I was thinking more in terms of how the wolves would act if they knew there was a corrupt villager and two unknown villagers on the block - you'd expect that they would have a tendency to vote to protect the corrupt villager - nothing like as overtly as if it was a wolf up there but still. I agree that a villager semi-seer who would root out that sort of thing would be less useful. |

Well today is a beautiful day to be a citizen of Gotham as beautiful as any with all the hope that soon the criminals walking the street will be gone.

Just to let you peops know up front, here is what my anticipated schedule is for this game, so you won't later go, where's? Abe and how come he's not around so much?
Today, Thurs, Fri - Lots of writing during work hours, I have to hack out some articles for online and I'm busy with work - very little stuff during the day Wed - On vacation! Will be in later (after I wake up) and I job interview on the phone at 1, so I i'll be around later, but solidly. Next week - on vacation! If still alive, except me to pop it later (post noon for sure) but be around a lot.

I think it was something like Packer takes the first four days and then Schmidty takes over if Packer is still alive - it would be like a replacement having to be found when a player disappears, except we all know it's going to happen. Or the Batman/Bruce Wayne thing. Although I'm not sure which is which. |

Ok, I get that line of thinking. I would agree it would be kind of random in a silly way if the wolves were unable to find out this info, and possibly a villager role for it, or maybe removing corruption effects somehow (perhaps wolves have a role for corrupting individuals and another to find out citizen roles, that would make some sense). |

Basically, yes - except it will only be 2 days. I will be here until early Friday and then I will be out. IIRC, Schmidty will also be out Friday, so unless I cast an early vote late Thursday or early Friday, there will likely be no vote from us that day (I will determine that when we get there). Granted I could get offed before that and then it wouldn't matter - but don't do that to Schmidty |

Yes, as PF said, it will just transition from one to the other once PF is no longer available. I will let them PM as necessary to facilitate the transition, but otherwise will be like having a replacement player. |

Blah blah villager blah blah blah.
I'm going to vote for an UTR, because that's what I do on day 1. Would rather vote for someone who lasted longer in the last game, out of a sense of fairness. This makes ntn pop out at me, but I did vote for him about seven consecutive day 1s back in the day. MrBug or mauboy would both be okay with me as well. Or any of a few other players, but since they got lynched earlier last game I'd be pretty okay letting them live through day 1. |

Sometimes I just post my thoughts quickly, because what's going on is so quick, and I forget to edit them prior. I've got to get my grammar tighter, sorry dudes.

Are we assuming that the corrupted villagers are known to the mob or is it actually confirmed somewhere?

I didn't think anyone was assuming that - although I guess it's a possibility. I was kind of assuming that they wouldn't be known by the mob. Initially at least. But maybe that's a big assumption as well. |

The fact that the rules state that the role will be corrupted makes me think that the corrupted people start the game that way, it's part of their role. I don't think that "corrupting" is an activity that the mob engage in. Maybe the mob can turn one corrupted person if they find one so that person becomes a fully-fledged wolf. Probably/hopefully not. That's my interpretation of the way the rules are worded anyway. |

"scapegoat"? Really? So you believe JAG is a wolf exploiting your quietness for his own gains? It comes down to playing styles. I realise some people think that posting lots causes unnecessary distraction but in the end I think a lot of people are going to vote early on to try to avoid a game where by day four everyone turns up, posts "bit quiet around here " and then buggers off again. To my mind, avoiding that means voting for the people who have a track record of being quiet, particularly after the first couple of days. |
