I have 65 under contract

Rookie Lookie #2

1.32 - RCB Ben Anderson, Alabama, 22/64; 29/66
2.32 - DE Carson Spatz, Ohio State; 22/64; 29/62
3.32 - WR Jalen Frohbieter, Oklahoma, 29/44; 32/47
4.32 – QB Caden Groff, Augustana, 15/53; 19/53
5.32 – OT Harris Gaylor, Liberty, 29/50; 34/51
6.32 – OG Gino Tapeh, OK State; 18/45; 21/41
7.32 – RB Norm Hawthorne, LA State, 38/53; 42/52

UFAs

C DeWaters, 34/59; 38/59
OG Zach Cunningham, 18/59; 23/60
LB Kim Brown, 20/57; 26/55
LB Harvey McDaniel, 25/53; 29/54

Am I going to have another 2nd round DE bust? Come on Spatz! Tapeh is not looking good for the home team. Anderson looks a little bit better. Will that continue?

Frohbieter is growing! Maybe that will continue!

In order to get to 60 I cut these players

QB Stanley Benton – He was my first draftee and started, and was going to be my primary backup, but he has dropped in ability and I am cutting him and saving some cap dollars.

CB Nicky Swift – I’ve had Swift with me since we started, but he’s been my worst CB and the one inactive every year so it’s time to head on. Another pro contract is saved.

OG Kenyon Nagurski – My worst o line, 6 years as well, but another pro I am cutting.

NT Clifton Cole – One of my oldest and another pro that I am letting go, who is normally on my deactive list.

WR Liam Sorrels – Another pro contract. Been with the team for 6 years and has started. He’s been my primary inactive guy and I am letting him go

That drops me to 60 and I hand out inactives

Week 2 – 27-20 over Detroit

Week 3 – 34-20 over Seattle

Week 4 – 16-9 over Minnesota

Week 5 – 10-13 Arizona

We finish 3-1

Rookie Lookie #3

1.32 - RCB Ben Anderson, Alabama, 22/64; 29/66; 30/65
2.32 - DE Carson Spatz, Ohio State; 22/64; 29/62; 30/60
3.32 - WR Jalen Frohbieter, Oklahoma, 29/44; 32/47; 39/62
4.32 – QB Caden Groff, Augustana, 15/53; 19/53; 19/52
5.32 – OT Harris Gaylor, Liberty, 29/50; 34/51; 34/50
6.32 – OG Gino Tapeh, OK State; 18/45; 21/41; 24/46
7.32 – RB Norm Hawthorne, LA State, 38/53; 42/52; 42/52

UFAs

C DeWaters, 34/59; 38/59; 39/56
OG Zach Cunningham, 18/59; 23/60; 23/64
LB Kim Brown, 20/57; 26/55; 27/54
LB Harvey McDaniel, 25/53; 29/54; 29/57

More falling from Spatz isn’t good. But check out the boom of Frohbieter! He had great numbers with his combines and I was hoping he was a grower not a shower after, and that happened. Nice! That’s a nice boom by Cunningham as well.

I had two booms with a UFA in camp

RB Devin Wheeler, 41/56
DT Kai Perkins, 33/53

I cut these players

QB Corbin Weiss
RB Tommy Hines
C Walter Kormelink
OG Tyrone Hester

DE Dexter Foley – he lost a step in camp and the preseason and he has a red flag so I let him go

LB Silas Whittington
LB Kim Brown

Frohbiter replaces Richardson as my 3rd WR. Anderson will start at nickel this year and then move to CB Willis’s spot. Unlike Burkley, Norton has not busted and is sitting at 82/82.

On the Green Page, we have no one. The QB that dropped is 20/79. If we were allowing trading I would have taken him, kept him years as injury insurance for Rhem, and then traded for a high 1st.

Here’s our first round pick at the 1.32 pick

We’ll be running him out there in the nickel this year with his high picks and then starting next year for Willis after a year of development.

I’m skipping my 2nd busting DE for my 3rd again

Instead of maxing at one or a few places and minimized in others he’s actually very well rounded. I may look to move him into my 2nd role after he develops fully over Zercie although most of my formations start 3 or more WR in my spread offense. He’ll replace Richardson later on. He’s a fun mid-draft guy who has boomed in camp and the preseason. Although maybe not a Zercie is 63/63 to his 62 max barring more growth.

Defense

As you can see, Thomason again leads my team in tackles. It was a down year in sacks, and Sawyer with 7 was my best. Norton and Gilliam were held to 6 each, and Stevenson held to 4. Fontaine just 3.5 sacks and down years for the other stats for him. With 3 FF Fontaine led my team.

Pass Coverage

Thomason also led my team in picks and pasdef with 14. Willis a solid year in his final year for me. Anderson as my nickelback was rocking 1 pick and 3 pasdef and an INT RET TD. FS Weber rocked 12 pasdef and was 2nd on my team.

This was a down year for my defense and my offense. Where was Norton? Where was Rhem? Where was Barber?

The 2026 NFL Offseason

I end the season and I score a 87 more than last year with my Super Bowl Win. Weird

Staff Draft

I retain all of my staff and offer them new deals

We draft 8th

I make no changes to my staff

I have 40 mill under the cap and need 10 for my folks. Do I franchise Mansell? It’s 13.7 mill if I do. I have coming open these folks:

C Bryce Jackson
WLB Junior Gilliam
TE Josiah Derr
TE Frie
TE Hoffman
RT Jack Kurtz
CB Pat Schwake
LT Derek Armstrong
RB Aaron Williams
DT Heinlein
LB Sutton

I don’t think I’ll have enough cash to resign my keys.

I franchise him anyway. I may have a plan...

The 2026 NFL FA Period #1

I make offers to my RFAs – we are now at 48

Leaving this year is DE Henry Sawyer, WR Richard Hall, ILB Edward Raynor, and CB Grayson Willis

Wow. Mansell wants a lot less cash this year.

TE Kerr is too expensive, as is Armstrong. And Gilliam.

I extend C Jackson.

I extend TE Hoffman and Fyie.

I extend RB Mansell by three years.

I extend Phil Sutton and drop his cap hit. I extend CB Schwake Because he’s cheap right now I extend OT Kurtz by two years. I extend Alonzo Stone by a year.

I have 7 mill in cap space. I leave that open for my UFAs

WR Richardson appears to have retired. Not sure why.

We draft 1.28.

I need…

2 WR
DE
2 LB
CB

Now in open spots and I have three backup upgrades possible with

Backup S better than Flannery
Backup 2 LB better than Adam and Baines

For now

And for future starters

OT for Armstrong
TE for Derr

I interview 5 CBs, four OTs and a few LBs and the top TE.

I may wanna chase WR Hall in FA since Richardson retired if he’s cheap enough. I have 6 open spots and 3 open backups and two future starters for 7 draft picks. We’ll see his cost in Week 2

I might wanna tag Gilliam, Derr, or Armstrong next year, but probably just the first two.

Week 1 - I make an offer for Hall as it’s just a bit more than a UFA rookie with a 100,000 signing bonus for three years.

Week 2 – DE Sawyer signs with the Patriots

Week 8 – ILB Raynor signs with Carolina

Week 9 – CB Willis signs.

Week 11 – Hall signs with us

The 2026 NFL Amateur Draft

Picking at 1.1 is Las Vegas again. They take QB Monty Spencer

As a reminder I need

WR
DE
2 LB
CB
Backup S better than Flannery
Backup 2 LB better than Adam and Baines

And for future starters

OT
TE

Our pick at 1.28 has arrived. Who is available?

OLB Bucky McIntyre – Overrated. No thanks!
OLB Omar Brenner – No interview
DE Fernando Shepherd – No interview
OG Norm Schraeder – No interview
OG Aiden Boone – Good bars, no combine scores
OT Kyle Fulcher – Hard to Read, not great bars
OT Tony Turnbull – No interview, better bars
OT Don Cortez – Better bars
CB Chandler Deloach, Very Overrated
CB Randell Menzer – Great potential combines, medium bars, no interview
WR Gene Lyons – No interview, good bars
WR Spencer Galarza – Looks better in the bars, and is a stud returner.

Who do I want?

I go Don Cortez

The 2.28 spot arrives. Who do I like here?

DE Shepherd is still on the board. I like SLB Marco Garcia. RCB Richard Bruce looks great. Do I want to risk a 3rd straight 2nd rounder to a DE? I take Bruce.

3.28 is here

LB Marco Garcia is on the board to I grab him he looks strong. He looks to have fallen and is one of the BAP.

4.28

Who do I like now?

OC Ray Irwin is a stud. If I hadn’t signed my C in the FA Period I’d consider him. I could grab him and move him to OG to replace Banks. The top player other than Irwin is DE Colby Shields. I grab Shields I also think FS Russell Poole has fallen, but Shields is better.

At 5.28 Irwin is off the board. I was hoping he’d be there.

I grab LB Frankie Gleason.

At 6.28 I snatch RB Artie Pollard which is a flyer.

At the 7.28 spot I’m unsure. Hmmmmm…. How about DT Tanner Kinney whom is the best BAP on the board?

Rookie Lookie #1

1.28 - OT Don Cortez, Michigan State; 37/59
2.28 – CB Ricard Bruce, Colorado; 24/62
3.28 – MLB Marco Garcia, Westminster; 28/64
4.28 - DE Colby Shields, Ohio State; 34/71
5.28 – LB Frankie Gleason, Georgia; 24/49
6.28 – RB Artie Pollard, Notre Dame; 33/47
7.28 – DT Tanner Kinney; 20/48

And there we are!

Rookie Lookie #3

1.28 - OT Don Cortez, Michigan State; 37/59; 42/61; 44/64
2.28 – CB Ricard Bruce, Colorado; 24/62; 29/61; 30/62

7.28 – DT Tanner Kinney; 20/48; 24/44; 25/40

Kinney is still dropping and Cortez is still rising. Shields is my first DE in a while that hasn’t busted!

Marco Garcia? Hello boom!

UFAs

ILB Hugh Upshaw, 16/50; 20/49; 20/49

I cut

RB Aaron Williams – Dropped a step from 50/50 to 42/42

WR Richard Hall – He dropped to 34/34.

OT Ian Chambliss

DT Tanner Kinney – Duh

NT Kurt Dylla

WLB Denzel Adam – My worst LB

CB Alonzo Stone – I hate this but he dropped to 39/39

We now have 18 mill in cap space after losing some vets. Should I extend Derr or Gilliam?

Derr wants 63 mil over 5 years

Gilliam wants 40 mill over 4 and his demands have really dropped. I agree to an extension with the WLB and my 2nd best LB

Rookies I am starting

CB Bruce
DE Shields
OT Cortez
LB Garcia at SILB

Schwake is my top nickelback and Liang my dimeback

Here’s my top pick OT Cortez, and this is my first top pick to my o line. Getting a mid 60s OT at the back of the 1st is about as well as you can do given the high profile nature of the position. As you can see he’s well rounded and not a specialist.

Which other rookie will I show you? #2? Or how about my highest rated rookie by potential?

Sure for the potential! Here is The Shields. As you can see he’s better at run stopping than rushing, but he’s fine there as well. He’s a big nasty hitter and good at play diagnosis as well.

On the Green Page? Shields is 5th. He’s our only one on it.

Rookie Investigation

At Rb? Pollard is 6th best by potential.

At OT Cortez is 4th best. The three better were higher picks in the 1st. Three 1sts were taken later that he’s better than.

DE Shields is the 3rd best DE in the draft by potential.

LB Garcia is the best LB in the draft. LB Gleason is 14th best

CB Bruce is the 7th best CB. It was a deep draft for them.

Wanna see something cool?

Here are all safeties in the league sorted by potential. FB Weber is 5th. Thomason has dropped to 59/59 and I may wind up moving Liang over and you can see my three safeties there. I wish I had taken that stud FS Russell Poole that was falling as I could have moved it to SS. Ah well. I had a great draft so no real issues here on my behalf.

Rhem is still the best QB in the league at 87/87. Mansell has crept into the back part of the top 10 at RB. Derr is 3rd. Barber is 2nd. Jackson is 5th. Freitas is 4th, Fontaine is 6th. LB Norton is 3rd.

We need to get our defense and offense back to where they were after down years last year. But I don’t control it so I just have to hope that my guys can do so.

Stats

Offensive

Passing

QB Tony Rhem, 381 of 578, 4567 yards, 40:11, 105.4 QB Rating, 19 sacks

That’s his best year on yards and sacks, and the 40 tosses ties his record. He led the league in most QB stats from yards per completion to rating to TDs. Nicely done!

Rushing

RB Francisco Mansell - 245 for 1216, 4.96 ypc, 7 TDs
QB Tony Rhem – 86 for 474, 3 scores

Mansell was 3rd in yards and tied for 6th in rush TDs.

Receiving

Barber had his best year with 1291 yards and a ton of scores. He led the league in catching TDs, and was 7th in yards. Derr had a great year for us and was one of the best TEs receiving. Mansell added more than 500 yards to take his yards from scrimmage to more than 1700. Another down year for Zercie and Frohbieter was down as well from his rookie season last year.

Blocking

OG Terry Freitas, 31 KRB out of 91 KRO, 5 sacks allowed
OG Efrain Banks, 27 of 86, 5 sacks
C Bryce Jackson, 25 of 70, 1 sack
OT Don Cortez, 25 of 59, 1 sack
OT Jack Kurtz, 13 of 44, 1 sack

This was a down year for my blocking across the table. Cortez was fine in his first year.

Special Teams

K Rabbitt – 34 of 39, Long of 55, 49 of 50 PAT

Not too shabby

P Petherick – 73 punts, 45.8 avg, 29 in 20

His average is down.

Defense

Thomason led our team in tackles again and Norton was 2nd. Norton led our team with 8 sacks, with 5 for Gilliam, 4.5 for Fontaine, among others. With 4 FF Burkley led my team. Not bad folks!

Pass Coverage

Thomason led in picks and pasdef. Good job. His 16 pasdef is tied for 5th in the league. Anderson with 3 picks and Schwake with 3 as well as Liang. This was a good year for picks in my secondary but a low year for my LB Corps who only had 3 picks total.

Not bad!

I end the season

I score a 85

The 2027 NFL Offseason

Staff draft

We draft 9th and…no changes needed

We have 42 players under contract and these players of note now free

OT Armstrong
TE Derr
NT Heinlein
CB Cunningham
FS Flannery

We have 14.9 mill in cap space and we only have 6.5 for new players and I’ll need that for my RFAs.

So can I keep Derr?

I think so. I have a plan

I franchise him

The 2027 FA Period #1

We are 3 mill over the cap

I have a lot of players in the last year of their deal –

I extend Tony Rhem by four years and drop his cap his this year

I cut WILB Burkley. He’s 30, and he’s been dropping in things like pass rush as well as stats. He’s my most paid LB and this frees up 9.6 mill in salary cap.

Now I can I sign Derr to 65 mill over 5 years

I sign my RFAs and am at 48 folks

I extend Freitas and save 3 mill this year

I extend K Rabbitt by thee years

I now have 13 mill

I extend SLB Bruce Norton for 66 mill and 4 years

I extend Marcus Liang three years for 6 mill

I cannot do FS Weber right now and will look for a franchise tag next year maybe

Do I want to extend OG Banks? Nope I’ll swap to OG Cunningham. He’s making 11 mill this year we’ll lose next.

I extend RB Devin Wheeler for another year

Weber is the only big miss next year. He wants 64 mill over 5 years. I could give him Bank’s contract next year.

What do I need for my roster?

OT backup
OG Backup
NT backup
1 new LB backup ish
CB backup
S backup

Roster options

Backup LB better than Gleason
Backup CB better than Cote
Backup TE to replace a dropping Fyie

I don’t have many open places in my starters.

I could go with a stud OG for Banks or Cunningham, or a stud OT for Kurtz. I’ll need, long erm, a replacement for DE Stevenson who’s 29 and expensive for someone that doesn’t get me a lot of sacks.

Studs

DE
OT
OG

We pick 1.31

I interview OT, OG, and DE and a RB or two and a pair of S for projects to replace Thomason.

Week 2 – OT Armstrong signs with Denver,

Week 3 – DT Heinlein signs with Houston

Week 5 – CB Cunningham signs with Detroit

Kendall Flannery doesn’t sign

The 2027 NFL Amateur Draft

Miami drafts first and at the 1.1 spot they take ILB Duane Hammond

The 1.31 pick arrives. Who am I looking at?

Here is what I need:

Backups:

OT backup
OG Backup
NT backup
1 new LB backup ish
CB backup
S backup

Roster options:

Backup LB better than Gleason
Backup CB better than Cote
Backup TE to replace a dropping Fyie

Studs:

DE
OT
OG

Who is available?

OT Bucky Hicks – No interview, 2nd best OT in the draft
OT Carlton Crichton – Underrated
OT Ronald Lynn – Hard to Read
OG Oliver Brewer – Very Underrated
OG Luis Hanks – I like his bars
TE Brock Lindquist – Looks studly
DE Al Hickey – No interview
DT Toby Franklin – No interview
SLB Francisco Rodman – No Interview
ILB Brent Sampson – No interview

BAP are Franklin and Lindquist and a C named Benjamin Loveless.

Could I take Franklin and turn him into a DE?

I like TE Lindquist because this is a TE poor TE talent league and getting two would be great. I could run them both in many settings. And then I could let Derr go and keep Lindquist if he worked out. I like Franklin because he appears from here to be the BAP and if I need a DT, I’d grab him. Or if Fontaine was dropping or unsignable or something else. But he is 27 year old stud.

So what do I do and where do I go?

I could draft Franklin. But what else?

OT Hicks? I thought he’d be gone and I didn’t interview him. Or Luis Hanks who looks great? Let’s do Hanks as OG in Banks’ last year is more of a need than OT and he has better combines and looks to be a good growth target like my OT Last year

2.31

RT Gerald O’Neill?
TE Lindquist is still on the board.

O Neill is the last best OT on the board. I take him as he looks swank.

3.31

Lindquist is gone but TE Darryl Kirwan? I do need a replacement for Fyie and he looks really really strong in the bars. I grab Kirwan.

4.31

I like DE Sammie Doran who seems to have fallen as well as DE Jalen Bullock. I grab the better pass rusher which is Bullock

5.31

RDT Myles Trujillo is the best DT on the board and we need one, so I grab him.

6.31

LB Darien Wheeler has fallen and looks nice. Very BAP with good bars

7.31

FS Micah Shonek – The best S on the board. This is a flyer. But he has better combines than his bars,

Rookie Lookie #1

1.31 – OG Luis Hanks, New Mexico, 32/64
2.31 – OT Gerald O’neill , Notre Dame, 24/69
3.31 – TE Darryl Kirwan, Kentucky, 34/66
4.31 – DE Jalen Bullock, California, 37/68
5.31 – DT Myles Trujillo, Purdue, 27/47
6.31 – OLB Darien Wheeler, Yale, 31/58
7.31 – S Micah Shonek, Oregon State, 16/45

Alright! That’s four players with pots in the 60s, and if that holds, that was a solid end of the round draft. IF it holds….

Rookie Lookie #2

1.31 – OG Luis Hanks, New Mexico, 32/64; 39/69
2.31 – OT Gerald O’neill , Notre Dame, 24/69; 31/69
3.31 – TE Darryl Kirwan, Kentucky, 34/66; 40/68
4.31 – DE Jalen Bullock, California, 37/68; 48/68

6.31 – OLB Darien Wheeler, Yale, 31/58; 36/57
7.31 – S Micah Shonek, Oregon State, 16/45; 20/43

Hanks looks to be growing and I’m happy to see that! Is Kirwan a grower? Trujillo might be a bust.

My 50s pots

C Roberto Hoffman - 24/59; 28/58
DE Christopher Allen – 22/51; 27/50

Meh

I cut DE Norm Stevenson. He was my best DE and worth 15 mill. He only has 31.5 sacks in 6 yeas of starting, and that’s not enough. We are moving to DE Bullock and others, and I am letting him go now, freeing up space on the cap, and moving on. Good luck Norm!

I also cut QB Malone who dropped. I also cut TE Cortez.

C Roberto Hoffman - 24/59; 28/58; 28/56
DE Christopher Allen – 22/51; 27/50; 26/50

Meh again

I make these roster changes

OG Banks - I cut my long term starter for Hanks. He was in his last year, and I wanna give him room elsewhere. He was my longest starter at 8 years. Good luck!

The only other 8 year vets are Thomason, Petherick and LS Glenn.

WR Daniel Mayes
OC Ted DeWaters
LB Malachi Baines

Mansell has dropped to 56/56…
ILB Phil Sutton has dropped to 52/52

On The Green Page, we have DE Bullock 7th, and OT O’Neill.

Rookie investigation

TE – At TE Kirwan was the top TE after booming. We have 2 others in the 70s,anda few more in the 60ss ,it was a big draft for TEs. Lindquist is 49/69.

OG Luis Hanks is the 4th best by potential. The 3 ahead were taken earlier. None taken earlier busted, and this class was very consistent as the 4th OG taken was the 4th in potential value.

O’Neill is also 4th best at OT by potential. Many went off the board but we did well and most of the good ones were taken before us in the 2nd round.

DE Jalen Bullock is 4th at DE. The other one that fell, DE Doran, was 2nd best by pot.

At LB Wheeler is 7th best among all LBs.
