Am I the only who thinks there's a lot of people not putting a lot of thought into this lynch? It feels like a lot of "whelp a landslide, guess I vote for the winner."

I was SUPPOSED to be at the hockey game with my girlfreind tonight and I'll be damned if that didn't just go to shit on me in a hurry.
So I'm here too. the votes are too one way, I hate runaway votes. |

Final vote count:
nfg22 - 14 - Chief Rum (1097), saldana (1101), oliegirl (1156), jeheinz72 (1168), MikeVic (1173), Pumpy Tudors (1175), Barkeep49 (1184), bsak16 (1226), mauboy1 (1228), Mr. Wednesday (1255), SnDvls (1261), RendeR (1264), ntndeacon (1291), Dodgerchick (1294) Chief Rum - 2 - st.cronin (1263), nfg22 (1267) Dodgerchick - 1 - The Jackal (1113) st.cronin - 1 - claphamsa (1130) "Mr. Felix! Mr. Felix!", "Sir, can I ask..", "Over here!" The media swarmed Mr. Felix as he entered the hotel lobby. He looked horrible. Every newspaper in Fortune had a headline like DIVINATION NATION! RE-INFESTED!!! His publicity stops for his book were cancelling left and right, he had parents threatening lawsuits and pulling their kids (if they could get to the school that is, however, the wolves seem to have effectively sealed off the building magically). Worst of all, he had no idea what was going on at all. Mr. Edward was not answering the phone. Meanwhile at the school, there is a clear consensus that nfg22 has revealed himself via some duplicitous comments. There is no doubt as he is led to the rope that this time the students have finally found their wolf. Except for him not changing, that is. But that was after he was already dead. NFG22, A STUDENT, HAS BEEN LYNCHED. NIGHT 3 IS UNDERWAY, ORDERS ARE DUE BY 1AM EST THURSDAY.

I haven't learned a damn thing from my scans except two were right and one was wrong. That only tells me that I'm neither the teacher's pet nor the class clown. I'll scan Chief Rum, but I don't see myself getting any real information out of it. Sorry, nfg. ![]()

I don't really know why, but I'm thinking st.cronin, Chief Rum, and clap are three candidates in my eyes. Or they could all be villagers. I really don't know.

Somehow I saw this result coming, but we really didn't have a lot of other options. As people used to tell me, its easier to take the bad kill to get information and clear confusion out of the way than it is to really shoot blindly at the rest of the field.
Sorry man, better luck next game! Ok, so I scanned DC last night whose on my list for tonight? If I don't hear from anyone I'll put in orders to scan someone with very few scans done at this point. Seems like CR has plenty of people scanning him already. |

I hope someone has updated stats tomorrow, since I don't really know anymore. For clap, it's really only the weak argument that I scanned him as wolf. But I could be a low accuracy guy, so I don't know. I know I had other suspicions about him, but I'm pretty sure they were tied to NFG... who is now revealed to be a villager. And for cronin, I really don't have anything. Maybe it's the people I'm not thinking of that are the wolves. Playing villagers against each other. |

I voted again the second day because I did not feel strongly about Lathum being a wolf (and seems I was right), and I still saw the merit of a no lynch being that we all have at least some seeing ability. The more scans, the better, because even though a lot of them are inaccurate, the history of it should help us in the endgame.

For day 2, they were arguing that there was no material difference from day 1. I don't think that makes them a wolf, only misguided. (Wolves want villager lynches because it gets them to the victory condition much more quickly.)

As for who I suspect at this point - I have a few ideas, but I'd like to see what happens tonight. DC isn't cleared yet in my mind, but I'm starting to think she probably isn't a wolf.

Another night. Another bout of tossing and turning. After what seems like weeks you fall into a fitful sleep. Until the scream. Always the scream in the distance. You run out with the others from your dorms into the meeting area.
There is another scream. You look up at the meeting room chandelier. And saldana hanging from it, his neck slashed nearly in two, the end of the chandelier arm serving as a meat hook. Things are not looking good. SALDANA, A STUDENT, HAS BEEN KILLED. DAY 4 IS UNDERWAY. DEADLINE IS 9PM EST THURSDAY. Individual PM's will be sent now.

Well, pretty surprised how that went. I fully expected to be lynched. I'm sorry to see nfg22 lynched, but I had to vote for him on self-preservation. I had no idea it would roll up on him like that. I actually wish more people had voted for me and made it interesting. We learn nothing about conventional wolf evidence (voting history) in runaways, and my gut said nfg was a student from the first night we were gabbing back and forth about stats.
I again encourage people to scan me more, if they need to, but hopefully after that, be done with it. Either you're satisfied I'm a strudent or you lynch me for the data points. I would rather that than to continue to be strung along. I scanned Render, as I wasn't sure he had a lot of post-N0 scans, and he came up a student.

I worry that we may put a little too much into the whole scanning thing at the expense of conventional WW play. We can absolutely continue to let it inform us, but I think it's time to move beyond lynching someone just because they've been scanned a lot.

So Mr. W who then, using more traditional WW methods, do you see as the biggest threat today?

I am sympathetic to the idea that we need to be using more traditional WW methods of finding the wolves. I'd ask the same question of you that I asked of Mr. W: who do you see as a threat today? That said I'd also ask that you reveal your scan anyway. I think the collective sharing of info now is going to really benefit the villagers during the end game. |
