Okay all PMs are out. (Or at least should be, inform me if you haven't recieved one).

And there is a good reason for the non-role reveal in this game. Firstly, without it the game would be too far unbalanced in favour of the humans. Secondly, it's Blade Runner, the mystery and doubt is part of the theme.

DAY ONE VOTE DEADLINE - 9PM EST

I also would like to say that Tanglewood almost described my ex-wife perfectly in my role PM.

OK, I'm gonna jump right in, Alan tipped his hand here giving me to believe that his EX-wife was NOT human (as all ex-wifes are known to be inhuman lifesucking world destroyers) I will:

VOTE ALAN T

He is Obviously a Replicant.

Render's that's some grade A insight and analysis. That was what I was talking about a couple games back.

Gaff is a member of the police department who can watch over players and guide them away from replicant attempts on their life.

Dr. Eldon Tyrell is the head of Tyrell Corp., the massive company that manufactures replicants. Batty believes that he can help deactivate the killswitch.

J.F. Sebastian is the cheif designer at Tyrell Corp., another individual Batty believes can help the replicants in their cause.

So ...

Deckard and Holden - seer/assasin types

Gaff - bodybuard

Tyrell and Sebastian are human, right? But in game terms they appear to be useful to the replicants. I'm not sure I understand how they work in the game.

He is Obviously a Replicant.

In fact, the girl described in my PM seemed to be very obviously not human. Sounds like a good plan. I obviously am evil. So everyone come out and vote me. Its just the strategy I would use.

I may as well bring this up now, rather than sit on it.

Did anyone else get a message that included future tennis stardom, besides Ardent and myself?

I was explicitly told in my PM that I am a human, so I think it is strange for another human to have the same (presumably) memories that I do. Replicants are programmed to have "memories" in the book, so I'm thinking that either Ardent is a replicant or there could be something funky with us having similar (possibly the same) childhood memories.

This is a vengeance vote, for killing me night 2 last game. I'm interested in exploring the Swaggs-ardent thing, but not with a day 1 vote, not when roles don't get revealed.

Well, at any rate I'm avoiding ardent for today. I'd like to give the blade runners a chance to clear him and/or swaggs. But I wanted to vote for one of the wolves from the last game.

Well thats just silly, Why rub our proverbial noses in it? YOU WON =)

Sounds like sour grapes to me, and no-one knows sour grapes better than a replicant, since they only get to live 4 yearsthey're about as soured on life as you get.

Someone vote St. Cronin, QUICK!

He's obviously a replicant.

Got my PM, and I'm a human. I'll have to review the rule set when I get the chance. I'm checking in and out for right now, though, as I have to get to bed. I work both jobs tomorrow, but my second job starts particularly late, so I will have time to check in before deadline. Good luck, everyone.

Human here. I'm also interested in this AE/Swaggs tennis thing, so I won't be voting for either of them (yet). And since I have to vote for someone:

VOTE DADDYTORGO

Why do you need to read the rules to see that you're a human?

[ooc]Today and tomorrow I work from 6:00 AM to 5 central and then I go to the gym, so I won't be around all day (FOFC is blocked at work). I hope to be on before the deadline, but I don't know for sure.[/ooc]

So Deckard and Holden can tell who is a Replicant and who isn't. Due to the strange nature of their similar dreams, I suggest that they scan Swaggs and Ardent today (or tonight - not sure if it's a day action or night action).

And just to avoid the possibility of them both scanning the same guy, I'll through out this proposal:

Deckard scans Swaggs.
Holden scans Ardent.

I know it's early, but I wanted to through this out for discussion at least. It's something tangible to start with, which is extremely rare for day one.

I also think it speaks well of Swaggs' human-ness that he came out and mentioned the dream similarity. If he was a replicant (and knew that he was), I seriously doubt he would have brought that to our attention.

It's interesting since there is a replicant who can scan people. To me that only increases the odds that DT is a bad guy. Last time he seemed to slip up on Day 1 we let him go. I don't want to make that mistake again.

Also I am going to assume that there is a role out there who finds out if people sent to Mars are good or not. If so I would hope that role would take pains to ensure that if they are at risk of being lynched/killed that they give their info away. Frankly it seems that without that sort of info we'll be going at this game rather blindly.

If you are killed, your role is revealed, so we will be able to go through your posts and possibly figure out what you knew. So my suggestion is to reveal if you are likely to be lynched, but not if you think you are likely to be killed.

Since his message could have referred to scanning people (a seer role) something that is good, but also killing people (something that is bad). Only when reading the roles and seeing that there was a replicant who could do both did he realize he was good. I'm leaning to this over the Decker explanation since being Decker would make it obvious that you were a good guy. I am, however, willing to entertain that explanation and move my vote.

But what if he's Tyrell or Sebastian? He'd know that he was human but without reading the rules wouldn't know if he should mention his name. I'm thinking that it wasn't that he didn't know if he was human or a replicant, but just wasn't sure how much info to give when he said he was human until he read the rules.

And in the Willy Wonka game he seemed to just carelessly use a pronoun. Later in the game he also posted where he all but admitted he was a wolf. I think DT slips up as a wolf and I see that post as a slip and want to take advantage of it.

I think it is a possibility and something to consider.

Someone who read the book or saw the movie more recently will probably remember better, but if I recall correctly, Deckard's love interest is a replicant that does not realize she is not human because she has been given someone else's memories.

There is also the insinuation that Deckard could, himself, be a replicant. But that is kind of left open to interpretation.

Or.. you're a replicant and trying to throw us off your trail by coming out strong, and in the process get a human sent off to Mars (and a potentially valuable human at that).
