Congrats, Giants and fans. Assholes.

I really appreciate the Giants sweeping the Tigers. We only had to endure Joe Buck for 4 games....whew!

Woohoo!

I spent the entire day (and night) Saturday in San Francisco for a friends bachelor party. I didn't go to sleep at all Saturday night, which meant I was operating for nearly 48 consecutive hours without sleep by the time game 4 started last night.

It was great to see Posey finally do something huge with his bat during the WS. I was afraid he was going to finish out the series similar to how Pat Burrell did the 2010 series...practically zero contribution. Cain didn't bring his A game yesterday either, or his B game for that matter. From the 4th inning thru the 7th, he was lobbing grapefruits over the plate to almost every single Tigers hitter, including all of the big boppers. I'm honestly surprised the Tigers weren't teeing off on him all game long. Whew!

I couldn't be happier about the Giants this season. I was a big Freddy Sanchez fan, but if anyone were going to replace him, I would want it to be Marco Scutaro. I'm also an unabashed Zito supporter, and to see him erase a half-dozen years of shite by almost single-handedly propelling this team into the Series...it's almost like poetry.

Great game last night, and many thanks to all the classy Detroit Tigers fans here and in San Francisco this weekend. You guys never talked smack in bad taste, nor did you blame bad bounces or take away credit from the Giants. Congrats on your great season, and I will gladly meet you guys back here next year for a rematch.

Cheers!

Yes, you can give a high five to a giant shaving cream bottle while having a panda chainsaw the head off of a tiger!

Least watched World Series ever.

Average viewers just 12.7 million, down 23% from last year, worse than the previous low of 13.6 million for the Phillies-Rays in 2008.

Went grocery shopping today and saw last week's SI issue up with Cabrera on the cover proclaiming to fear his awesomeness. Kind of sucks to see your team bounced before the weekly sports mag can be replaced.

Would have helped if it was more than 4 games

I spent all of yesterday in SF for the Giants parade. It was an incredible experience in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, just like 2010.

In 2010 the players went by on slow-moving cable cars. This year the players were in the back of fast-moving regular cars, which was disappointing to anyone who wasn't in the very first row. I'd say 80% of the 1 Million people at the parade didn't see a single player because of this rather odd decision. Still, the experience and buzz around the city was incredible. The smell of prop 19 was in the air, and it was lovely. After the parade was over, my Wife and I walked down the middle of Market street all the way to the bay with a half-million other Giants fans.

For those of you that are friends with me on Facebook, I posted a video of the crowd singing along to "Lights" just before the parade started up.
