Not to mention he could have just voted me for the reason of consolodating things, instead he makes up something that really makes no sense. DT looks like he is looking for an excuse to hide behind. Unvote Schmidty Vote DT |

November 9, 1938. Maurice Bavaud, a Swiss citizen who became obsessed with the fear that Hitler posed a thread to his church and his homeland and plotting to kill Hitler. Wanting to perform the assassination himself he planned to shoot Hitler during the parade of Reichskristallnactht in Munich.
Posing as a Swiss reporter he obtaned VIP seating for the parade. He planned on shooting Hitler as he passed the seating area. Two things went wrong. The first, and most important is that Hitler changed the arrangements of the march at the last minute. The change placed him on the far side of the formation and thuse effectively out of killing range of the gun which Bavaud was using (a Schmeisser 6.35 mm (.25 ACP) semi-automatic pistol). Secondly as Hitler neared the crowd around him stood and saluted Hitler. The rush of outstretched arms and bodies moving forward to get a glimpse of Hitler kept him from getting off a shot. He attmpted to follow the parade to get another chance but that chance never presented itself. Unsuccessful and out of money he hopped a train to Paris without purchasing a ticket. He was discovered aboard the train without a ticket and with the gun still on him. After being arrested he was turned over to the Gestapo and interrogated where he confessed to his plan. The ease of which he confessed have made many question if he actually would have pulled the trigger if he had been given the chance. He was beheaded via guillotine in 1941 as the Swiss government made no attempt to save him. |

Well this is typical day one stuff I suppose... I dont think the Abe Lathum voting should raise any flags. But I always like voting for the first person to put a second vote on somebody, so

PB, as far as you know I'm not playing. Nothing to see here.
As far as the vote, I'll throw it in the direction of someone who has attracted at least a mild amount of suspicion. After reading through the posts DT seemed a little eager to create a linkage that I did not see. I don't have perfect reads on him, but I've seen him push the envelope with tenuous logic (if A fails, go to B the next day) before. If we lynch him and he is a wolf I would put Lathum + Abe in a pretty high trust level. VOTE DADDYTORGO VOTE DADDYTORGO |

I'm catching up myself. I have to agree, DT's been the only one to really do anything suspicious looking today. No reason to have a runaway though.
A 4-2-2-2-2-1-1 vote is probably not ideal though ;-) |

Wow, a quiet evening too. I think the hunt for conspirators deserves more enthusiasm than this!
I had my vote list wrong, but it's actually worse than I thought. I think it's now 3-2-2-2-2-1-1. Way too easy for the wolves to tie it up, and not a lot we can tell from that. Can we somehow agree on targets to consolidate on? I don't really have an argument for Darth, just a day one vote. |

Abe, why did you put DT up by two instead of installing a second candidate. Personally I had no intentions of voting DT, but was debating who to go with as the second candidate. I find your vote switch to the already leading candidate a bit strange.

VOTE DARTH VILIUS
Because in the two games I have played with him, DV has played well, and was always on the opposite side of me. Since I am a Nazi, ergo he is not. Okay, yeah, it's a Day One vote, shoot me (wait, check that, that might actually happen in this game...)

Ditto. Not that that means DT isn't guilty as hell, though. I picked DV partly because he was one of the others with two votes. And I am one of the others with two votes, so obviously it's also self-preservation. Danny, DV is your friend in real life, right? I just want to be sure I'm not voting to lynch someone who is across the seas in England (but I think that's MartinD...).

WHo I actually want to vote is Lonestargirl, her Autumn vote did not sit well with me as she was the last person to put a first vote on someone and spread it out further. And I didn't buy her reasining.

I may be biased, but yes, I also don't see why you would add an 8th candidate to the list that late in the day. Then again I don't know why we'd add a 7th either.

FWIW LSG's vote pinged me hard also, but at the time I had a couple of votes on me so I couldn't risk switching.

I can get behind an LSG vote. It wasn't something that clicked with me when I read her vote (I was catching up), but now that Danny pointed it out, I also am not a fan of the way that went down.
But we still have players who haven't even voted. Seems kind of arbitrary for pinning her down for a late "spread the vote" vote, since go a little sooner or wait a little longer, and someone else suddenly looks suspicious. Plus, I'm not quick to jump behind Danny because he tripped a minor vibe of mine. Probably nothing, but it's there.

I have to concur with others at this point that this day's voting has been a mess. There's still 30 minutes, but at this point in time we have four people who haven't voted, 3 people with 1 vote on them, 2 people with 2 votes on them, along with the two leading candidates. That's ridiculous.

Yeah, FWIW, while LSG had a strange vote, I don't see how it helps the wolves. We already had seven candidates, there has to be somebody they could go for there. Unless there's some mechanic or info she had that we don't.
