So, making sure I have this correct. If you went left in the first room, going right would NOT put you back at the same room you just left?

Right, your orientation changes as you move, just like in real life. Otherwise I'd have to remember what starting position players had way back when and in a couple of weeks, I may not remember where you started on the map. That's why I am giving you fair warning now. If you turn left, and are in a room with exits forward, right and backwards, turning right takes you to a new room, diagonal from your original room. That's also why i mentioned that everyone starts facing inward.

It's just like Labyrinth, piece of cake. I'm sure Abe will have things that move us to random locations too. Disorientation is awesome.

As a priest I would be deep in mourning over the potential loss of any of our fellow adventurers and give them their proper final rites.
That said, is it possible to find other PC corpses and loot them for anything of use? |

Yes, if someone dies, their corpse is on the floor and its items can be taken. However, the magical items will need to be reidentified.

so if i have exits forward and right and i go right...my orientation will change so that the room i came from is "behind" ? like i'm walking into the room facing forward? or am i sliding into the room facing inward so that the room i came from is "left" ?

The first part...you turn to your right, and you walk into the room facing forward, so the room you were in is behind you.

I think pen and paper would be easiest, other than that, you could muck up some graphics in Word or Paint or some such if you have any proficiency. I'm probably just going to do it in my head until I confuse myself. |

Really all I am doing is drawing a box with a few details about that room, then I will draw an arrow and another box toward the direction I move (I am moving forward today, so my next box will be below my first one) I don't think it needs to be anything extravagant.

Danny has been added to the game but still needs to give me his movement order for the Movement Phase today. No more adds unless they come in now though.
Random dice gave him Trow Warrior

Oh, I have a giant posterboard with the dungeon on it. each player is on a mini post it note. The Post it notes have your name and an arrow to show your facing. They are color coded by class, so when Danny joined, I added another pink Post It to the board.

Ah I see it fixed now. It seems I am actually more Scandinavian, but I am not sure how to talk like that. I might stick with the trollish talk I have gone with so far.

I have absolutely no clue at all how long it will take to process the movement actions. Combat, running descriptions, etc. I am going to start doing a few now, just to get some ready. It could take me an hour or more. You still have the absolute right to change your mind and such, but it will give me a chance to start the dice rolling. Literally, I have a selection right here at my desktop.

But what if you kick the map into a river because you've been going in circles for days and there is this evil witch that is keeping you trapped in the woods, but you have cameras and you keep filming until you see the guy in the corner and then it fades to black... what then!!!

I encountered a large killer mushroom and managed to kill it after going into berserk mode. Good thing too, as it was kicking me arse before I went berserk. The mushroom man wasn't carrying any gold, but I got an item that can heal me.

[Chesapeake ponders DTs experience for a moment]
I seem to recall an ancient tome that refers to the annis. It was classification of evil hag. You are, indeed, fortunate to have emerged the victor in your conflagration, for I believe that the annis is quite magical in nature and can assume a variety of different disguises. The book I read, I remember, was bound with this old leather -- at least it had the feel for leather, but you know oftentimes these ancient books are bound in the hides of other animals. In my own library I have bindings in the hides of at least 47 different animals. You'd think that the calfskin would be the most supple, but I actually have one bound in the hide of the rare Abynesian goat that has texture that is almost otherworldly. Perhaps it is otherworldly. I must consider this possibility. If you'll all excuse me. |

I moved forward from the fountain,
I found a library and some mages Two if you are countin' They returned to their pages I have to kill the mages to search this place That sounds like a bad idea for me, I can move forward, left, right, or about face, Left seems the place to be For someone smaller than a Taurian like me.

I entered a room that appears to have nothing in it, I think it would be as good of a place as any to search.
