Cortez kicks the winning FG in OT. The Giants offense didn't get a chance in OT...
But, not going to use my team losing like that as an excuse to change my opinion on OT. The Giants' defense couldn't stop them from getting a FG, so they don't deserve to win. |

Falcons lining up for a game-winning field goal, but I wish the announcers would stop saying "they have missed a field-goal all season."

Cowboys are 4-2 (.667) and the Redskins are 3-2 (.600), so no tiebreaker needed at the moment. |

I honestly think they were trying to payback the blocked field-goal at the end of half. For some reason, the NO lineman looked like he couldn't get out of his stance which allowed the kick blocker to vault him. I have a feeling he was being held down, but I couldn't see it. NO might have thought they could have get away with doing the same thing, and it bit them in the butt. |

Hell yes. This weekend was one of the rare instances when I was far more interested in a college football game than any pro game I was going to see. It lived up to and then exceeded the hype. |

Saints 31, Falcons 24 + Refs 10
Saints couldn't overcome two calls. The questionable hold on the Falcons first field goal attempt at the end of the game, and the flagrant personal foul on the blocked field goal at the end of the first half. The guy who blocked the kick climbed over the back of one of his lineman. Falcons took advantage of their opportunities though. Last edited by Masked : 10-16-2005 at 04:24 PM. |

Brady may have 70 attempts today. I can't see Denver giving up many yards on the ground to Patrick Pass and Zman.

Hahaha... the Saints SHOULD have won that game, but shot themselves in the foot too many times. Vick sucked, the running game was bad, the defense looked like swiss cheese... and the Falcons still won!

Out with Mooch, Jauron, and especially Millen. End it now.
God, how I miss thee Wayne Fontes. You might have shot yourself in the foot a lot, but at least you pulled the trigger.

No he didn't He was on the line. He vaulted the O-lineman who never got out of his stance. Now, I believe the o-lineman might have been held, but the "blocker" was on the line at the snap. |

I overstated it a bit. The Falcons player hand his hand on the back of the lineman. He used that for balance. Without it, he would not have blocked the kick. Doesn't matter. Saints screwed up more than enough on their own, and the Falcons did just enough to win. |
