seattle – We defeat them 21-13. Curtis is MVP with 22 of 31, 303 and 1:0, netting a score to WR Cody Martin, 2 picks by S Anthony, 3 FF By DE McGregor, another by Anthony, rec by Cox2 and DT Sloan. 2.5 sacks by McGregor, Rookie first round pick CB Theurer is out with a concussion for a few weeks. I massage my depth chart. We finish 4-0 at the first quarter.

Stats
Offensive Passing QB Curtis – 379 of 562, 4249 yards, 26:7, 95.0 rating He was 2nd in rating, 3rd in TD passes and most in yards. Good year buddy! Rushing RB Lincoln – 420 for 1606, 3.81 ypc, 12 TDs 2nd most yards, the most scores, I was expecting a #2 All Pro, but I’ll take a better slate awards for the RB. Receiving Wilkerson took over for a wounded Robinson and came out with a 1078 yard season which is pretty good for the season. He was 8th most in yards. Lincoln was 2nd in yards with 742 which is more than he has ever done by a lot. Dude is not a target. Flanagan was 3rd with a very down year for the All Pro TE. Engelberger another All Pro season with 4 scores at the FB spot. Dude is a weapon Blocking Thornton led my team with 29 KRB which isn’t where you want a 1st round stud OG to be. All of my starters were with 20+ KRB which was nice though! Special Teams K Ramirez – 45 of 58, Long of 59, 43/43 PAT Not great with the FG% but he led the league in FGs made. Good stuff! P Polley – 86 for 48.4 avg, and 41 in 20 Not bad stats for this stud either! Great in 20 %. No KR?PR RET TDs DT Sloan led my team in special teams tackles with just 17
