1 Feb, I order my two 25k armies back to Egypt

Mamluks and Turks at war again

Next is the Kongo region

I am close to the final Admin Idea

We have 104k out of 156k army vs forcelimit, and army is 59.65 cash, with us making 37.11 monthly. I order another 25k army in North Africa to head over to the border with Mamluks.

4 May - Here let me show you why I am having an issue with my Missionaries.

I am showing you a dialed in look at one of my recent takes from the Mamluks, the Egyptian Sunni making 10 dev province of Rashid:



See how I get +2 base, +2 Inquisitor, and my state and stability boost, but this is Sunni, 10 dev, not a state, and not an accepted culture? They combine to not give me anything. And I cannot make Egyptian a culture until they are state. So I need to finish the Idea Group, make states, remove that -2 penalty, accept Egyptian remove that penalty, and then begin converting the masses.

Our peace treaty with the Mamluks is ending in four years and you can see the Turks are taking all of the land to the east but nothing past us as I declined military access. They were left by their ally Adal and now have none.

In the meantime I am considering a short Kongo Region war.

My Kongo Army of 14k should be enough for both, and then what I’d do is hold off on cores until enough ADM power to get my next idea and then core slowly while waiting for the war with Mamluks and then while warring.

This is a horrible time for an Indies war since I don’t have the manpower for a longer burn, and I just used my ADM power for coring my new takes in Egypt. That’s a rough hit, but Malacca are my people here and we need to keep things chummy.

I don’t have the 40k mercs available so I order 30k in Borneo’s Bastion of Sampas next to Brunei

Now the big thing I want to take from the Mamluks is their final Red Sea holding in case I cannot build enough warscore for everything to stop the Trucks crossing and taking and coring land to my rear and out flanking me. That province will be my wartarget and we’ll grab it early for a highwarscore. I might not be able to take everything since this is clearly in the Turks backyard and they might care in just a little, unlike my previous war.
