I have sent out the Team PM's for the Race portion of the game. You may begin communicating with your teammate via PM. You may send in what skill you want your 2 points added to at any point up until the first deadline. Once sent there is no changing. If you don't send it in you missout on the 2 points.
To clarify how the race will work. I will roll up results for the events (with times being determined based on results). Skill and effort will give you a better chance to succeed at the events but it is a random roll based upon those numbers so that does not guarantee success (anything can happen in the race). A combination of the event rolls and the travel rolls will determine which team is in the lead and how far back the other teams are. (all this and I haven't gotten to the werewolf part yet ) |

EF, will we know how skills from each partner will effect a final result? Will one person bring the whole team down? Or can one person boost?

so say team A puts in like 3 effort and team B doesn't (they're equal on everything else), that doesn't mean that team A will automatically beat team B? Just that they have a better shot at winning?

I would think that effort + skill = final number to compare. But if it's an event where both players have to participate, what I'm wondering if only one player's numbers are used or both added together or even each individually.
And each person has effort points. |

For events where both players participate (the non road block events) both players' numbers will come into play. The individual skills will come into play even more during the roadblocks where it is just one person performing the task.
To answer DV's question. The numbers given will be a base but there will still be a roll done to determine the results. Basically, being better gives you a better chance to win but nothing is automatic. To give everyone a baseline on the skills. Everyone had 20 points randomly distributed between the 5 skills (the average skill would be 4). There is no max per se (though it is 16 as the minimum for each skill is 1 so in theory one could have 1,1,1,1,16). |

Werewolf Game On!!!
All roles have been sent. We will have a two day period for day one with the first deadline being 9:00 PM EST on Thursday for the first leg of the race (will announce that shortly). The lynch vore deadline is 10:00 PM EST on Thursday. Nothing will happen in the race which should affect the lynch voting (no special WW related roles). The only reason for the split deadlines is just to give me time to write up the race results and still giving a timeline for the lynch voting. What is the over/under on the number of times that I have to clear my inbox in this game? |

The teams stand in a line along "The Strip" in Vegas with the famous Welcome to Las Vegas sign as a backdrop. The race is on!!!
As you stand on the Strip in Vegas you are given the following instructions... You are beginning at The Sign in Las Vegas. You must get to LAX and fly to your next destination. You are given a clue on where you are to fly. It is a picture of Christ the Redeemer (Cristo Redentor). You have a clue to the Detour. Dig it out: A simulated gold digging/panning challenge. Requires physical. - A dig site has been created in which gold can be panned from the site - Using traditional gold pan techniques the team must find 8 ounces of gold - Could take a while if digging in the wrong location (random) - Closer to the pit stop if you can finish quickly it can be an advantage. Pump it out: Deliver a load of gasoline to a specified location. Requires Mental and Travel. - Teams will start at a given location where loaded trucks will be stationed. - Need to get from that location to an address that will be found inside the truck. - Get to that location and deliver the gas (pump). - Travel time required and finding an address but if a team can find their location quickly it could be a big advantage. You have a clue to the Roadblock. Who feels like they have stopping power? Requires Physical. Teams Begin!!!!

Please let me know if there are any questions. There is a lot to this game so I expect there to be many questions as we start.
I am going to approach this just like some of the dungeon crawls. The more details that your team gives me about how you want to approach the leg the better it may turn out for you. |

Is the following from the night kill portion ". If they are successful their target for the night will lose all of their extra effort points and advances skills and will play the game out only with their brain." also applicable to lynches?

On the werewolf side of things, with 20 players, 15-5 setup is usually most common. However, since there is only 3 villager roles, 16-4 is possible.

EF, I've never seen the show. For instructions, would be doing something like this?
Danny decides to dig out the clue to the detour. Afterwards, Danny used physical to get roadblock clue. Then both Danny and Mauboy fly to the bahamas? |

Sorry, the game has begun. Would love to have you for another game though if you want to join the next one. Quote:
Yes, it counts for anyone that has been "removed" from the werewolf portion of the game. A villager may still post in thread and PM with their Race teammate after they are eliminated from there werewolf portion if their Race team is still alive in the game. A wolf may still PM with his Race team and even his wolf buddies afgter being removed from the werewolf portion of the game as long as his Race team is still alive as well. Once a player is eliminated from both halves they are then completely out of the game. Quote:
That would be acceptable. It's up to the team to determine just how detailed they want to be. I am hoping to make it like the dungeon crawl and teams may learn more as they play about just how much detail is good and what may or may not help. Sorry, this one is all on one skill for the 2 points. |

Teams may copy me in their PM's. It is entirely up to them.
For my entertainment value I encourage it. Note to wolves, be careful which team you are responding to as you may have two different "teams" to respond to. |

Clarification:
The deadline for 9 PM EST tomorrow night is for all orders for the leg. Give as many details as you would like and I will process accordingly. You won't know until you see the writeup just what the various challenges involve but feel free to give details of how you want to try to position yourselves in the game (when you purchase tickets, how you want to approach getting from one location to another, do you want to helop another team or hinder them, etc...). I am going to add a few more details to the detours so that you may plan those challenges (the roadblocks will still be a bit of a mystery). |

Just to make sure I have this right, we're submitting:
Travel Plan -- detailed description of where we're going and how we're getting there Detour -- Choose one team member and which activity they perform Roadblock -- Choose one team member Or am I missing stuff? |

So can one team member do both the detour and the roadblock or does it have to be split up?

Both team members perform the detour, you choose which of the two that you want to try. For the roadblock you select one team member to perform. You can give details for the travel and attempt to add details for approaching the other challenges as well. |

Well I imagine the major difference will be nobody's going to vote their teammate. I don't see anything smart we can do though.

We'll have to hope we don't end up with a wolf/wolf team, as that would be hard to find through any voting records, since everyone will be protecting their teammate. I have a couple thoughts about what wolves might get up to, but I'm going to wait and use it to vote if I see it rather than give them a warning.

Did you have something interesting in mind? For me, unless I see something unusual and suspicious (which doesn't normally happen), I usually (when I played regularly) tend to vote those who: 1. Don't contribute much (I like to discuss strategy) 2. Aren't too new (one day pass) 3. Made it deep into the last game / didn't die early in the last game (sense of fairness for D1 anyway) Since people who are lynched can still play along in this game, my list loses some relevance. |
