i don't like new uniforms, i totally love retro unis, throwback unis. anything from the 80's and early 90's. just a better time for sports, none of this "tune into ESPN this Thursday for 'The Decision', at 9pm Eastern" crap. |

I ordered the SC2 Collector's Edition. It will arrive at my house while I am away on vacation.
I picked up Dragon's Quest IX today to play while on vacation. I'll likely open it later tonight.

Limbo is freaking awesome...
Me and my 8 year old daughter just played it for about 2 1/2 hours.. really cool game. I'm not afraid to admit she's solved some puzzles before I could. |

Agreed, there are only a handful of teams that have better uniforms now than they did in the past.

i can't think of any. for example i wish the Celtics would go back to their old black and white leprechaun logo instead of the color one they have now.

Loving MLB The Show by the way.
In my first game I lost in the 9th due to a squeeze play by the AI. Frigging awesome. I just had a game where I was losing 5-4 in the 9th inning. With 2 outs I got a base hit from the ageless Omar Vizquel. All of my other pinch-hitters had been used, so I bring in Bill Hall. Hall hits a two run jack just over the wall in right and we win 6-4. Even better, that's his second pinch-hit HR of the spring. Next game I get two two-run HR's from Longoria, a two-run HR and a solo HR (450ft) from Adrian Gonzalez, and a pinch-hit 2-run HR from Jim Thome and go on to win 12-7.

Wow... Limbo was excellent.
The last puzzle really had me for a bit, but I finished it. Quite an ending too... I hope a Limbo 2 is in the works. Probably a tad short, but for me it was worth the $15. |

Probably not a shock to anyone, but NBA Jam is coming to all consoles, not just the Wii.
ESRB outs NBA Jam on Xbox 360 and PS3 | Joystiq Still not a purchase for me. Need more new stuff and less rehashes. |

For me... Limbo is absolutely one of the best video games I have enjoyed playing. I think I got lucky on the last puzzle, but I did need help on a few others. What a great concept, from something so simplistic, to something so utterly mind-bending. I've already got my younger son playing it. GREAT for some creative puzzle solving skills... Yes, it was short, but I do feel I got my $15 worth! |

Just finished Mass Effect 2. Don't think I've ever been tempted to replay a game so quickly. I wanna be a bad-ass this time around and just left-click every time I'm given the option.

San Andreas remains to this day the only modern(GTA 3+) GTA that I hold any kind of regard for. I feel that not only was it the only GTA worth a damn, but one of the best games I have ever played. Would be excited to return to San Andreas.

I never bothered to finish GTA 4. Not that I didn't think it was amazing - it was, a major leap (at least visually) from the previous generation. But I think I was burning out on GTA. And that's one of the reasons I loved Red Dead so much - similar type of game, but an entirely different setting, and one I really enjoyed exploring.
I wonder now if I'll enjoy going back to GTA, or if I've been spoiled for good. I did enjoy San Andreas and either finished it or came damn close - I can't remember for sure... |

I didn't get in to GTA until the sale on Steam last month. I love GTA4 simply due to the incredible voice acting. The animation doesn't excel to the same degree, but the VOs are exceptional in the cut scenes.

All this GTA and Limbo talk and not a peep about StarCraft II?
Isn't this supposed to be like one of the biggest video game releases in years?

I am a financially irresponsible whore so I bought the SC2 Collectors pack. Easily best Collectors edition I've seen, still not anywhere near worth the price tag.
That said, it comes with 2 trial tickets. I'll send a key for 7 hours/14 day trial to the first couple of PMs I get. |

I've read very positive things from people in the beta. I haven't played it yet, but poking around the menu system its clear they spent a lot of time fleshing out the multiplayer aspect and seems quite impressive how streamlined everything is.
I sucked really bad at SC1 multi, I'm hoping either I'll be slightly better this go around or Blizzard was able to put a system in that caters to my suckiness(easier to match up with other sucky players). |

I'm not a huge starcraft fan, or a blizzard fan for that matter, but this game is pretty damn good. If you're a starcraft fan or even a RTS fan I'd say it's a must buy. Great story, typical starcraft gameplay, along with blizzard production values. |

Yeah, it's must for anyone who remotely enjoyed the original. Didn't change a whole hell of a lot, just tweak and modernized. Which is what I wanted, Warcraft 3 was horrible(in my opinion).
Haven't dug into the multiplayer aspect yet, not sure when I will, but Blizzard definitely intends this to be a huge part of the game. They spent a lot of time fleshing out ladders, match making, friends and all the rest. Made it all easily accessibly through the in game interface. There's a lot of information that's easy to sort through. Last edited by jeff061 : 07-27-2010 at 10:22 PM. |

I'm having fun with SC2, just a little frustrating that some of the same small issues I had with the first one are still there. Like SCVs getting stuck behind things they just built with no way out. I think every Age of Empires didn't have that problem, and those games are 10 years old.
Anyway, its still fun.

The reason for that, believe it or not, is that Activision/Blizzard is possibly the only video game company smug enough to actually have a major media review embargo. And not the type that says you can't post a review until such and such a date, the kind that says we aren't giving you a review copy until the game is at retail and available for purchase. IGN had an article about it the other day.

Does anyone have an old copy of Batman: Arkham Asylum for the PS3 they'd be willing to sell me? I am looking to pick it up on the cheap since I've never played it before.

You see that happen periodically with companies, but it's usually specific titles rather than across an entire library. I think that's true even of Activision Blizzard. I bet, for example, that the upcoming Guitar Hero title has pre-release reviews. Wouldn't shock me if Halo: Reach did not. And so on. |
