Rest of your statement I agree with. But this isnt true. McCarron is just awful out there. His arm is weak, he isnt making good decision, and he is turnover prone.

Do the Bengals have anyone else they can go to as QB?

Wenning is the backup and Dalton is inactive, so no.

I sick of the NFL defending their calls. This is bullshit.

I have to say that the refs not allowing anything at all is not helping the tension in the game. It's not going to be a clean 4th that's for sure.

Yeah, I have no idea. Almost that same exact thing as the last one.

Also, if it's not a penalty because he had become a runner, how did they then not rule it a fumble!? (Edit: Sorry, thought it was ruled an incomplete pass, not down by contact. I should pay better attention...)

Shhhhh, Jim, we wouldn't want you to mention anything about leading with the head and concussions...that would be bad for business.

Hits like that should be why rules exist.

Totally agree with you here.

This no call is exactly why the NFL is a fucking joke. The Bengals safety had a hit in the first half was after 3 steps, and didn't involve him leading with his helmet.

Funny thing is that 10 years ago that would have been an incredible football play. Hell, that was the whole name of the game for generations.

But it's supposed to have changed. I saw Bucs players getting penalized relentlessly by the Refs for helmet-to-helmet hits (Daschon Goldson) and now the Steelers get a free pass for it? I don't understand what the NFL is trying to accomplish here.

We're going to have a riot before this is over.

And your potential AFC Divisional Quarterbacks: The Undead Corpse of Peyton Manning, Landry Jones, Alex Smith, and Tom Brady with a Zombie Offensive Line.

Oh yeah, 120+ penalty yards and the calls have been going against you all night long.

I actually didn't think you had to "turn around" for it not to be a penalty. Anyways, Simms and Nance are fucking awful.

That's generally how it's called. If you don't look for the ball it's assumed you're playing the man and not the ball which will draw the penalty.

Never would have been called in the regular season. He lightly brushed his arm.

Only if you impact the player. Having to go over the top of him because it's underthrown isn't part of that.

The defender was pushing him back and he didn't look for the ball. That's going to get called pretty much every time.

I get that Burfict has a reputation, and probably a deserved one from what I remember of him at ASU, but they're focusing on the wrong hit in the continuing analysis of whether it was legal.

McCarron may have passed Tebow as the worst quarterback to win a playoff game.
