I am Koji Maruyama. I don't really remember much from before the camp fire, but I have a vague recollection of coming from a very distinguished family. I'm proud to be a samurai.

Or, subtitled (unfortunately, Google doesn't do a good English-Oriental-English, so I had to settle for English-French-German-English):
I am Koji Maruyama. I do not remember much really before the campfire, but I have a vague memory to come from a very much differentiated family to. I am one to be proud samurai.

And here are the (very) early vote tallies:

Saldana (1) - Eaglesfan (post 121)
Dubb (1) - Blade (post 124)

The only reason it isn't called a Norris sword is because Chuck Norris's leg is stronger.

Same with that one. Seems stupid to vote the seasoned players off on day 1. Either they will be killed early, or they will help us in a few days. Makes the game easier for the ninjas.

It's late and this appears to be a triple dola, what I meant was it makes no sense to vote for them early, b/c last game we proved that without them the villager types are worthless. Hate to say it, but we played you guys like puppets once the seasoned players were gone. Why turn around and vote for one early this time around? Let the ninjas waste kills on them if that is the route they play, or let them help you in a few days if they are left around.

If it gets too obvious what they are doing, at that time you vote them out, but not on day 1, that is stupid.

Quite honestly dubb i expect to attempt to stir some discussion up tomorrow. My vote on you was unlikely to stay before the comment, but like i always want it caused you to defend it. I expect that to happen a few times tomorrow to make this a somewhat better informed day one. With non-usual roles, its going to be an interesting game and im just trying to feel out the players i know. I couldnt tell you how tangleweed normally responds, hence my vote for you. You responded, and i will likely feel out others before the vote is over. Never too early to go to work. Thank you for your responses by the way, helpful

Honestly? The first day... is the best time to get a seasoned person. if they are a ninja, then we deny them a chance to hatch plans (and more importantly, if/when they're found out, hide the affiliations of their comrades with doubletalk).. and if we get one or two seasond players early, then there's still others who can take their place.

There is no free pass for having done this kind of stuff before...

And one of Foz's rules: Never trust the first person to throw out a vote, because most of the time, they're attempting to start a discussion that they can steer away from their friends.

VOTE SALDANA

Especially because he thinks sake is below samurai. I don't thiiiiink so

I don't really think thats a very good idea. We found last game that when some of the seasoned vets in the villagers were killed, the rest of the game lacked alot of order or direction, and the villagers never were able to keep things together. I think its probably in our better interests to try to keep some of our vets alive for a while, so we can have time to get more information on who the bad guys might be. Unless someone comes out with some proof to why one of the vets is a likely ninja, or they slip up, Im not sure I would like to lynch one of them on a "hunch" this early.

That said.. last game I voted for the first person to vote.. this game I decided to vote for the first person to cast a second vote on someone. I really have no idea if Saldana is good or bad, or if Sirfozzie is good or bad, but for day one at least for now:

The last I saw, day one is over at 8pm CST on monday. So about 32 hours from now. Plenty of time for people to get in. If people don't vote/contribute to the discussion by then, its probably not due to lack of chance.
