Making A Murder is crap. Avery is a pile of garbage. I don't care how they are trying to sell it he is guilty as hell.

I had no knowledge of the case before watching this documentary, but if what I saw in these 10 episodes is true, at best there are 3 policemen who should be in prison.

18 Best Movies On Netflix You Haven't Yet Seen
I have seen some of these and generally they are good. I've added a few more to my list as a result.

Thanks for this link! I'm going to watch Goon tonight and go from there. My wife and I are always looking for good movies. She's watched so many more movies than I have, but with no kids tomorrow, we might tackle a few of these on this list. |

Goon is a good movie. Over the top hockey humor along the same lines as the classic Slap Shot. I really liked it.

FYI, #8 Submarine and #5 Detachment don't appear to still be on Netflix.
Also, (to add my own "that you haven't seen yet") a movie from South Korea that I don't see mentioned much that I really liked was The Man From Nowhere. |

Love that Short Term 12 is #1 on that list. It was possibly my favorite movie of '13, and, well, Brie Larson

I haven't seen it yet but it sounds like it portrays Avery as innocent. I remember reading about this story before and it sounded like he was guilty. |

The issue is less about how guilty Avery sounded, and more about how the police acted in their investigation.

Unbranded. Doesn't sound all that exciting, but it's a very entertaining movie and very well shot.

Watched The Propaganda Game last night. It's another documentary inside North Korea. I love seeing these movies where they are granted access to the country. Also, much of the movie involved the crew being guided around by a Spanish man who ended up in the government as a Foreign Affairs position. Really interesting stuff.

I need to see that. Check out "Crossing the Line" if you haven't yet. Not on Netflix anymore but I think Amazon has it for like $2. Documentary about a US Soldier who defected to North Korea during the Korean War. Fascinating look inside the country. Also if you're into a book, Dear Leader is fascinating. I really really liked this show. It is one of my favorite shows I have seen in a long time. I was even able to catch the second season which just finished airing in Britain and that was just as good as the first. It is tough to describe. It is low key, just an enjoyable watch. It is kind of slice of life stuff, not really crazy plot twists and high intrigue, but just a relaxing experience that works great in the 30 minute bites. |

We've got through the two series and the special in the last week, had never seen it til it was mentioned on here. Season one was the peak for me. Season two was too much on the drama and not enough on the comedy side of the comedy-drama mix. Just in case you missed it, there was a one-off Detectorists Christmas special shown in the UK on Dec 23rd. |

Just watched Season 1 of Sense8 - Holy crap, that was AWESOME! Just a really mind-bending premise for a show and it was insane all the stuff they could do just by calling on each other and their various skills. I can't wait for Season 2 (though I hear it may be a while).

If you like to watch normal people attempt abnormal shit in beautiful places, I recommend Inspired to Ride and The Barkley Marathons: The Race that Eats its Young.
Inspired to Ride is about the Tran Am bike race - a completely self-supported bike race across the US. The Barkley Marathons is about the hardest ultra race in the world - one in which almost no one ever finishes. They'll either get you juiced to do your own stupid human trick or make you curl up into a ball on your couch.

Not sure if anyone else is or has watched Stranger Things on Netflix. I am only 4 episodes in and I can safely say this mini-series is pretty amazing. Nothing really new at all but for someone who grew up in the 80's it reeks of so many different 80's movies and shows. I highly recommend giving it a watch. Now things could totally go off the rails the last four episodes but so far I am really enjoying things.

I wanted to binge all 8 episodes but we started watching about 8:30pm last night with my 15, 16 and 23 year old. Needless to say the wife and I were ready to push on at 1am but the kids couldn't hang. Tomorrow night we are finishing up the series and honestly the whole house is excited, which is rare for all of us to like a show.

I got 3 episodes in tonight and want to watch more but...stupid work. Good shit though. Really enjoying it. Enjoying the digital music, the story, the soundtrack, the time, the acting. The kids acting are just amazing. Eleven is amazing and shows so much emotion without saying a word. I will be talking this show up tomorrow at work with friends so that they can go home and enjoy it. |

As I was watching the first 4 episodes, Stephen King kept coming to me. As in this is classic stephen king.
Then Wynonna Rider says the stephen king quote. Great show. Enjoying it tremendously. Will it be more seasons of different stories? Or is it a one and done? or does this tale continue?

Finished the series and it did not disappoint. Probably the best I have seen in a long time and honestly cannot think of a better min series or whatever you classify the 8 episodes as. High quality with a whole bunch of great acting.

Had to do a search and only found a couple posts on Bloodlines. We binged both seasons recently over about a week.
Fantastic series! Exceptional acting and great if you really like character development and the interconnections of people and family. Its really solid in that nobody is "good" or "bad", just realistically portrayed characters with flaws of their own. |

I've been watching Halt and Catch Fire which is a show that I've had in mind but never sat down to watch it. It's good. Not great but good. Four dysfunctional people who are flawed to their cores trying to make their way during the computer age of the 1980s.
