Going to wait on my vote until people check in. If someone doesn't, they get the vote. Pretty much the usual day 1 for me.

What is the normal ratio of wolves to villagers at the start of a game?

Probably looking at 16 villagers, 4 wolves, plus the "hidden wolf" (forget what it's called this game.

Well it's less than an hour before I'll leave from work.. not sure whether or not the kids will give me much time to get on again tonight... sooo, I think it's time to start doubling up votes.
VOTE RPI-FAN He incorrectly stated that oliegirl had not checked in and used that as his reasoning for voting for her. |

Normally you will have something like 2 wolves per 8-10 villagers, but as you add more players you often times have more creative rule sets that could vary the wolf number a bit more. Assuming all of the roles are listed in the rules and no hidden roles, it doesn't seem like there are too many of those in this game.
I would say 3-4 wolves is a pretty safe number this size. I would more likely lean to 4 wolves if there isn't any true conversion mechanism. Also one other note, its usually against the rules to edit or delete posts in the Werewolf games. If you make a mistake or mispell or mistype something, just correct it by posting a new post below it with the correction. |

Voting later as well as I have a softball double-header at 6. Should be back at 8 pm. Although the wild, random voting of day one kind of sucks!

I see that of the folks who haven't checked in, most are newbies or returnees who I don't want to vote on Day 1, except Chief Rum.

Pass, I'm pretty sure that I recall Rum saying the start time was tough for him (double shift, or something like that?) - it resonated because I knew I was going to have some timing issues with this game as well. For better or worse, I decided to leave him out of voting consideration today because of that.
Disclaimer - this thread should not be construed as any kind of defense of Chief Rum, other than to suggest that I've paid attention to previous posts in this thread. Past performance does not guarantee future results. Batteries not included. Voting for Hoopsguy as a result of this post may cause lung disease. |

Dola (can't get those in on more active days) - Chief Rum posted about his schedule in Post #7, although it sounds like Saturday was his most challenging day, with the double shift. So disregard my previous concerns about his schedule today.

Voting CR is unwise. He is, in my opinion, the best villager around.
Unvote Telle Vote Pass And I think Pass agrees, or at least thinks similarly. I also don't like the RPI voting since the man's just come back to WW. Let him make Day 2 at least. |

Some thoughts:
I'm not a fan of people changing their day 1 vote (barring a reveal). It just seems like it creates too much interference. I agree with Barkeep that RPI and CR are not ideal candidates, but I'm not sure I know what the ideal day 1 candidate is. Chief Rum is notoriously quiet and even absent for long periods. |

I'm not sure what to think about the RPI movement behind my initial vote. I don't think it is big enough to consider a huge "runaway" but I was suprised to see him picking up three votes before anyone else had one.
I think it was Cronin who made a comment about changing Day 1 votes - my thoughts on this is that they are more-or-less random until some point where they aren't. That doesn't always happen on Day 1, but every once in awhile the wolves have to generate some movement to save one of their own. If I have a reason to believe that I'm picking up some kind of alliances then I absolutely think a villager should change his vote to test out his theory. But I don't have that today, so for now I'll sit tight and watch to see what happens. |

NeonChaos' vote is pretty suspicious, but with so many votes on the table, he had to know that no run-away was going to happen, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for now.
Last time I played, CR was barely around the first 3/4 of the game, so no one suspected him. He was a wolf. It's more likely that his schedule is the consistent thing, rather than the role, but it's something I'll keep in mind. I want to make it more than a 2 way-race, so people really have to make decisions, so VOTE ST. CRONIN |
