I don't doubt for a minute that this is a bittersweet moment for the Rahns and I do feel for them, but I think this is a better day for everyone involved, except for maybe whose initials are J.S. or commonly uses a screen name that rhymes with "Suez."
Without pointing fingers, I think .400 was a symbol for some very unfortunate things in text sims. There was a personality involved that really brought an ugly element to the genre, and I think the company "culture" was a negative influence on the people involved. I certainly don't mean offense by that. But I think OOTP is better without .400 and I think Arlie is better off without the pressures that came with .400 too. Right now, BBCF is a heck of a lot better than TPF was at launch. Maybe it's because Arlie's better, but I think it has more to do with lessons learned. Based on things that were done and said, I would never have spent a single dime on another .400 SS game. I still have some minor beefs that I'll probably never feel real well about, but I'll give BBCF a shot and judge it on its own. I wouldn't have done that for a .400 game. From an outsider, it sounds like Farrah and Arlie are a lot better off creatively (and hopefully financially) without .400, so I say good riddance. Close that door and move on. |

Are the prices different than what is posted on the website? An afternoon at an ice rink does not cost me $24.95...so something must be wrong with the Face Off Hockey price.

I wish nothing but the best for everyone who was involved in .400 and I think they are better off without .400 than they were with it. I don't think the demise of .400 is anything to get wistful about. I think it's time to close that chapter and move on to a brighter future. If I didn't make that clear originally, I apologize. |

Because I can't afford to spend 35 bucks at the moment and I remember it fondly. FBCB will be mine soon, but I miss my CAD Radford team.

This still makes me laugh. 3 pages of Farrah saying it's over and he asks about an update to the game. Outstanding comedy.

Thanks for bringing this back to life
Honestly, there isn't a ton to talk about. Joe and I just went separate ways and both of us seem to be doing pretty well now. As to CAD, FBCB is such a better game that I wouldn't even bother. Take the time you would have spent waiting for a league to be created in CAD, go mow a few neighborhood lawns and then take that money and buy FBCB |

I plan to take that advice, aside from the mowing of lawns. I'll just set aside some cash from my next check as a little birthday gift to me.

I don't think you can actually buy it. I just downloaded the available file and ran it. So, I guess more accurately, the demo works.

Here is my code for it. If it works go at it. I havent played it for a very long time.
Pulled Pretty sure its not for sale so I dont feel bad giving out this code. Didnt think it was a big deal since its not for sale but someone advised me I risk getting banned for it. If someone wants it just PM me. Last edited by jbergey22 : 03-20-2012 at 05:36 PM. |

I still own the pre-elicense version and would be glad to give it away to anyone bold enough to play it Let me look and see if I have all the old codes and if anyone wants a copy - just post here and I'll see what I can do.

Back in the day I did purchase the game but no clue where the code would be. I would be interested in a code Arles if you locate them. I spent hours playing CAD back in the day.
