May not do a fight tonight. Have been fighting a bad migraine all evening and though it has subsided a bit I don't want to push it.

My suggestions on maximizing points..
I've found a chintzy way to maximize my points in free sparring: I have a slam that takes me to side control (Clinch, learned clinch to body lock, learned suplex to side control)..Then I start throwing knees and little rabbit punches. Once the guy tries to get out from underneath, I transition to north/south and throw rabbit punches (doesn't matter how much damage you do, all it tracks are blows landed). When they try to get out there, transition back to side control and start over At the level I'm at (even with low level difficulty), I'm earning something like 70 points per session thanks to the bonus from the high level trainer, and sheer amount of points from little hits.

Fight Thirty Two
Week 1: Moderate cardio training Week 2: Rest Week 3: Sparring, work on my striking Week 4: Rest Week 5: Gameplan submissions Week 6: Sparring, work on ground grappling and submission defense Week 7: Media workout; successful Week 8: Rest Week 9: Intense strength training Week 10: Rest I agree to attend an event and pick some of the fights. My Picks: Joe Stevenson over Clay Guida in a 2nd round submission Josh Koscheck over Thiago Alves in a decision Dan Henderson over Wanderlei Silva in a 3rd round TKO Sean Sherk over Frank Edgar in a 3rd round KO Week 11: Rest UFN 85 My Fight Kenny "The Kid" Davis (20-10-1) vs. Hermes Franca (21-15) 1st round - I land a few shots to the head and cut him early. I start working the body and is legs and then take him down. I am able to mount him and use ground and pound to open him up even more but then I try a kimura and he escapse. We return to our feet and I take him down again. This time he tries a triangle choke but I escape. I work his body and legs and I can see it wearing him down. I take him down near the end of the round and try a kimura which I almost ge but he lasts to the bell. 2nd round - I start out tagging him with body kicks. Soon I shoot and take him down and rocfk him with ground and pound but he covers and the ref doesn't stop it. I frustration I let him up, as he staggers to his feet I hit him cleanly with an overhand right and he drops, out cold. No doubt that time ref, you could have prevented that by stopping it earlier. He is still out as the results are announced. I improve to 21-10-1 with that KO!!! |

I actually stood up that last game because he was covering just enough and I had hoped if I stood up I would have been able to stand over him and throw but he staggered to his feet.
If this was a real fight that ref would have been questioned about not stopping this one. I don't think I have bloodied anyone as badly as that fight. I actually had other chances to pound him while he was dazed but I tried to submit instead and had no luck (figured my fighte is supposed to be more of a submission fighter. |

I do even worse. I just do the side suplex to side control from the clinch without the body lock. Clinch, Suplex, Stand up. Just do that same sequence over and over again without throwing any punches, and I get 110 points.

Has anyone tried to win the title in the ladder mode? I tried this once and I couldn't believe the skill level it seems to jump for the title match. I tried in beginner level and the first 6 matches had me thinking that I should have tried a higher skill level. Then the second to last fight was a little tougher and I actually lost once to submission and when I retried I won easily. Thought the title match would be about the same but it has been insane. I have been tapped out every time I have tried. Even if I rock my opponent they recover before I can even mount an attack to take advantage of it. One point I rocked my opponent and he proceeded to take me down (while the "rocked" affect was still going on). Once he took me down the affect wore off and he submitted me. Many of those submissions had me tapping before I could even try to defend, would barely start to move the right stick and would here "it's all over". One fight I rocked my opponent 3 times. Two of them he fell to the ground and before I was even able to get over him to throw a punch the affect was over. The third time he was stillstanding and I landed a head kick and a couple punches but the affect wore off with no further advantage. E then took me down and submitted me. I was playing as Liddell in this mode. If this is the beginner mode, I can't imagine what the highest skill level would be like by the time you reach the title fight. I couldn't believe how extreme the jump in difficulty was. To be honest I probably could have made it through the secodn to last fight without that one submission but I was getting too cocky and had my opponent rocked at one point and tried to setup a perfect looking head kick for the KO but wasn't able to before the affect wore off. He then tied me up and took me down before submitting me. |

As the bell rings I come out quickly and land a couple of punhes and elbows to his head before going to eh body with kicks. I get careless and ke knocks me down with a punch but I quickly get back to my feet. As he comes forward again I drill him with a right and then an elbow. He hesitates and I land a right that rocks him, then en elbow to the jaw and he stumbles to the canvas. I get on top and start to fire away but he covers up and the ref doesn't stop the fight as he starts to regain a little sense. He gets back to his feet. He ties me up and I land a few knees inside and I make a mistake by going for a takedown. He sprawls and gets my back. I am able to flip and pull him into guard but he tries a kimura and I escape. He transition and mounts me. I try to escape but he grabe my arm and tries an armbar. I clasp my hands to try to prevent it but he pulls them apart and cranks the armbar hard. I am unableto escape and I eventually tap. This did not go well, I drop to 22-11-1. I thought I had him and got careless. |

I start with combinations to the head and then a few body kicks. I start with leg kicks and back to the body. I but him open with an elbow to the head and back to leg and body kicks. I am trying to wear him down and chop him down. He lands a couple of shots but nothing that does damage. I see him wince after a leg kick so they are working. He tries to take me down and I sprawl and give him a strong body kick to remember it by as he backs off. Looks like you were going pretty well last night.
How far are you into this career now? I thought you had seven out of twelve seasons earlier? Is there a point where the aging process starts to diminish your fighting capabilities, prior to you being forced out? |

I work the body and land a few more blows to the head and knock him down with one. He gets back to his feet and I start to get careless as I try for the knockout with punches and get knocked down with a head kick. Luckily it only caught me off balance and I quickly get back to my feet. I go back to working the body and take him down with a minute left in the round. I transition to half guard and then to side control. Near the end of the round I try a kimura but the round ends. I feel confident that I won that round. I need to avoid his bombs in the next round or I could get caught and lose if I get sloppy. 2nd round - The round starts out slow for the fist 30 seconds as we exchange a few jabs. I get in close and hit him with an elbow, then a right that stuns him and I land a clean straight left on his jaw and he drops!!!! I win by knockout!!!! I improve to 27-11-1. |

I start out firing rights and elbows. I cut him under his right eye with an elbow and he is hurt badly under his right eye. I see the bruise begin to grow as I continue to punish him. It seems like his eye is starting to close and I start using it as a bullseye. He tries for a takedown and I block. Before he can step back I step into him with a right and he drops straight down. He is out. I win with a knockout!!! I improve to 28-11-1!!! |

It's frustrating that it seems like I can forget about going for a submission. Once I hit the PPV events it seems that I have zero chance in submitting someone. I have to get their stamina too low and even they they escape. At that point I usually end up with a flash KO. I went back to my old style of being a standup fighter because of that. I will strill try for a submission if I have a chance but I am not expecting one. |

They want me to have a rematch with Frank Edgar. I was thinking about going with Gray Maynard but the Edgar fight would be a co main event. I agree to that fight. I hope to have the same result. |

Time to ignore all outside offers and focus on this fight. He is going to be tough and I have to keep my focus. Week 1: Light cardio training Week 2: Rest Week 3: Sparring; poor performance working on my grappling and kicks; need to get the title shot anticipation out of my head and focus Week 4: Rest Week 5: Game plan submissions Week 6: moderate strength training Week 7: Rest Week 8: Rest Week 9: Pre fight interview UFC 195 at London, England The Card Undercard Chael Sonnen (36-21-1) vs. Michael "The Count" Bisping (27-18) Mauricio "Shogun" Rua (31-15-2) vs. Luiz "Banha" Cane (23-15) Efrain "Hecho En Mexico" Escudero (24-7) vs. Spencer "The King" Fisher (34-11) Main Card Fabricio "Val Cavalo" Werdum (27-17) vs. Stefan "Skyscraper" Struve (41-13) Anderson "The Spider" Silva (36-15) vs. Dan "Hendo" Henderson (33-20-1) Co Main Event Frank "The Answer" Edgar (28-10) vs. BJ "The Prodigy" Penn (19-8) Main Event Diego "Nightmare" Sanchez (31-12) vs. Kenny "The Kid" Davis (29-11-1) My Match 1st round - It starts out poorly as I land a couple kicks but he catches me off balance with a right and I stumble. He takes advantage and takes me down and passes my guard. I try to get out and he gets my back. I eventually get to my feet but he still has my back. After 30 second of blocking all his attempts to take me down the referee split us apart. He again takes me down with ease and tries an arm triangle but I escape. I get back to my feet and land a few solid punches, they seem to slow him down. He takes me down again as the roung ends. Not a round that I won. 2nd round - I try to stay on my feet and we start exchanging some big blows. He again takes me down and I escape. I knocked him down nead the end of the round but he gets back up. He takes me down near the end of the round but nothing comes of it. Another round that I am not confident about. I have hurt him with some of my punches, I just need to avoid his better. 3rd round - My longest fight in a while. Early in the round he takes me down and I am in trouble as he mounts. I try to escape but am having trouble getting out. He tries a kimura and I escape that but then he tries an arm triangle and I have nothing left to escape and eventually tap. I blew my chance with a tap out. I fall to 29-12-1. |

I can't dwell on tapping out in the title fight. I have to push forward and hope to earn another title shot later. Time to get right back on the whores. Week 1: Light speed training I am asked to take a fight on short notice and I agree, though I don't know that short notice means what he thinks it means as it is 13 weeks away. I will be facing BJ Penn. Week 2: Rest Week 3: Sparring; focus on kicks and grappling Week 4: Rest Week 5: Gameplan submissions Week 6: American Kick Boxing Academy to work on a right back kick; almost nailed it Week 7: Rest Week 8: Light cardio training Week 9: Rest Week 10: Moderate strangth training Week 11: Rest Week 12: Sparring; focus on kicks and grappling Week 13: Rest Week 14: Rest UFC 197 The Card Undercard Dustin "Mclovin" Hazelett (23-17) vs. Mike "Quick" Swick (22-18) Mauricio "Shogun" Rua vs. Luiz "Banha" Cane (24-15) Andrei "The Pitbull" Arlovski (26-22) vs. Fabricio "Val Vacalo" Werdum (27-18) Main Card Demian Maia (25-12) vs. Dan "Hendo" Henderson (33-21-1) Kenny "The Kid" Davis (29-12-1) vs. BJ "The Prodigy" Penn (19-9) Co Main Event Diego "Nightmare" Sanchez (32-12) vs. Frank "The Answer" Edgar (29-10) Main Event Vitor "The Phenom" Belfort (28-11) vs. Anderson "The Spider" Silva (37-15) My Match 1st round - I start him out with a few shots to the head and that backs him off a bit. Then a few leg kicks and body kicks to wear him down. He catches me with a right tht gets my attention, I have to be more careful. He shoots but I sprawl and block the takedown. I land an elbow that buts him then a right and straight left. He is bleeding badly now as I use the cut over his eye as a bullseye. He tries to come forward but I catch him with a straight rightthat rocks him, then a left that knocks him down stunned. I jump on him with ground and pound and I keep firing uintil the ref pulls me off for the TKO victory. I improve to 30-12-1. |

I will be in a rematch with Clay Guida. Odd choice of opponents but whatever it takes. Unfortunately it will be in UFC 199 as I was hoping to somehow make it onto UFC 200. Week 1: Light speed training Week 2: Rest I have been given a camp invitation to work on a left flicking jab. Nailed it a couple levels. (seems to have been weeks 3 and 4) Week 5: Rest Week 6: Another camp invitation to work on the jab, nail it. Week 7: Rest Week 8: Light cardio training Week 9: Rest Week 10: Gameplan submissions Week 11: Rest UFC 199 The Card Undercard Kenny "The Kid" Davis (30-12-1) vs. Clay "The Carpenter" Guida (33-21-1) Efrain "Hecho En Mexico" Escudero (25-7) vs. Kenny "KenFlo" Florian (22-13) Dustin "Mclovin" Hazelett (24-17) vs. Mike "Quick" Swick (22-19) Main Card Anderson "The Spider" Silva (37-16) vs. Dan "Hendo" Henderson (33-22-1) Frank Mir (25-20) vs. Stefan "Skyscraper" Struve (42-13) Co Main Event Frank "The Answer" Edgar (29-11) vs. BJ "The Prodigy" Penn (19-10) Main Event Yoshihiro Akiyama (29-9-2) vs. Demian Maia (26-12) My Match 1st round - I started with a right and then a left. I back him off a bit and then I come at him with a flurry of shots and I open him up above and below his right eye and it is looking bad. Then I go to the body and legs. I want him tied and limping. I shoot and take him down and transition at will. I get side control and hit him with knees to the body and a few shots to the head. I try a kimura but he escapes. We get back to our feet and I land a few more body kicks and take him down near the end of the round. He is tired and bloodied. I won that round easily. 2nd round - I start out withmore body blows and then take him down. I wear him out on the ground but I try an ill advised submissiona nd he escapes and gets back to his feet but he s looking very shaky. He fires a left which I sidestep and the land a right square on his temple and he drops and is out cold. He isn't even up yet as they are announcing the result. I improve to 31-12-1, it felt good to get the win and to dominate the fight like that on my feet and on the ground. |

Looks like I will be missing UFC 200 and will be a co main event on UFC 201 as I will face Frank Edgar. This may be a winner get a shot at the title fight. I focus on that cut and open up one under his eye as well with rights and elbows. I return to the body and legs to wear him down. I take himdown near the end of teh round and try a kimura which I almost get but he escapes. The round ends with me havig mounted him and landing a few punches. I feel like that round was mine and mine alone. 2nd round - I land a couple of shots and he starts to get desperate as he begins going for the head kicks and one almost catches me. After he tries another I take him down and transition to a mount and start to ground and pound. Soon he is not defending himself and the ref pulls me off him for the TKO. I improve to 32-12-1!!! I fight Diego Sanches (33-12) for the title in the main event for UFC 203. I need to prepare better and train harder and stay focused. I can do this! Week 1: Light cardio training Week 2: Rest Week 3: Sparring; still trying to get grappling to the next level, I seem t keep sliding much faster now as I am getting older Week 4: Rest Week 5: Light strength training Week 6: Rest Week 7: Sparring; work on grapple and now striking Week 8: Rest Week 9: Light speed training Week 10: Rest Week 11: Sparring; working on striking Week 12: Rest Week 13: Prefight interview UFC 203 The Card Undercard Thiago "Pitbull" Alves (25-23) vs. Mike "Quick" Swick (24-19) Anderson "The Spider" Silva (37-17) vs. Michael "The Count" Bisping (27-19) Fabricio "Val Cavalo" Werdum (29-19) vs. Gabriel "Napao" Gonzaga (25-20) Main Card BJ "The Prodigy" Penn (19-11) vs. Nate Diaz (20-15) Demian Maia (27-12) vs. Alan "The Talent" Belcher (33-13-1) Co Main Event Vitor "The Phenom" Belfort (29-12) vs. Chael Sonnen (38-21-1) Main Event Diego "Nightmare" Sanchez (33-12) vs. Kenny "The Kid" Davis (32-12-1) My Match 1st round - I prove that I was not even worthy of being in the ring. Started out okay with a couple strikes landing then he tied me up and threw me down to the canvas. He then threw a kimura on me and I had to tap before my shoulder popped. He submitted me in under a minute and a half and earned the submission of the night for that. I drop to 33-13-1. |

I need to pound someone into the ground after that fight to get my frustrations out. I will get yet another fight with Frank Edgar. He will pay for my failure. Week 1: Rest Week 2: Moderate cardio training Week 3: Rest Week 4: Sparring; focus on striking Week 5: Rest Week 6: Light strength training Week 7: Rest Week 8: Sparring; focus on strike defending Week 9: Rest My Match 1st round - I start out firing like mad and open him up but I get a little too lazy and he lands a couple strikes that get my attention. I work the body a litttle and then take him down. I land a few strikes frmo the top but can't get to a dominant position and theround ends with me in his guard. I won that round but don't want to get careless. 2nd round - I land a kick to the body and he hits me with a hard right that catches me off guard and I stumble. He charges in for an attack thinking he has me and I land an elbow to hisjaw that stuns him then a follow up right that drops him like a brick. I win via knockout!!!! I improve to 33-13-1. I get one more shot at the title. I need to make this one pay off. |

Fight Forty Eight
My third shot at the title. The first two did not end well. I want to at least put up a strong fight and not go down in flames this time. Week 1: Light speed training Week 2: Rest Week 3: Sparring; focus on strike defending and kicks Week 4: Rest Week 5: Light cardio training Week 6: Rest Week 7: Sparring; focus on striking Week 8: Rest Week 9: Light strength training Week 10: Rest Week 11: Gameplan submission Week 12: Prefight interview Time to see if the hard work has paid off. I have to focus and try to avoid the takedown. If I can rock him early to get his attention it may help my cause. UFC 207 My Match 1st round - Startsout poorly as I leave myself open for a strike that knocks me off balance and to the canvas. Before I can react he is one me. He passes guard and mounts. I try to escape and he gets my back but I get to my feet. After little action we are seperated. I used up a lot of energy there. I land a hard left that cuts him and a couple more strikes that back him off. He senses trouble and comes in for a takedown but I block it against the cage. He leans on me against the cage for a while but nothing happens and we are separated again. I land a few more hard shots and he is bleeding badly. He pins me against the cage and throws me o the canvas. He throws a kimura on me and I have to tap with just 8 seconds left in the round. Frustrating as I fall to 33-14-1 and I can't seem to beat him. |

That one frustrated me even more because of the events that led to the final takedown. After the ref split us apart the last time when the fight resumed I couldn't see the initial action as the ref was still in the foreground. As he finally faded off scren I was being thrown down. |

(ooc)Calling it a night for the dynasty. Going to jump on my light heavyweight career for a couple fights. That guy is a beast that just pounds people into the dirt (also aided by what I have learned from my first two careers, including this one).(/ooc)

I'll try to get this going again this week.
Had played my other character lately and finished his career. Wondering what you have to do to make it to the HoF though. That character won the ligh theavyweight title twice then moved up to heavyweight and won that. The last loss of his career was when he lost the light heavyweight title (after the first time winning it) and then went on to win about 15 in a row to close out his career. Was 19-9 at one point and finished out his career 44-10 and never went to the scorecard. |
