Cronin, I'm trying to keep an open mind to the different rules promised by our moderator. Those two are giving us information to work with. We have enough people in the game that I would rather take my shots at people who are playing their cards close to the vest than people who are giving information.
I find it highly unlikely that they are both enemies - that seems like a big-time losing play to execute on Day 1. |

Dola, I guess it's ITC left to vote, so maybe this wouldn't be so interesting after all. I hate day 1.

I don't think so. I think it's prudent to give ntn/Saldana a pass for today until we learn more.

OK, I guess I'll stay where I am with my vote. It's finally cracked 70 in Seattle and I've got a golf date to keep.

Can someone translate time zones here - PDT? Is that midnight EST? If so, I'm not going to be around for the deadline as I will go to bed before then.

I wonder whether his reasoning for voting for me was a wolf trying to hard to cme up with a day 1 rationale.

The talk begins slowly, almost as if the room of strangers takes a bit of time to get accustomed to the other people in the room with them. Finally accusations start to fly, first with Lathum pointing his finger at Ntndeacon, but then a backlash of attacks back to Lathum. Finally, Ntndeacon states loudly for the room,"I've had just about enough of him!" and he takes a nearby knife and stabs it deep into Lathum's chest.
Lathum wheezes at first, then you start to notice a change, he starts to get hairier and starts to howl in pain. Its not long before you see that he is covered with light grey fur. Ntndeacon does not waste a minute before he pulls the knife back out of Lathum and then uses it to slice his neck open to let the blood pour out. Lathum is dead, he was a wolf. Night 1 deadline is 9:00am EDT Wednesday morning. |

hard to believe that lathum actually made a mistake as a wolf, at least to my eyes, and if i know hoops, he saw the same thing.

Good job. It's a good game when we start out with getting a wolf. I've got to re-read through there to see what sal and hoops saw.

Wow, terrific! I have no idea what you guys are seeing. I must be completely off my game.
I'll try to take a look and see what you all are driving at. And, yes, I am here. Got a bit of a head cold at my first job today, and managed to ditch the second job. I really do have the cold--but there's also a hockey game to watch tonight! |

Sure, there were three people voting for NTN at the time. Once I decided to you two on not voting for ntndeacon I looked at the people voting for NTN. I didn't want to vote for the new player on Day 1. And I had put Cronin in a crappy spot in the last game so I didn't want to push him on Day 1 in this game. Meta reasons, but they led me to vote on Lathum. Err - clearly gifted vision to pick out the wolf. Yeah, that's it. |

Also, I believe this will be the first time I've ever had to pull out of a game. My wife and I just received a call from the adoption agency letting us know that there is a little girl waiting for us in Springfield (4 hours away). Completely out of the blue, which we knew could happen.
So I'm going to be out of the loop for awhile ... good luck closing out the wolves in this one. |

After Lathum's death, there seems to be a little more of an upbeat feeling among the group. Others were excited that one of the werewolves were killed and hope that the remainder might be found soon as well. Some random conversations take place until the first signs of weariness start to appear. Finally each of you find some random part of the room to sleep in, swearing that you don't intend to sleep in a crazy place like this.
As time passes however, sleep can not be overcome and the majority of the room eventually does fall asleep. The morning comes without incident however, as all of you appear to be completely intact and perhaps nothing sinister happened during the night.... or did it? Wednesday day deadline is 9:00pm EDT. Everyone must vote on one player to kill today in hopes of finding a wolf that is keeping you captive here. Failure to vote will bring possible penalties! |

that makes me think maybe we had a conversion last night?
or...and here's a scary though...what if by "wacky rules" there's something going on where the level of wolves will remain constant or something? so 1 dying=1 automatic conversion or something like that? |

ok, i will be out most of the day due to a death in the family and may not check back in before the deadline. Since there are possible penalties if i don't vote, i'm going to vote for the guy who voted for me on day 1 because I was the new guy. He didn't have a good reason, so I don't have one either (and because I have no suspects as to who may be the wolf)

OK, we've got a lynched wolf and no kill, so either blocked or a conversion/attempt.
Elevated trust for the Lathum voters, especially Saldana. Ntn gets a little less credit for the vote because of the self-preservation angle so stays neutral in my book. So my current list: Elevated trust: Saldana Slight trust: cronin, michael(hoops) No read: everyone else. Any night stories?

Been reading the Jack the Ripper one to get a feel for the game. Obviously that one was a lot bigger and more complex (moving around and such), but pretty fascinating.
Giving this one a good look now to see if I have any first impressions. |
