A DB is the leading scorer in the game. A pick six and a blocked FG return

And mizzou losing. Giving up 35 to MO st. Ouch

Someone needs to tell Mizzou that they shouldn't be leaking points to a bad FCS program.

On what planet is Texas the 2nd best team in the Big 12?

I really like Herman and I think he gets things right there, but I don't think it starts this year. Most likely they finish behind OSU, OU, WVU, KState, and TCU this year.

Maybe lower if they are losing to Maryland and giving up 30 in a half.

I wonder if a Tom Hermann team has ever put up 27 points with only 6 from the offense?

Maryland with the penalty on the PAT for having 2 #57s on the field at once. They were lined up 57-75-57.

Iowa has a defense that will be one of the best in the nation.
This is not Hyperbole.
last year it was top 20. This group is much better.

Florida offense should be much improved, Michigan being as inexperienced as they are will make some mistakes(turnovers, blown coverage, missed tackles). Michigan has the talent to to win despite their mistakes. Really seeing value in the over 45 in this game.

9 returning starters and a much better quarterback situation. Their offensive line has good experience.

I am honestly not sure why Michigan is favored in this game. Michigan lost so much. They have tons of talent but this early in the season who knows how that will go against a solid team. The suspensions hurt Florida a bit but they have the depth at them positions to not make it sting.

I think it's because of the 10 players Florida has suspended for the game. At full strength they're probably at least even money.

It should be considerably better. Upgrade at QB seems like it would have to help.

Proof will be in the pudding of course, but on paper, yeah it should be at worst decent IMO.

yes, they will.
We will be close in every game with the possible exceptions of PsU and OSU.

You know Iowa and Wisconsin always play close games. And the visitor has won the last 7 games.

Fun stat from Wyoming game: First time Wyoming has been unable to score a TD since 11-14-03.

Michigan is favored because they have more talent and a better coach. Defense is much easier to replace than offense.

Im going to go with Swartz's assessment. The suspensions put the line where it is.

The most capable of bettors need to be concerned with 5 returning starters in week 1 of a difficult neutral site game.

Thus far Florida is looking like the inexperienced team.

Okay, so maybe UF's offense isn't better after all.

Michigan's defense wasn't the problem in the first half. 91 yards and 3 points for the Florida offense. If Michigan stops turning the ball over they should put this one away.

Charlie Strong looking like he wants to lose that USF job even quicker than the Texas one.

ND isn't a top 10 team, but they should definitely be ranked. Brandon Wimbush is better than DeShone Kizer & the left side of the offensive line is ridiculous.

USC in a little trouble with Western Michigan early.

I had heard rumblings of both being NFL 1st rounders, and today has done nothing to disprove that.

Welp! Either Florida's offense is worse than last year or Michigan's defense is tops in the nation despite the inexperience. Interesting to say the least.

Over cashes barely with 3 defensive TDs, cant say im proud of that but it did hit.

Franks has room to develop into something good at QB, he's just way too young to play against Michigan's "inexperienced" defense. Michigan lost a bunch of starters, but almost everyone who started today had significant playing time last year. They're just transitioning into getting starter's time now.

Just hoping for one of the small school upsets today to actually happen. Stony Brook made USF work for it. Maybe the Fleckless Broncos beat USC. James Madison is up 14-0 at ECU. Liberty is 6-0 at Baylor. Houston Baptist is 9-0 at Texas State. Central Arkansas is 10-10 at KState. Cal Poly up 3-0 early at San Jose State. I just want to see one of these, or any big FCS or small school upset, come through today.

Well 127th out of 129 in returning production so ummm Id say they are a bit "inexperienced".

I would suggest that there may be too many conclusions being drawn after one game. The answer to stuff like 'Is Michigan's D that good?' or 'Is Florida's O that bad?' could be either, both, or neither. It's not like the game means nothing -- you just need more of a pattern to know for sure, esp. when the teams themselves are just starting to figure out what they've got. As far as Michigan is concerned, they got through it and that's the important thing for them until State visits next month and the schedule starts to get a bit more interesting.

USC escapes. I think if WMU had a QB, they'd win by two scores. They were very one dimensional and still put up points.

Cool moment though, as they brought in a blind long snapper on an extra point.

Hoke tried that 3-3-5 crap and failed miserably. Maybe Harbaugh has better athletes, but it si still 3 undersized at the LB going against big dudes that are mean in the B1G. It is not something that will succeed.
Unless Harbaugh just did it against FLorida and will go back to a 4-3 when the real games start.

The Lamar Jackson Show, Part II is upon us. 276 yards for him personally(throwing + passing), 136 for Purdue. Naturally the Boilermakers lead Louisville 14-13 in the third quarter.

Big missed PI call at the end of the half in the endzone during the FSU/Ala game.
Then Ala blocks the FG attempt

The frustrating part of the targeting penalty is the lack of consistency. The difference between the targeting penalty called against Purdue a couple possessions ago vs the lack of a call against Alabama on the latest shot on Francois being two very closely timed examples. I know all officiating is subjective but anything close should be called or at least reviewed. Anything borderline should be called, what is the point in letting that call slide?

They don't seem to get the calls right much more often with replay than without it on that foolishness anyway.
