Avril Lavigne has no aereola. Not sure what I think about that. And I most certainly do not wish to discuss it.

Same here. The only thing that came to my mind was Friday the 14th.

My wife informed me Sunday after looking at the Best Buy ads that were we going out that afternoon to get a new 32" LED TV for the bedroom. Can't complain..

Yes, I did get my daughter a pony. Granted, it was a My Little Pony, but it will have to do.

Should've gone the giant stuffed pony route. Would look like less of a cop-out to the daughter than a My Little Pony.

My college buddies and I have been playing Spades together since the beginning of our freshman year (9 years). Tonight, me and my roommate played our other two roommates and we ran a Boston -- bidding that you will win all 13 books and actually winning all 13 books. It was the first time any of us had pulled it off in probably a thousand games (we didn't go to many classes freshman year) and I'm way too excited about it.

I think she should start dating John Daly. If she could somehow get their kids to start reffering to Daly as "Daddy" or something similar, I'm pretty sure Tiger's head would explode.

So our 6 year old broke her collar bone yesterday falling off playground equipment at school. I've never seen one of my kids in that kind of pain before, it was terrible. Soccer was supposed to start yesterday, and she was asked to try out for a U8 softball team, but both of those are on the shelf for at least a month. She had to sleep sitting up on the couch because it hurt to lay down. Poor girl.

I'm officially declaring the end of summer in Boise, right this second. We hit 104 degrees today, but some T-storms tonight will cool things off, and that's it - forecasts in the 70s indefinitely after that.

I will celebrate the arrival of the year's greatest season with beer.

Online conversation tonight (via MMO) w/ someone who turned out to be 15:

Him: "Wow, just found out that my grandparents met when my grandmother hit my grandfather while driving"

Me: "Hah, kinda like Back to the Future, huh? Well, minus the whole peeping tom thing I assume"

Him: "what's back to the future?"

*sighs*

Had my daughter's 3rd birthday party today. (only had a few people over). I had 6 extra sirloin burgers left over and 1 hot dog. My wife's brother took it upon himself to take all of them except 1 burger. Said nothing, just opened the fridge, took the burgers and walked out.

Dude.. seriously... what the fuck?

Ever have a tiny handful of posters on a message board (maybe 2 or 3 people) who, as soon as you see they've written a message, you completely dismiss the message as utter crap and want to instantly disagree with whatever they've said?

I hate everything.

I just realized that I've looking at 21-28 hours of volunteer time for my son's school in the 7 days between last Friday night & this coming Friday night. And that I'm not even scratching the surface of what needs to be done.

Kind of frustrating when you're the only person trying to help row the boat against the tide (the other adult involved is too busy bailing the water to row)

I remember seeing a preview for a tv show about Hurricane Katrina. I believe it was raw footage from people that stayed behind and shows footage from beginning to end. I thought it was on Natgeo that I saw the preview but after looking at their site I can not find anything.

Anybody?

Weather Channel maybe? I caught a brief glimpse of them doing some sort of special today. Although I didn't see anything like what you're describing, maybe it was on there elsewhere?
