You could say that. The past two weeks we've been in the midst of both replacing a faulty production server as well as implementing a new production system. Monday is the go-live date for both, so no more 16 hour days for me hopefully, and I'll be able to go back to providing regular updates to this, as well as playing through my Boston University dynasty which has been severely neglected the past couple of weeks. I will, however, promise an update when I get home from work tonight.

Recruiting Update - January 2004
If a school on the player's top 5 list has offered them a scholarship, it will have an asterisk next to it.
Kyle Smith, SF - Commited to Dayton Well Kyle, our pint-sized SF, finally made up his decision, and it was no great shock. Dayton had been his #1 school for some time, but he had some difficulty bringing him self to sign the papers, perhaps because of Boston College's late challenge? Still, the Flyers came away with their #1 target, and we'll see how they end up using this top 100 recruit. July top 5: Central Conn, Boston U., Albany, New Hampshire, Lehigh August top 5: Central Conn, Siena, Detroit, Maryland, Iona September top 5: Marist, Virginia Tech, Massachusetts, Boston College, Dayton October top 5: Dayton*, Marist*, Boston College*, Massachusetts, Illinois-Chicago* November top 5: Dayton*, Marist*, Boston College*, Illinois-Chicago*, Massachusetts December top 5: Dayton*, Marist*, Boston College*, Massachussets, Wisconsin January top 5: Dayton*, Marist, Boston College, Wisconsin, Virginia Tech Peregrine Falcon, PF - Committed to McNeese St Mike Tokunaga, PF Austin Peay shot right up Mike's list, but still no offers. Shouldn't be long now. July top 5: Cal State Fullerton, Central Conn., Western Illinois, Boston U., East Tenn State. August top 5: same September top 5: same October top 5: Evansville, McNeese St., Cal State Fullerton, Central Conn., Western Illinois November top 5: Evansville, McNeese St., Austin Peay, Cal State Fullerton, Illinois St. December top 5: Evansville, McNeese St., Austin Peay, Illinois State, Seton Hall January top 5: Austin Peay, Evansville, UC Santa Barbara, Boston College, Pennsylvania Jeeber D. Mack, PF - Commited to Texas Southern John Galt, C - Committed to Wagner. Colton Mayes, PG A good amount of activity for Mayes this month, with Arkansas St showing some heavy interest. The rest of the schools pretty much held steady. July top 5: Mercer, Western Illinois, Grambling, Alcorn St., UMKC August top 5: Same September top 5: Same October top 5: Mercer, Alcorn St., Grambling, Western Illinois, UMKC November top 5: Same December top 5: Same January top 5: Arkansas St., Mercer, Western Illinois, Grambling, Coastal Carolina Rick Jolley, PF - Committed to Niagara. Kyle Kappe, PG A few changes amongst the bottom feeders of Kappe's top 5, but UC Riverside and UC Santa Barbara still appear to have the lead. July top 5: Cal Poly, Long Beach St, UC Santa Barbara, UC Riverside, Weber St August top 5: UC Santa Barbara, UC Riverside, Cal Poly, Long Beach St., Weber St September top 5: Same October top 5: UC Riverside, UC Santa Barbara, Long Beach St., Cal Poly, Weber St November top 5: UC Santa Barbara, UC Riverside, Long Beach St., Cal Poly, Weber St December top 5: UC Riverside, UC Santa Barbara, Long Beach St., Caly Poly, Weber St January top 5: UC Riverside, UC Santa Barbara, San Francisco, Idaho St., Loyola Marymount Dan Barile, C - Committed Manhattan Cleary sick of waiting for Vermont, Barile didn't pass up on Manhattan's offer. The Manhattan Jasper's are in the midst of what looks to be a losing season, and won't return any starters in their frontcourt next season, so Barile should find time next season if he isn't red-shirted. July top 5: Holy Cross, Siena, Albany, Hartford, Vermont August top 5: Vermont, Holy Cross, Siena, Albany, Hartford September top 5: Same October top 5: Vermont, Siena, Holy Cross, Albany, Hartford November top 5: Vermont, Siena, Northeastern, Wagner, Brown December top 5: Vermont, Siena, Northeastern, Brown, Harvard January top 5: Manhattan*, Northeastern, Brown, Vermont, Binghampton ... to be continued! ...

Recruiting Update - February 2004
If a school on the player's top 5 list has offered them a scholarship, it will have an asterisk next to it.
Kyle Smith, SF - Commited to Dayton Peregrine Falcon, PF - Committed to McNeese St Mike Tokunaga, PF - Commited to Steston Stetson's offer came in, and Mike jumped at the chance, after being forced to sit around for months with no love. A few new faces and a couple of familiar ones continued to express interest, but Mike was after a free trip to school, and he got it. July top 5: Cal State Fullerton, Central Conn., Western Illinois, Boston U., East Tenn State. August top 5: same September top 5: same October top 5: Evansville, McNeese St., Cal State Fullerton, Central Conn., Western Illinois November top 5: Evansville, McNeese St., Austin Peay, Cal State Fullerton, Illinois St. December top 5: Evansville, McNeese St., Austin Peay, Illinois State, Seton Hall January top 5: Austin Peay, Evansville, UC Santa Barbara, Boston College, Pennsylvania February top 5: Stetson*, Montana, Boston University, Nebraska, Pennsylvania Jeeber D. Mack, PF - Commited to Texas Southern John Galt, C - Committed to Wagner. Colton Mayes, PG - Commited to Western Illinois Western Illinois have been in it since the beginning and finally this month forked up the scholarship that Mayes had been craving. Kansas St also mounted a last minute bid, which would have led to a big conference for Mayes, but only Western Illinois came through with an offer. July top 5: Mercer, Western Illinois, Grambling, Alcorn St., UMKC August top 5: Same September top 5: Same October top 5: Mercer, Alcorn St., Grambling, Western Illinois, UMKC November top 5: Same December top 5: Same January top 5: Arkansas St., Mercer, Western Illinois, Grambling, Coastal Carolina February top 5: Western Illinois*, Kansas St., Arkansas St., Mercer, Middle Tenn St Rick Jolley, PF - Committed to Niagara. Kyle Kappe, PG UC Riverside clearly has interest in Kappe, as they've been pursuing him for months, but if they don't put an offer on the table Kappe will be headed elsewhere (perhaps forced to walk-on?). July top 5: Cal Poly, Long Beach St, UC Santa Barbara, UC Riverside, Weber St August top 5: UC Santa Barbara, UC Riverside, Cal Poly, Long Beach St., Weber St September top 5: Same October top 5: UC Riverside, UC Santa Barbara, Long Beach St., Cal Poly, Weber St November top 5: UC Santa Barbara, UC Riverside, Long Beach St., Cal Poly, Weber St December top 5: UC Riverside, UC Santa Barbara, Long Beach St., Caly Poly, Weber St January top 5: UC Riverside, UC Santa Barbara, San Francisco, Idaho St., Loyola Marymount February top 5: UC Riverside, Northern Arizona, Eastern Washington, Cal Poly, Sacramento St Dan Barile, C - Committed Manhattan ... to be continued! ...

Recruiting Update - April 2004
If a school on the player's top 5 list has offered them a scholarship, it will have an asterisk next to it.
This is the last month before the recruiting period ends. Players can still be signed after April, but I won't know about it till next season begins Kyle Smith, SF - Commited to Dayton Peregrine Falcon, PF - Committed to McNeese St Mike Tokunaga, PF - Commited to Steston Jeeber D. Mack, PF - Commited to Texas Southern John Galt, C - Committed to Wagner. Colton Mayes, PG - Commited to Western Illinois Rick Jolley, PF - Committed to Niagara. Kyle Kappe, PG Still the only remaining member of our top 9 to not get an offer. He's still got one last chance to get the scholarship, but Kappe must be feeling a little bit anxious... Got some interest from Washington this month, which would put him in a nice conference provided they like what they saw. July top 5: Cal Poly, Long Beach St, UC Santa Barbara, UC Riverside, Weber St August top 5: UC Santa Barbara, UC Riverside, Cal Poly, Long Beach St., Weber St September top 5: Same October top 5: UC Riverside, UC Santa Barbara, Long Beach St., Cal Poly, Weber St November top 5: UC Santa Barbara, UC Riverside, Long Beach St., Cal Poly, Weber St December top 5: UC Riverside, UC Santa Barbara, Long Beach St., Caly Poly, Weber St January top 5: UC Riverside, UC Santa Barbara, San Francisco, Idaho St., Loyola Marymount February top 5: UC Riverside, Northern Arizona, Eastern Washington, Cal Poly, Sacramento St March top 5: UC Riverside, Saint Mary's, Texas Southern, San Jose St., Weber St. April top 5: Washington, Oakland, Praire View A&M, Wichita St., Texas-San Antonio Dan Barile, C - Committed Manhattan ... to be continued! ...[/quote]

I would love to see him walk on at Tennessee, and then have Tennessee's top 3 SGs all graduate/declare in the same year. We could have the follow up to Ardent's walk-on dynasty

That would be excellent. I'm disappointed to not get a scholarship again. Ah well. Go VOLS! Do we actually walk on to schools? If so, MAKE me walk on to UT.

Some players do walk on to random schools (based on school prestige and recruit ranking I'd suspect), others dissapear off the face off the earth. For those players that do dissapear, I was going to 'force' them on to the #1 school on their list at the end of April. So if you don't walk on somewhere automatically, I'll be sure to chuck you on Tennessee

I'll post the list of who signed/walked-on where tomorrow. I've just finished moving house and am currently waiting for my internet connection at my new place to get installed, which should be happening tomorrow afternoon.

This dynasty has taken two months and still hasn't gotten through recruiting. To get through our four year careers is going to take a decade.

Guys if you haven't seen it mentioned in any of the threads on here or the FBCB site I've had no net access at home for the past couple of weeks and I'm not sure when that's going to happen as getting the cable guys to come out after working hours or on the weekend is proving tough and I can't take a day off work for the time being.
