I would have jumped at that deal, but I got Empire in a big pack from GG a while back for super cheap. Thanks though.

Got my first free game today from the recommend objective: Hunted: The Demon's Forge. Which I've never heard of before. Looks like it plays best as a co-op fantasy shooter, which makes it likely I would not enjoy it. So will trade it if it sounds like a game you would enjoy.

I'm really glad to have so many FOFCers on my Steam friends list. Makes it a lot more fun. I have been given free games and have given free games, definitely a great community!

I'm up for some Dungeon Defenders. Was practicing earlier. I got a squire up to level 10 and a mage to 6. I tried the Christmas level but got annihilated.

It's a public game now named FOFC. We're currently leveling up before trying Christmas challenge.

Got the Spiral Knights achievement finally
How I did it (and I don't know if it matters). I tried the lockdown and it wasn't the snow level. So I played through anyway and won. GOt more crowns.
Then re-entered the game and that time it was snow level.
The snowballs are encountered on the floor inside the maze (not at the entrance). Just pick them up by attacking them and then throw them at your target.

Ok, the Dungeon Defenders achievement is not remotely easy, at least if you don't have a high level character.

I got the snow map first time in. That was nice.

Just need one more lump of coal and I'll have seven. What to do then.

A chance to win every game on Steam.

Which, I'm not gonna win every game on Steam, so why not spin the wheel and see if I can get a crappy game instead?

It is possible to win a crappy game instead of a crappy coupon!

I got a crappy coupon instead, however. Oh well! I mean, you have to figure...Steam says there have been 2.6 million unique users in the last 48 hours, right?

So each lump of coal represents a 1 in 2.6 million chance, potentially, of winning every game on Steam. Maybe less than that, since not everybody is necessarily checking in every day.

Dunno what the odds are of crafting a game out of 7 coals, but they had to have been better than 1 in 2.6 million!

i would guess that it is the same for doing that as it is for simply receiving a free game for solving one of the achievements. I already got a crappy game out of that and that's the only "playing a game" achievement I've gone after thus far.

Terraria - Havent figured out much in this one, but it looks good
Defense Grid: Awakening - Never played a Tower Defense game before, this game is awesome.

I bought Terraria, played it for 15 minutes, and don't understand the point. It seems like the most boring game ever.

So far...

22 achievements
15 pieces of coal
6 crappy coupons
1 game (though it was The Orange Box)

It turned around quite a bit as after the first 5 achievements I had 4 coupons and 1 piece of coal.

Debating about crafting or saving the coal as entries.

I was up to 16 coal and decided to spin the wheel and craft something, and I ended up with a game called Lightfish. Has anyone played it?

It's absolutely a game where you have to set your own goals and make your own fun. For me it's tons of fun to build, mine and explore the underground. There are some goals and quests to advance in the game, such as unlocking and defeating different bosses and events, though they won't be given to you in game and you'll have to read the wiki to learn what you need to do.

Snap bought Puzzle Agent games. My wife likes the Layton games like crazy so for that price they are worth a shot.

Also, I now have 45 steam games. Blows my mind. There are probably 12 of them I've never played (besides PA1 and 2 which haven't installed yet).

On a whole I don't think the puzzles in Puzzle Agent are quite as good as Professor Layton, but they're still enjoyable and I absolutely love the story and atmosphere of the series. Graham Annable's work is fantastic.

And as much as I love Puzzle Agent I really wish Professor Layton was available on PC.

I have 160 games after today's purchases. Most of them (probably 85%) have been purchased for less than $3. I've played about half of them, but of course I usually stock up on them around this time and work my way through them over the course of the year.

Right click on game name in library. There's an option there to do something with local files. Can't remember the exact verbiage, but it usually fixes the problem just fine.

What's funny is in the initial part of the video they say the name of that game.

I joined the FOFC group. ID should be matthean there as well. I don't expect much playing time until summer though.
