Heh. Next week the Lions could be playing for 3rd place in their division. Vikings could go from being in the NFC title game to worse than the Lions.

There is a story on ESPN that the Vikings might play the 2011 season at TCF Bank stadium. Would this mean there would be no beer sales at any Vikings home games?

Chargers basically no showing against Cincinnati. 2nd quarter and they have 5 yards total offense.

Nice to see Coastal Carolina grad Jerome Simpson get a TD for Cincy-has had to sit behind "Batman and Robin" this season so never really got a chance to play. It's actually three Coastal Carolina grads against each other with Mike Tolbert and Quinton Teal for San Diego.

Ugh just saw Tolbert got hurt in the game and they had to take him off on a stretcher. Simpson came up to make sure he was okay as they did.

Simpson has been much maligned in Cincy. Talk show hosts demolish him, as he was a 2nd round pick a couple of years back, and he hasn't been able to see the field. He rarely dresses, so it's not just the #1 and #2 he's been behind.

Eagles-Vikings game is pushed to Tuesday because of snow. Blizzard hitting Philly right now and it's going to get worse as the night goes on.

Bradshaw shouldn't see the fucking field the rest of the game. His turnovers have killed the giants this season.

I hate to sound like sour grapes because the giants have done nothing to win this game but I have seen 4 or 5 holds on the packers offensive line not get called.

Damn I had the Bengals and Giants in a moneyline parlay with like 10-1 odds. Didn't think the Giants would be the one to let me down.

Lol. I am a total mess right now. Got about 3 hours sleep. Had an early flight from jersey to Seattle. Got in noon my time. Ditched the wife, kid, and in laws and hit the bar. Been drinking ever since. Wife just joined me, in laws watching kid. Just did a shot to celebrate giants season, Irish wake style. Whistler for a week tomorrow. All is good. |

Geez Tebow threw for 320 yards and led the Bronocs from a 17-0 halftime lead to go ahead 24-23. Now of course it is the Texans defense and the Broncos defense is giving the lead back. Interception! Broncos win game over.Wow.

Got to love the challenge rules in the NFL. Teams only allowed 2 even if the refs admit fucking up on one of them.

Just looking at the AFC standings, it's going to be a relatively boring last week. Only thing left to decide is where the Ravens and Jets will be traveling for the first round game (Indy or KC).

As much as I'd like to say otherwise, but Indy hasn't exactly been dominating the competition this season.

Yeah, I'm sure they'll just walk all over the Chiefs. Arrowhead has been a haven for visiting opponents. In all seriousness, I can't imagine a tougher atmosphere than what we'll see in KC. First home playoff game in some time. It's going to be a nuthouse and that's probably putting it mildly. I'm hoping personally for the Ravens just because I lived there for awhile. Would love to see Ray Lewis play one more time in person. |

Um, I think it's more likely Peyton slid to run out the clock, not because he was going to get caught.

KC is one and done. I would hope for the Jets if I were you... that is about their only chance. Ravens or Steelers win by 10+. You are right that last place home schedule of Denver, Oakland, SD, SF, Jax, Buf, Arizona, and Ten was brutal. EDIT: I guess a Jags miracle last week would be the best case scenerio. KC doesn't deserve a home playoff game. They should reseed the first round.

Nah, St Louis and Seattle don't deserve a first round home game. The Chiefs had a good season. Like my team Cinci last season they are done after next week but that doesn't dimenish the season they had. |

Sounds good. How about the KU game? Seriously though I am not hating on you as much as I hear this shit from my two friends every weekend. One is a Rams fan that thinks they will knock the Saints out of the playoffs because of the "atmosphere" at the dome and the other a huge KC fan whose statements mimick yours. Being a Bengals fan I am happy for both of them but will also be gambling heavy on their opponents. |

There's no comparison between STL and KC. That should have been very obvious last week when STL had two false starts due to crowd noise IN THEIR OWN STADIUM. There was red everywhere in that place. We can work out a game. Pretty safe to say KU tickets aren't available. |

Cool. I will add that if it is the Jets vs KC there is a possibility of me not making the wager. I can't think of a team that I hate more than the Jets right now and can't see putting any money on them. It kills me to see Brad Smith have to wear that uniform every week especially with Sanchez as the starter. |

Not much defense played in the NFL today. I cant believe that Jets could lose a game they scored 34 points to the Bears. As much as I hate to admit it Cutler has come a long way as a QB this year. He is ALMOST looking like he could be a winning QB in this league. Just needs to cut down on his TOs a bit more.
What is Coughlin's contract status? He needs to be kicked out the door. I bet the 23 teams that passed on Aaron Rodgers when he was orginally projected as the #1 pick are kicking themselves. He is just so impressive almost Manning, Brees, and Brady"esqe." Last edited by jbergey22 : 12-26-2010 at 08:07 PM. |

I don't disagree with the assessment of Simpson-I, even being the Coastal Carolina "homer" that I am, was stunned he was taken in the 2nd round by Cincy-he was way too raw and probably a little immature to be taken that high. He barely made the regular season roster this year. He got injured in his first game as a pro and had a lot of competition from the multitude of WR's Cincy has drafted since he's been on the team. Then the addition of TO this season. He really hasn't had the chance to show what he could do and certainly some (a lot?) is his fault and/or just not being ready to play in the NFL when he was drafted. I was just saying that it was nice for one game at least to see one of my local college team players have a nice game-two TD's and over 120 yards is certainly nice. Now lets see if he can put two nice games in a row together and Cincy can see if he really was worth the second round investment. |
