It was quite funny reading that Heroes thread and then getting to the next page and seeing that, especially as the post time was the pretty much about my time. It would have been quite funny if that had influenced the vote |

I think people react to guests alot in games in suspicious ways a little too quickly (it happens alot actually), but I'm not quite sure why. I know I personally try to keep up with the game when I travel if I can by reading on my phone, but I can't log in on my phone, so I am sure I show up as a guest when I do that. I can't be the only one that does that either. |

OK folks, I have a few hours in between Easter Sunday family rituals so I'm going to get to work on getting roles out. They'll come in fits and spurts so bear with me.
I will officially close sign-ups when I've gotten everyone's PM out that is currently in the game. |

I love how Render says to post things in blue, but uses Navy as the color. It amuses me, it does.

I was able to watch the first 40 minutes of disc 1, and it seems as good a starting place as any. Where does the miniseries start? And where does season 1 start? |

So what happens this first day/night? We don't seem to have much information to go off yet.
No lynch vote? |

Did you see the destruction of Caprica? If not then you definitely need to stop and watch the mini-series. 46 minutes (or whatever that is) is an excellent episode, but the world building of the mini-series is very important.

Does the vote on Jackal count? It doesn't look like a legal vote to me.

Checking in...even though im a little confused on what the deal is here. Usually the Cyclons would only have to have a 1:1 ratio...now they have to kill all of us? Does that mean they have as many as us?

Presumably this is to do with the "FInd Earth" victory condition, so even if there's only one human left he could theoretically win by finding Earth. I don't really know how much I'm going to be able to be around today. I'm currently on a dial-up and I'm also feeling pretty sick. Hopefully I'll get a decent connection this evening (my time)/morning (US time). However I'd better get a vote out quickly. Obviously I've got nothing to go on. There hasn't been any discussion. I'm not going to be able to create much discussion either. There's one (illegitimate) vote on Jackal so the only real choices I have are a) random vote, b) vote for someone who would be dangerous as a wolf or c) add my vote on Jackal (and hope clap votes legitimately) to see if that stirs anything up. I'm not a fan of a) and my argument with b) is that dangerous wolves normally make good villagers. Under the circumstances voting Jackal makes sense to me. It will, hopefully, prevent the usual scattershot day one voting by at least pushing one candidate. I realise that this makes me a suspect for a lynch vote as well but I don't really see any other sensible way to vote under my circumstances. HOpefully I will be able to come back to change my vote if necessary. If not then, well, I've provided the reasoning for my vote. |

It looks like I'll have to see how things look in the morning. 9pm for me is around lunch time. That's when things come to ahead. I'm voting No Lynch for now just to have a vote in.

I can't see how in this game of little information (I have none to start out with, just that I'm human) that lynching someone is to our advantage at this point.

I'm usually a proponent of no lynch on day one, and this time is no different, especially with people going after me on day one yet again.
Vote No Lynch It'll be interesting to see what kind of results we get with everyone being able to move around during night actions. |

I think I've voted no lynch on the first day since the start of my playing. I even voted for it when it wasn't in the rules.
Anyways, human checking in. |

Me too, until last game. Although I guess in that case, I made the vote before I found out you could vote no lynch. Anyway, it's amazing what crazy conversations a weak Day 1 vote will get you. |

I believe most rule sets make no lynch on day 1 at worst a neutral play, and in most scenarios gives the village a slight edge. If somebody can make a case why its a bad play for the village in this game, I'd of course be interested. But I'm going to vote no lynch.

Villagers don't really learn anything until a wolf is killed. A runaway No Lynch vote tells us nothing even once a wolf is killed.

Point taken, but a runaway no lynch most games keeps us up +1 on the scoreboard. I realize these are old arguments, but they perhaps deserve being re-stated. |
