Defense Wagener led my team in tackles but not dominatingly. McGregor led my team with 12 sacks and was pretty solid and Cox netted another solid year starting at DE across from McGregor. Sloan was down with just 6 sacks. SLB Hampton led all LBS in the league with 9.5 sacks and I was expecting him to make All Pro again but it wasn’t to be. He was robbed! This is Ansell’s best sack numbers for us this year – good stuff WLB! Pass Coverage Anthony led my team with 6 picks and had a great 10 pasdef by we were weak in other places. Just one other player with double digit pasdef? No one else with more than 2 picks? Nope!

The 2084 NFL Amateur Draft
Drafting at the top spot is… Cincny and I think they’ll grab WR Ronald Newby a studly stud. They go….OT Ronald Darby, and Newby heads 1.3 to Portland. The 1.31 pick arrives! Who do I like here Ike Zabriskie SLB – Top player on the board, As scouted Paul Hartshorn MLB – 2nd best player on the board, overrated Bart Lodish MLB – 3rd best player on the board, amazing bars, overrated Avery Cudney SLB – 4th best player on the board, Hard to Read Rick Goodwin LDE – No interview, great bars – from WVU! Austin Castillo TE – Looks good with the bars Antoine Belyeu FS – Top DBack on the bord, not bad bars I’m really thinking Lodish…let me show you The only thing Lodish isn’t good at is run d, which you want for a ILB. I need a ILB badly and he’s the best one left although he’s overrated. What do you think? Do you do it? With those bars? Or is the lack of Run D too big of an issue to overcome? What do you think?

I can’t stick with the low run D.
What else is here? How about…OT Renaldo Laurain? I could use an upgrade at OT. A lot. He looks like a grower. 2.31 – WR Wade Olshansky? RT Henry Simmons? WILB Grayson Goodwin? SLB Ike Zabriskie is still on the board. Hmm…Goodwin. Underrated and looks like a grower. 3.31 - SS Branden Ogeary? I like him a lot. 4.31 – DE Stephen Slye? 5.31 – WR Chester Baca? Looks like a grower as well 6.31 – DE Tito Forster? Run stopping specialist 7.31 – DT Gabe Field? Rookie Lookie #1 1.31 – OT Renaldo Laurain, Ball State, 31/61 2.31 – ILB Grayson Goodwin, Nebraska, 24/66 3.31 – SS Branden Ogeary, California, 22/50 4.31 – DE Stephen Slye, Illinois State, 30/61 5.31 – WR Chester Baca, Oklahoma State, 26/43 6.31 – DE Tito Forster, Iowa, 18/51 7.31 – DT Gabe Field, Liberty, 25/48 There you are!

Extensions
I extend Curtis and I have 8 mill left. Anyone else? Nope, not enough money. Anyone with two years left? Nope Wanna see my rookies? This is my top pick in the draft, RT Laurain! As you can see he’s pretty saucy and sexy and keen and cool and nifty and noice. Very much so! He’s not weak anywhere and good with the strength. Welcome to my starting role dude! Here’s Goodwin! As you can see he’s very good at run d and then not great at the pass rush, he’s fine at coverage, and weaker at play d and hitting is his worst stat. He’s starting for me as a rookie. Good stuff rookies!

Rookie Investigation
QB – 51, 51, that’s it RB – 66, 51, 51 that’s it FB – 70, 61, that;s it TE – 4 in the 50s WR - Wade Olshansky wound up in the 59 pot spot. 71 for the best WR, and then none others save in the 50s. Baca is the 6th best WR in the draft at 49 C – 2 60s and 2 50s OG – 86, 2 70s, 3 60s, 4 50s. Very much a cool trend there OT – 85, 2 70s and ours is 2nd best, 2 60s, 1 50 DL – 1 80s, 1 70s, 9 60s, 8 50s. Deep. Skye is 5th best. LB – 71, 4 60s, 11 50s. We have the best LB in the draft DB – 2 70s, 4 60s, 6 50s. Another cool trend.

Note that some players have dropped like 9 year vet S Anthony at 46/46 and another similarly aged vet SILB Wagener at 52/52 who had a Def. Player of the Year for me in his rookie year but never equalized that again. I swap Goodwin and Wagener and move Wagener to WILB and start him less and Goodwin to SILB and start him more. TE Flanagan is down to 59/59 and now 2nd on my team despite his 4 All Pros he had a bad year last year in a good year for yards for my QB and passing game. RB Lincoln is down to 68/68 but he’s an 8th year vet who has NOT gone down like you’d expect, which is pretty good and nifty. He’s 29 years young with a ton of carries each season due to my smashmouth ways and yet, still hasn’t dropped off. He’s my most enduring RB I’ve had in this uber dynasty, although I wish he had a 2k s season.

Stats Offensive Passing QB Curtis – 365 of 527, 4215 yards, 35:7,107.0 rating He led in every stat save for yards where he was 2nd. Good year buddy! Rushing RB Lincoln – 316 for 1220 yards, 3.86 ypc, 11 scores 3rd in yards, 1st in scores Receiving Robinson was 2nd in yards and 1st in scores by 3. Cheshier was fine as a starter in his first year doing so but I’d like a little more yardage. Wilkerson had a down year with just 687 yards, and Engelberger was without an All Pro despite his SEVEN scores. Dude was robbed. Blocking As you can see Thornton led my team with pancakes and KRBs and we had a good year but this was a down year for my O Line otherwise. As you can see, rookie Laurain was 17 KRB and just 4 sacks allowed which is pretty good for an OT. Not a bad debut Special Teams K Ramirez – 32 of 35, Long of 50, 53 of 55 PAT Much better % on FG this year but the attempts were really down. K Polley – 84 for 48.8, 25 inside the 20 He led in league avg for punts

Defensive
Anthony led my team in tackles but just by two over the injured Hampton. McGregor’s 16 sacks were…2nd in the league to a guy with 17. He led the league in QBKD and was tied for 2nd in Swats. He led our team and the league with 6 FF. Cox just 7 sacks on the other end wasn’t what you want, and Ansell was 2nd on my team with 8 sacks. Hampton just 5.5. Rookie Goodwin wasn’t as good as we’d hoped just 3rd in tackles and no sacks generated. Pass Coverage As you can see, Theurer led my team with a solid 5 picks, 13 pasdef and 2 RET TD. Good year CB! Ogeary was 2nd in picks despite a nickelback role, Anthony and Conway are, like always, very consistent and fine, but rarely amazing. Not a whole lot of good coverage by my LBs.

Player of the Year – DE Henry McGregor – This is his 2nd DPLTY by the league and All Pro in his 5th year. He’s a very good player! Good stuff McGregor! Special Teams Player of the Year – P Heath Polley – He led the league in avg yards per punt which is very pertinent. Rookie of the Year – OT Renaldo Laurain – Dude had 17 KRB out of 36 KRO, not bad, and just 4 sacks allowed starting at the key LT spot where some great pass rushers come. The 2085 NFL Offseason
I score a 49 The Chiefs have finished their move to Anchorage and are changing their name to the Anglers which is alterative. Hall of Fame LB Gavin Uribe – 1.32 pick of Grizzlies in 2071, 3 Rings, 2 time DPOTY, 5 All Pros, Stud for me DE Xavier Russell – 1.20 pick of Grizzlies in 2068, 3 Rings, best DE in league during his run, 3 All Pros, We let him go after year 5 as he was too pricey. Retirements Charleston None Others WR Maurice Hudson – 2.30 pick in 2074 our penultimate year in Greenville, 2 rings, no league awards P Owen Ellison – Our stud P at Greenville, 4.28 pick in 2070, 3 rings, 2 All pros SLB Edgardo Andersen – 4.32 round pick in our final year in Greenville in 2075, 2 Rings, no league awards Staff Draft I reup a coach. Any changes? None I massage my ticket prices. Tags? I have these upcoming FAs coming up in the conversation WR Tito Robinson CB Larry Korosec We have just 400k in new cap cash to resign FAs. I cannot afford the 47 mill that Robinson would be. It sucks. You know what. I think I have a way out. I do it

The 2085 NFL FA Period #1
I interview folks to target at 1.32 including a stud OC, LBs and S I cut two players. DE Cox (freeing 20 mill) and SS Griffin (freeing 14 mill) I resign Robinson for 150 mill over 4 years which drops his cap hit by 26 I have 6 mill ready for new players I extend my P, K, and LS. I sing my RFAs and have 3.8 mill left In their final year of note Wagener, year 10, wants 33 mill over 2 years which would drop his cap hit to 21 mill this year. Cutting him would free up 27 mill Hampton, year 10, cap hit of 60 mill, wants 145 mill over 3 years and clear up 5 mill, but he’s still a 67/67 body. Freeing him would be 48 mill Sloan – Year 8, wants 66 mill over 3 years which drops his cap hit to just 28 mil from 37 Conway – year 8, wants 40 mill ove 3 years for a reduced cap hit of 3 mill Cheshier – Year 6, wants 120 mill over 4 years for a raise of 17 mill Rookies Stephenson – 67 mill, rise of 13 mill Witcher – 71 mill 4 years, rise of 11 mill I can cut Wagener and then sign my two O Line and then extend everyone else and free up cash for Cheshier. But let’s go to the draft and see what I have there first because if that stud OC falls to me at 1.32 then I don’t need to extend Stephenson for example. Maybe a stud OG will fall or a stud S/CB for Conway. You get the idea. I can also cut Flanagan and free up 27 mill against the cap as well. Larry Kocurek only wants 133 mill over 5 years with a cap hit around 20 mill this year. Do I want to cut Wagener or Flanagan and make him an offer? I need a starter CB right now through the draft. He is just 58/58 and that’s a lot for the guy so I won’t chase him. Week 2 – OT Cornyn signs with the Giants, Cote with Indy and Kocurek with Houston, Week 7 – Cox heads to Arizona Week 9 – Lindquist heads to Detroit Week 10 – Anthony heads to DC Let’s head to the draft!

The 2085 NFL Amateur Draft
Drafting at 1.1 are the Colts and I think they’ll take DT Kristopher Alcott a studly stud DT. And…They go OT Douglas Price instead and…Alcott heads off the board 1.4 to Houston. Does the C fall to us? Nope he falls 1.16 Our pick arrives… WLB Roger Bailey – Top player on the board, very underrated, okay bars OC Austin Winters – Underrated, good everywhere but pass block SLB Elias LaGrange – overrated SILB Reuben Edwards – very overrated MLB Terrell O'Donnell – hard to read CB Theodore Jeffries – Good bars, no interview, looks like he fell Who do you like? Here is Jeffries. He’s a big gamble but could be a big reward and I have a need at CB after letting go my guy. Here’s Winters. As you can see he is great at run block, str, and end, but not the best at pass blocking ,but he’s underrated. My current guy is a 68, will he be much better? Here’s O’Donnell and he is a big gamble as well, Hard to Read and no combine invite to help either, but he looks good and I could grab him all day long and cut Wagener and move him to WILB. Here’s the top player on the board, WLB Bailey who is very underrated. Note that he looks a lot better than Ansell so he could step in immediately into that role and start for me on the weak side. But..WLB is my least position of need of these four spots. Who do you like here? All four have reasons to do so!

I grab the top player Bailey. And then I hit auto draft and save which is next to load. I reboot the offseason and we’ll get you caught back up.
I make no changes in FA, I interview and head to the draft take two. No stud C in this year’s draft

The Draft Take 2
The Colts take QB Rico Buckley, the 2nd player in the draft Our pick arrives and who do I like? DT Dillon Houshmandzadeh – the BAP CB - Douglas Woodard – The top db on the board, okay bars, but horrible picks SLB George Sherman - Hard to Read, 2nd best player on the board Here are the top three Hello stud! The BAP looks pretty good for way back at 1.32, right? Right! Here’s the top DB on the board and the 5th best overall player, but he’s a gamble… Here’s the one I interviewed, Sherman. Since he is hard to read, which one do you like? All are gambles… Or do I go somewhere else that's less of a gamble?

I’m leaning towards Sherman. He seems the best risk of the lot since I know more about his bars.
2.32 – WR Horace Mathai? DT K.C. Yaussy? I go DT to see if I found my Sloan replacement. 3.32 – SS Richard Arton? He seems like a grower. 4.32 – LT Terrell Bunyan? Also looks like a grower 5.32 – WR Lewis Harkless was just taken. Who do I like instead.? Cb Antoine Waddle who has a very high INT score. 6.32 - SLB Dashawn Hassler? 7.32 – Hmmm… C Robert Gardinaer Rookie Lookie #1 1.32 – SLB George Sherman, Kansas State, 31/73 2.32 – DT K.C. Yaussey, Central Florida, 42/64 3.32 - SS Richard Arton, Buffalo, 29/42 4.32 – LT Terrell Bunyan, Baylor, 22/51 5.32 - CB Antoine Waddle, Akron, 22/36 6.32 – SLB Dashawn Hassler, Arizona, 26/50 7.32 – C Robert Gardinaer, Northwestern, 19/53 Augusta is moving to Knoxville

Stats
Offensive Passing QB Curtis – 382 of 587, 4291 yards, 32:10, 97 rating He led in yards, was 2nd in TDs, and was 2nd in rating. Rushing RB Lincoln – 14 starts, 235 of 1264, 8 scores He was 3rd in rushing and 5th in scores. He was still solid despite missing a pair of scores Receiving Wilkerson led the league in yards by almost 250. Nice! His 13 TDs led by 2. He had a great year and he is my #2 WR. Is the 6th year vet having a career renaissance? Robinson was a down year but he was my #1 guy. You can see that Robinson gets better ypc. A down year for Cheshier in yards although he got a ton of scores with 7. Blocking This might be my best year for my O Line with three at 30+ KRB and lots of pancakes and low sacks allowed. Rookie Bunyan was with 16 KRB and just 5 sacks allowed at the LT spot. Special Teams K Ramirez – 32 of 35, Long of 57, 45 of 48 PAT Another fine year for my Kicker! P Polley – 92 for 49.2 avg, 46 in 20 Great year! WR Martin, 1 KR RET TD Martin led my team with 19 special teams tackles

Defensive
Hampton led my team in tackles with quite a few and he also notched me a solid 6 sacks. Leading my team in sacks with just 9 is McGregor with a poor year and DE Slye was with 8 spelling longtime starter Cox. Rookie Sherman was with 7 sacks and Yaussy just had 3.5 and we’ll need more from the guy. Pass Coverage Harmon and Ogeary each grabbed me 5 picks which is great, but this was a bad year for pasdef and Hampton was my only player with double digit pasdef. Good first years starting for my top two pick makers though at CB and SS respectively.

The 2086 NFL Offseason
I score a 49 I have a big retirement and a small one Retirements WLB Ansell after not starting last year retired after a small number of years. 4.32 pick for the Miners back in 2080. QB Efrain Curtis – 6.28 pick by the Grizzlies in 2072 that I signed with me when I came to the Miners. 14 years in the league. 5 Rings, 3 as a starter. 3 League MVPs, loads of other awards We are handing the reigns over to 50/67 Norman Moya a 5th year vet. Other Retirements of Note TE Jason Pearson, 3.28 pick by Grizzlies in 2074, 2 Rings, 1 All Pro CB JJ Mapes, 2.32 pick In 2073 by Grizzlies, 2 Rings, no league awards An era has ended for the Miners. Hall of Fame QB Carson Maumau – Stud for Greenville, 1.2 pick 2065, 4 Rings, 4 time League MVP tons of other awards Staff Draft I retain my AC, and then… no other changes Tag Time Here are my UFAs with a value that could warrant the tag WR Cody Martin – stud on special teams and RET, would be to pricey That’s it. No tag needed. I have tons of cap room with the retirement of Curtis.

The 2086 NFL FA Period #1
I look at my draft and I need a better CB and FS so I spend my time there. I sign my RFAs and I have 60 mill in cash available. Moya’s cap hit is just 4.45 mill and I have him signed for another years. I sign him to a 4 year 50 mill deal that increases his cap hit this year to 10 mill but that will make him cheaper later. Vets in Final Year of their Deal TE Flanagan, 10th year, 54/54 wants 41 mill over 3 years and drops cap hit to 19 mill from 36. I do so I like him as my #2. RB Lincoln, 10th year, 59/59, wants 57 mill over 2 years and I hold off until post preseason to see if his numbers drop FB Engelberger – 7tth year 71/71, wants 9 mill for 2 years and I do so DE McGregor – 73/73, 7th year vet, wants 138 mill over 4 years which drops cap hit by 10 mill, I so do Rookies CB Shawn Theurer -Wants 105 mill over 4 years, I do so I extend SILB Goodwin by a year and keep his cap hit low I extend 2 years left RT Laurain to 76 mill over 4 years I hold off on DE Slye until post draft What does WR Martin want to resign with us? How about Elsea? I make a 35 mill 3 year offer for Martin I make a 7.6 mill 2 year offer for Elsea Week 3 – NT Sloan heads to LV Week 7 – Both WRs rejoin us! See you at the draft!
