I'd have to defer to Dr. Sak but it doesnt matter that he wasnt on the LOS as much as he has to be behind someone who is.

Its the reason you can see the rare illegal formation call on an OL. The "offline" player has to be "behind" the online player even if both are off the LOS

I feel Wisconsin takes out some frustration on Iowa today.

Being undefeated and all you hear about all week is how weak your schedule has been and how you havent played anyone. What better time to make a statement than destroy the team the just upset Ohio State.

Biggest game for Miami in a long, long time. I think the team is probably too young and inconsistent to win this one, but I hope I'm wrong.

I'm sure it's been said before but I HATE the late Friday night Pac 10 games. Stanford - Washington was a huge game that I missed almost entirely. It should have been a prime time game on a Saturday and these Friday night games should be more like Oregon State - Arizona.

La-Lafayette shows how not to line up for a fake punt against Ole Miss.
7 in the backfield is a no-no. (it was successful before being called back)

Rutgers has now had the lead against State Penn longer today than they had trailed all year long to this point.

If Ohio State came out against Iowa as they have against MSU, they wouldn’t be on the outside looking in for the playoffs.

AR is tied 7-7 with LSU at the half. Pleasantly surprised. We did get our starting QB back this week.

Offensive shootout in South Carolina between the Gators and Gamecocks. As shocking as that may sound.

Ohio State has a very high ceiling but also a very low floor(from a top 15 team perspective) from game to game. Signs of a young team with tons of talent.

Today kinda has to be the end of Mike Riley at Nebraska, doesn't it?

I'd have to think Riley was toast well before today. I don't know if Moos is hoping to give Riley the chance to "resign" at the end of the season or not, but I can't imagine he would have survived after this season with 5 losses. Today is just salt in the wound.

The problem for Moos is that the guy everyone wants (Scott Frost) is almost certainly going to pick Florida instead if offered.

How does Iowa St have so many guys who can play QB? Zeb Noland is now throwing it all over the place.

Va Tech and Ga Tech trying their best to out choke each other.

An upper level JV high school quarterback could likely put up 300+ yards in a B12 game.

And from the lower divisions of the NCAA, congratulations to Washington & Lee, the 2017 ODAC champions.

Two of my son's classmates are playing regularly now, including the (job-sharing) QB. Now we await the bracket reveal tomorrow night, to see if maybe just maybe they end up playing R1 somewhere close to here. (basically one chance of that)

Boom.

Iowa opens up with back to back pick sixes in consecutive weeks on opponents first drive.. but this time...

17-7 Badgers, despite 3-0 in the turnover battle.

While Auburn pummels Georgia, and Iowa-Wisconsin set football back 100 years, Wake Forest and Syracuse are putting on a great shootout.

The last time I saw a choke job this bad might have starred Tony Curtis.

Sort of. Defense was taken more seriously in the past. Thank god some teams still play it. Ill never understand why people think shitty defense equals great football. With that said Wake Forest has played impressive defense in the 2nd half and are running away with it now.

Wondering if we can have a season where all the playoff teams have 1 loss going in.

Wisconsin is being Wisconsin- successful football. Setting football back 100 years, ffs. Iowa alone is doing that.

On Wisconsin, sorry Tarcone. Be glad you played rugby.

Doable, would require several pieces to fall into place AND the avoidance of a lesser-regarded unbeaten AND no 2-loss contender.

Lemme see ... Bama over AU and then UGA over Bama
Notre Dame wins out
Clemson wins out (and eliminates Miami in the process)
Oklahoma or TCU winner wins out
Wisconsin loses somewhere

That could do it, right?

Should do it.

With bama in despite a loss at this point their concentration could slip up in a game like tonight who knows.

Wisconsin & Miami are the two undefeated's still trying to play in and still very motivated.

Keep talking, bro.

Well tarcone, I thought it would be closer than that. How in the hell was this the same team that put up 55 against OSU?

I've got a lot of confidence in Wisconsin's D and running game. Alex Hornibrook, not so much.

Defense 21, Offense 17 at the end of the 3rd between the Itty Bitty Ten teams. Iowa - Wisconsin was bad HS football.

Combined 5-26 on 3rd downs. Combined 19-42, 176 yards, 4 INT passing. Combined 7 turnovers.

It's 2017 and that dreck was on network TV.

Good defenses and average offenses. A thing teams from ACC and B12 could learn from. I don't need to watch football for 4.5 hours like the ISU/OSU game. That shit was dreadful.

You can't claim that was just good defensive football and defend the ineptitude of the offenses in this game without looking at the ACC and Big 12 as good offenses and average defenses. It goes both ways.

It's not average defenses though. It's awful defenses.

The awful offense of Iowa beat Iowa State this season. That should tell you something

Despite turning it over 4 times they still gained 400 yards on offense...by basically just running the ball and mixing in pick sxes.

Sadly, they are more consistent than the professionals making millions. You get a solid effort out of the college athletes while you can flip a coin if a professional athlete gives a shit about a certain game.
