Why have the Cowboys never brought back their 60s/70s blue jerseys? Not the throwbacks with the white shoulders, but the solid blue. These ones with the outline around the numbers...just not attractive.

On second thought, his right knee looks down to me before the ball crossed the line.

Nah, broke the plane - its basically even. They called it a TD, they'll keep it as a TD and it would be ubsurd to overturn.

I put a large amount of money on the Lions to cover the -4.5 spread. Even if they score in 2 minutes to regain the lead, it would be 26-22. I guess I have to hope for a FG, overtime, then a Lion TD to win

Ok. Time for the national media to pay a little attention the the Niners.

Wow!

If the Raiders win today, who would have guessed a combined 9-3 for the bay area teams.

Love Linehan but he has called a terrible game. I think this Lions team is about what I thought before the season, 8-8/9-7. We just are not consistent enough and Stafford has a long ways to go still. Niners look good and should win the West while being a problem for whoever in the playoffs.

Really? You think they go 3-7 or 4-6 to finish the year? (assuming they lose this, no matter what I wrote in the Madden thread, it aint over yet)

They have a tougher schedule, but I still think they'll get to 10 and move on to the playoffs.

So why did the Lions decide to bench their big play receiving RB at the end when it was obvious they needed a big play and had to pass? I'm talking about Best obviously. He was the team's #2 WR on the day and they benched him at the end it seems.

No, he's sitting on the bench with a huge leg brace on. They are clearing a line of vision for him to call plays.

Also, Harbaugh and Schwartz almost got in a fight after the game. Pretty crazy scene. Schwartz was going at him hard.

That's Jim Harbaugh though. It's what makes him a good coach. It's his team against the world and he doesn't give a fuck who they piss off.

I watched the replay quickly, what exactly did he do? All I saw was some celebrating and Schwartz losing his cool. I don't think Harbaugh did anything that deserved that reaction unless I missed something.

They have to do more than look for big plays on every down. Sure, a 15 yard pass is a first down, but so is a few 4 yard plays. You have three plays to get 10 yards... use them.

I had hope when they drafted Leshoure that they would try running the ball a bit more consistently, but they seemed to put too much into the one player. Best is a big play threat, but not consistent. Harrison is a good backup to Best. Morris only plays because he's apparently the only back who can pass block. Williams... who knows.

This game is what I feared...

And what was that exchange between Schwartz & Harbaugh?

I'm partial as a 49ers fan, however, I hope the Lions and 49ers play again in the NFC Championship. So long as the flags ease up and Alex Smith becomes a decent starting quarterback, that has the chance to be an epic matchup.

I don't think he deserved to be chased down 40 yards like he was. But he sort of pushed Schwartz out of the way to keep...galloping...down the field.

I really didn't see that. I just figured it was him yelling "Wooo" after the hand slap. I really don't think he pushed him.

Schwartz needs to get over it. He should be worried more about his d-line and how the Niners exposed them all game long on the ground or maybe how his team should no interest in the final minute with the ball and a chance to win.

FWIW Bill Cowhler said he would have done the same thing Schwartz did.

IMO Harbaugh acted like an ass. Show some class and shake the other teams coaches hand, then go celebrate in the locker room. Act like you have been there before.

Jim Harbaugh is an asshole.

He was an asshole at Michigan
He was an asshole with the Bears and Colts
He was an asshole cussing out the refs as a guest on his brother's sideline
He was an asshole at Stanford
He's still an asshole. Him acting like he won the Super Bowl and cussing up a storm probably shouldn't even be news anymore.

Yeah, I don't know. When everyone was whining about the Jets celebrating to much when they beat the Pats last year I didn't have a problem with it. And I'm the largest Jets hater in the country.

He won, he's allowed to get emotional and celebrate, I much prefer when people get caught up in the emotion post game, as opposed to acting like they already won it pre-game(Jets). Schwartz should just walk his loser ass back to the locker room and get ready for next week.

Just look at Belichick, when he loses he's so pissed about it he just about doesn't utter a word for days. Doubt he gives a shit what the other team is doing during his walk of shame.

+1

Also, if Harbaugh had done that in front of Belichek payback would be coming down the road.

The best way for Schwartz to get revenge is kicking their asses up and down the field the next time they play.

Wasn't Schwartz yelling 'Incomplete MFer at Dez Bryant a few weeks ago?'

Sounds like someone that dishes it out, but doesn't like it given back to him.

Yeah, that was a stupid call. Not that I'm complaining.

What's worse than Schwartz acting like a bitch after he loses? Pats defenders celebrating after they let Dallas drive and score the go ahead field goal.

Color me as not understanding the unwritten rules of the game. I did not realize that a coach isn't allowed to celebrate after a game. Yes when I saw Harbaugh jumping around my first thought was 'seriously? Act like you've been there before'. the second thought I had was 'Well I guess that is what makes Harbaugh Harbaugh'

Then I saw the clip of Schwartz chasing him down the field, IMO, Schwartz is the one making an ass of himself there.
