Overtake Autumn

Chief I have to go to bed soon.

The time for lynching has come, and for once, you all seem certain of what you must do. Autumn's shocking murder of britrock the Cultist have given you confidence that he has the right of it. And he says to kill EagleFan.

As the lightning bugs begin to pop up in the surrounding bog, you all reach for EagleFan, who seems resigned to his fate.

You start to pull him toward the gator pool when a shout rises from the edge crowd.

"Wait!" MrBug708 strides forward. "You are killing the wrong man! Do not do this!"

You all feel swayed by MrBug708's persuasive argument.

One villager asks, "Who do you believe we should lynch then?"

MrBug708 looks around at the gathered villagers, looking carefully and directly at all. EagleFan, held between two villagers, looks on with a glimmer of hope.

"I believe you should lynch..." MrBug708 started, with a dramatic pause...

"...Eagle Fan!!"

The village is quiet. You can hear a pin drop.

One of the villagers stepped forward.

"Umm, well, we were already gonna do that," he said.

"Oh!" MrBug708 said. "Oh, very good then. Carry on."

The mob started up again, marching to gator pool.

The villagers on each of EagleFan's arms tensed at the edge, preparing to throw him in, as the well fed gators waited with hungry looks.

All of a sudden, EagleFan drops to the ground, suing his full body weight to break their hold on his arms. He sweeps the leg of one of his captors, and the villager falls into the gator pit with a cry. It was Narcizo!!

Narcizo's cries of pain echo throughout the swamp (was that a thank you??), as EagleFan leaps to his feet to make a run for the wilderness. But the village is ready for him. Autumn steps in his way and before EagleFan can react, Autumn's knife is hilt deep in his chest.

EagleFan stumbles to his knees, blood gurgling from his mouth. He has a quizzicle smile on his face.

"I failed," he coughed out. "My partner won't."

He keels over on his side, shudders and dies.

EAGLEFAN was the Brutal Wolf!! He was a Hunter with no Role!

NARCIZO was a Duke and Villager with no roles.

MRBUG708 is a Duke, and his Duke Lynching has been used up.

Although you are all disturbed at the loss of Narcizo, you can't help but feel that the end is not only near, but that this will all end for the benefit of the whole village.

You are content to go to bed tonight knowing that you can root out the last of the evil tomorrow. The nightmare will finally end.

You all wake up sleepily to the sounds of shouting. What is that?

You stumble out into the village square and see shadows and forms running off to the edge of town. A blast of light and heat emanates from there and you smell smoke.

You run with the others, and prepare for the worst.

You reach the shack and see that it is completely engulfed in a blaze of fire! Villagers are quickly grabbing buckets of water and trying to get it under control.

Soon, the fire is down to a manageable level. But the shack is gone. And so is whomever was inside it.

"My God," croaked one villager. "This was Autumn's home."

AUTUMN has been Night Killed by the Wolves. He was a Hunter with no role, and he was the Village's Seer!

The DUKES have won the minor win condition, as only Dukes remain alive.

DAY SIX has begun, and the deadline is 4 p.m. EST/1 p.m. PDT Tuesday.

Aww, bloody hell!!" yells cheekimonk. "This has got to stop!"

He looks wildly around at the gathered village.

"One of you is the oil profiteer, and damnit, I am going to kill you right now! he screams.

He pulls out a gun he had taken from a Hunter and he locked in the Ammo Clip he had.

He aims at the villagers, as they all back away in fear. He points in turn at everyone.

Finally, he settles on MrBug708.

"It's you," he growls. "It has to be you!"

"No!" MrBug708 says panicky. "It's not! You're wrong!"

He sees the crazy look in cheekimonk's eyes and he takes off running.

But he can't escape. cheekimonk is too close. He fires and MrBug708 collapses to the ground.

The village runs yp to MrBug's prone body, as cheekimonk smiles with grimn satisfaction at a job well done.

As the villagers reach MrBug, the shot man groans and turns over, shocking everyone. He rises to a sitting position and tears open his shirt, revealing the Bullet Proof Vest underneath.

MrBug was saved by the Bullet Proof Vest!!

The Bullet Proof Vest and the Ammo Clip have both been used and are no longer in the game.

The village is tired of waiting. They have their man and they're looking to lynch him.

MrBug708, Shoveler and cheekimonk gather around Grover and prepare to throw him to the gators.

Just before they reach him, he reaches from behind him and brings out a Bullhorn!

He starts screaming into it, the sound of his voice overriding all other sound and thought.

The three lynchers-to-be stop, confused.

Grover says, "No, I will be the one to name the lynch today!"

The villagers pause uncertain what to do.

"The l-l-lynch-nch-nch... w-w-will-l b-b-b-be... umm... M-m-m-m-m ist-st-st...", Grover stammers. He swallows and tries again. He is again unintelligible.

The malaise on the other three has faded away and they look at each other. With a nod as one, they turn back to Grover.

They grab Grover and drag him to the gator pool. The three of them hold him down at the edge of the pool, ignoring his pleas for mercy and proclaimed innocence.

A great big reptile rises from the water, his maw open wide!

SNAP! The gator's jaws slam down around Grover's head. There is a sickening crunch and a rip and tear as the gator swallows Grover's head. The villagers roll Grover's headless corpse, spurting blood, into the swamp water.

GROVER was a Duke and Stuttering Sam! He was the FINAL Oil Profiteer!

THE VILLAGE WINS!!!

This ended up being one of the craziest games I have ever run!!

No, if he was not Stuttering Sam, MrBug would have been lynched, and then he would have killed you with his nightkill. That would have dropped it to 1-1 with him and cheeki and the wolves would have won.

For the longest time we thought font was the cultist. Almost right after the game starts she lists 2 of the three of us in a post, figured that was a signal to us.

Then the MartinD save of her had us looking at MartinD as the seer. Go figure, it was just bad luck for us that it was random chance.

Did you also think he was the seer bug? Was that the reason for your protect order?

Thought Autumn was the cultist after font didn't end up as the cultist.

Autumn was my brutal order the first couple days then it switched to Narc. Today I thought for certain Narc was the BG and was just trying to lure Grover into revealing. Thought of trying to go for a big reward taking Narc out with the brutal and Autumn with NK late today. That way there wouldn't be a game of chicken with the bodyguard that could drag things out.

I had backed myself into a position where I couldn't fake reveal anything. Couldn't say seer or BG because of my attack on MartinD.

Was nice that Shoveler gave me the camo. We had 4 items by the end, camo, bullhorn, mirror and site. Wish I had the clip.

Shoveler, what made you go after timmae? We were hoping that he would get scanned and cleared (almost was) and then you dropped a bomb on us.


Had major trouble trying to post because of the deadline. Was afraid that was going to out me; with little activity in the evening it was hard to get myself to post at night.


Overall it was a really fun game. Thanks for the game Chief!!!
