Hmmm notice that Eagle has written down the unvotes in his vote tally. Time travel and keeping track of past votes = oh noes? Discuss!

Only about half checked in. Hope to see people showing up as work finishes up. I'm happy we're playing again and eager to see what zaniness EF has in store.

Oh crap, I didn't think of that. I was just thinking that someone was keeping an accurate tally, not thinking that the mod was.

Yeah, I agree there's a serious chance that going back in time resets the vote to that point so we need to keep an eye on the vote tally at all times. Good catch.

Schmidty wrote the UTR book before NTN even knew there was a radar to fly under. Or that he could fly. Or that.

Could be that he borrowed it from the way Cassy counts votes over at BGG; however, I bet there is a non-zero chance of this:

I dislike Day 1 votes when there is nothing to really go on. I think there is a chance the wolves might not even know they are wolves yet.

Why do you think that GE? Seems like their identities would be pretty set given the fiction, and in the rules.

I wonder if the time travel happens if the bad guys find Doc. That would make sense, right, the "accidental" hero?

I was thinking about that too, or maybe if he's a lynch candidate as well - sort of he can't be killed in the present time and has a one-off to time travel? Or maybe he can only be killed by a certain ability or something like that.

If it is a live-saving power, I could see it triggering a conversion or something.

Hopefully more people check in while I'm at hockey.. solid chance someone who has a couple of votes will vault to the top with the +3 for not voting. Something to consider when looking at the vote count later on, at the very least.

My thought process is that we all start out as vanilla villagers and then perhaps we go back into time to get our roles. This could be wrong though. Maybe the wolves can have certain conditions to convert someone if we go back in time.

In a town where everyone knows each other's business you are shocked to see a Jag rolling through town. Who on earth is driving a Jag? You swear there was something odd looking in the back...

You know, EF might just be keeping track of the votes to make sure everyone puts down a vote at one point. I'm inclined to take the more paranoid stance though.

My flimsy reasoning is that he is piling onto a guy who hasn't shown up yet (giving that player 6 votes).

It is an interesting vote, going from 2-2-1-1-1-1 to 3-2-1-1-1 rather than another person with 1 to 2 (not counting the self votes from people who haven't voted).

I can feel myself pinging all of you by trying to explain this, but I failed to take Narc's switch to Schmidty into account. Note the sequence below:

Without Narc's vote, I thought I was adding a third two-vote candidate. With Narc's vote (which turned one 2-2 race into another 2-2 race), I hopped on one of the 2 with 2 votes.

Welp, we are moving towards deadline and it is really quiet. And we are missing a bunch of votes, which is going to make this a bad start for the village more then likely.

i am a bit worried at the moment...3 being the lynch total isnt good since there are so many non voters that will all be also at 3...ties are clearly NOT something we want, but i am not ready to move onto schmidty on day one.

As much as I hate voting off someone blind and the consequences that may mean, I also hate voting off active players on day one. So I can see the argument for not voting off Schmidty, or whoever, and I often make it. But I'd rather have an active game with a bunch of vocal participants.

Yeah, I also know that Mau will come back and play in the next game if he is voted out day one. Schmisty I am not so sure about.(He might not play again regardless but hey it is worth a shot)
