I am changing my vote to avoid any last minute shenanigans, since DT has admitted his role.
I would urge all others to strongly consider Marathoner tomorrow, however. I will be voting for him again. Unvote Marathoner Vote DaddyTorgo |

I'm going to assume DT's post about Blade is BS, but if true that's a pretty wicked way of getting revenge on the guy who got you lynched.

Why Anxiety? I thought we'd grown much less enamored of him since the original attempt to get him judge.

DT is the heir. He's claiming he can make someone new the heir. Dying mafioso are not known for being founts of truthful information. As a reminder in Tombstone, the head cowboy passed down in a predetermined order suggesting that DT can't control who becomes the new don. Of course this isn't Tombstone so perhaps the mechanic is different.

Deadline.
Just a note, I'm going to post the daily update, and you likely will see a new news paper in a few minutes, but then I need to drive home from the hospital for an hour or so to change, shower and stuff. I'll process day 4 actions that I receive when I return. |

Big City Herald
Edition 16 Who's John Doe? Or I guess the question everyone is asking now is who is the new mafia boss? In an astonishing discovery, the heir to the mafia family revealed himself right in the middle of town square this afternoon. I expect he did not receive the warm welcome that he expected as he was quickly pelted with rocks, bottles and Rosie O'Donnell. Now everyone is asking.. who did he leave his inheritence with... Judge badly beaten Earlier today we reported the story of a man badly beaten behind the courthouse. We have since learned the identity of the man is none other than our own judge Hoops. (Editorial note, I can shorten his name and he'll like it.) Doctors state that the attacks were not life threatening, but he'll not be out figureskating any time soon. Right now he is in stable condition in the hospital. Horrific Kidnapper video released In horrific news, we received earlier today at the Big City Herald a video tape sent anonymously from the apparent kidnapper of our very own Tyrith. We won't go into great details, but on the tape it shows him sitting in a damp, dark basement pleading for his life. He cried out that he worked for the police department, and could help them perhaps but his pleas were met with a single gun shot into his chest. Its apparent that it was his body found by the river earlier this afternoon. Last edited by Alan T : 03-01-2007 at 09:13 PM. |

I could be on the hitlist, so I will quickly reveal a bit more.
I lied about being able to check trash every other day. I can check it every day. I have found the following thus far: Day 1 -- hoopsguy : found UFO magazines and empty prescription pill bottles Day 2 -- Marathoner : found muscle magazines, a BP Vest brochure, and old gloves Day 3 -- Blade6119 : found a coin purse with $100 and a brochure that said, "Kiss beginis with a K" |

Yes, I can talk again. Thanks to the doctor who saved my life. Ffor the most part my experiences with the medical community have not been stellar, but I owe you one.
I'm going to continue to recuperate, but should be available to join in the discussion more fully in an hour or so. |

Ok now that DT is confrimed good I think my vote for this day is easy.
Bsak clearly tried to spread disinformation and misinformation. There could only be one purpose: attempting to save DT, much as DT attempted to save cronin. I love it when the bad guys make this so easy. Vote bsak |

I am only going to say this one more time, you can twist it all you want but if you read my reasoning for voting the way I did you'll see. I stuck with Marathoner because of what Swaggs found. There is a pretty good certainty that those gloves are the Fingerprintless gloves that were on the market on the underground. Add to that the muscle magazines and a BP Vest brochure you and can see where I deducted that he is a hired hand of the mob. But go ahead barkeep, keep twisting the things I said but never mention the facts about why I voted the way I did.

No hostility. Don't try to start a fire where there is no spark. To me, the muscle magazine is a pretty good indicator for a role called "Muscle." You, and everyone else, now have the same information I have, as I have shared everything. You can consider that Marathoner is a "Thug" or "Bodyguard," but I the bodyguard role says "ex-special ops," so I think a Soldier of Fortune-type magazine would be more likely there. You can disagree if you like, but until someone presents something better, I feel pretty strongly about this. Plus, I have been searched and, presumably, the results will be shared soon. |

The Big City Herald
Special Edition We were so worked up over the judge being ruthlessly attacked earlier in the evening that we almost forgot to mention that some voters wrote him off for dead. The results of today's judge's election are in: Anxiety - 3 Blade - 1 It appears that our city's judge is bruised but not beaten and will be around to judge at least for another day more. |

It would seem to me a bodyguard would have much more use for a bulletproof vest over a street thug. You are betting the farm that a 'muscle' magazine automatically links me to street crime, why wouldn't an "ex-special ops" be interested in a muscle magazine? I believe that is what you saw in my trash, I believe you are the janitor. I just think you are working for the dark side trying to take out an independent who could really help the villagers. |

You trying to turn blame around on me is very damning of you. Even if you disagree with how I am interpreting my findings, you must admit that they make some sense from my perspective. Why does that equate to me working for the dark side? I have provided useful information that others can, at the very least, admit is consistent with their roles. I have been investigated and will be dealt with by the law, if I am lying. Your choosing to point me out as a member of the mafia, for believing that your muscle magazine signifies that you are the "Muscle" role, comes off as desperate to me and makes me feel even better about the decision I have come to about you. |

Marathoner, your argument would make a lot more sense to me if he had tried to discredit me as the judge.
If you want to present yourself as the bodyguard, then what have you been up to since the outset of the game? I know I could have used a little guarding yesterday ... |

Negative, Swaggs. I do not have any kind of results. I'm guessing that the detectives have the opportunity to present the findings. However, I do have the ability to issue both a search warrant and an arrest warrant. I'm planning on using both today.
Thoughts - looking for feedback: Assuming we still have our original detectives, submit an arrest warrant for Marathoner and a search warrant for bsak16. If we have two detectives (does dispatcher = detective?), then the one who investigated Swaggs makes the call on arresting Marathoner. The other one checks out bsak16. If we have one detective, then the detective gets to pick between the two warrants. I'm also willing to hold out for LoneStarGirl to execute a Day action prior to submitting the order, if that is coming in the next few minutes. |

Or Swaggs to submit an action - or both.
