The only way Biden can come close to saving this (assuming it doesn't come out as a false flag or something) is to get a statement out ASAP denouncing and flying AF One to whatever hospital Trump is at and denouncing it standing next to Trump.

I would say it is a very strong possibility this is a ghost gun, as it is about the only way you could have gotten a weapon through the security protocol. They do sound similar to a regular gun though, depending on the caliber.

Butler county district attorney Richard Goldinger tells me Trump was grazed by gunfire but is safe. An audience member was killed and the shooter is dead. Another person is in serious condition, the prosecutor said.

Okay, I can come up with a "legitimate" (barely) firearm combo that could approximately make that sound -- suppressed subsonic rounds are not far from that -- though still bassier/deeper than what I hear -- throw in distance and sound quality, it's possible

Thing is though, that'd sure be a hella weird choice to make. Virtually no stopping power, at distance, and in a crowd where just slipping away unnoticed doesn't seem likely.

It also could be that they had the mics dialed in to record voice, causing the supersonic sounds to be muffled, because if there was return fire, it had a similar sound, and those wouldn't be subsonic.
