And my series of posts makes it seem like I'm out to get Jackal. I'm not.

We learn from both. But being overly worried about a tie and how bad they are over two hours before deadline is pushing it. If you thought Zinto was the best candidate then fine, but if you only voted him so as to not tie it up, that is weak reasoning. |

Not really. Unless someone sends a PM they meant to send to their wolf teammates, or they say things in the thread about the game mechanics that seem very anti-villager, but this is a vanilla game so you're not going to get that. Basically day ones put a random group of people on the block, and you hope that at least one is a wolf and it forces people to make saving/misdirecting votes. |

Or somebody starts bragging about their 3 hot daughters... but yeah, Day 1 is mostly about keeping it close, and hoping you have a wolf somewhere among the candidates so it means something down the line (from what I've seen so far and I'm almost as new as you are)

What interest me is Jackal is on Darth, as opposed to being on Zinto right now and putting 2 votes between Zinto and himself

That actually makes perfect sense if you think about it, they are putting both their votes onto one player to put distance between that player and themselves. |

They were the first two votes on him, though. Not like one chose him late out of self preservation. It's probably nothing, but like I said, I have plenty of time to move if need be. |

Why are people worried about ties? Per the rules, there is still a lynch on a tie, tiebreaker being the oldest vote.
The most suspicious thing I noticed today was J23 introducing a 5th candidate when it was something like 2-2-1-1. Suspicion might be too strong a word though, more like I was surprised by it. Zinto's comment was a bit off as well, but meh. |

I guess I will "add distance", hoping that Zinto turns up toothy.

I think people having gut feelings on day 1 votes need to see if it's something they need to sit on the toilet for..
On gut feelings, I've had some good day one feelings in the past too that have definitely carried along; so we'll see if it was poopy feelings or your wolf radar. |

Well with only 30 minutes left till my untimely demise I guess I should go find one of Jackal's daughters and hopefully make at least three minutes of the time worthwhile.

And getting back to WW, yeah, I don't feel great about it either. I was hoping there'd be some movement on other candidates (other or including myself, I guess), kind of surprised there's been nothing.

I think I have seen two games out of quite a few where a wolf gets lynched D1 (and one of those times it was a wolf duking it to another wolf). Yet every game I get my hopes up.

It really doesn't happen that often. In fact I've been surprised at the regularity at which we've had 1+ wolf candidates on the block day one lately. |

Yeah hopefully today proves to be useful down the line which more then likely it will even though there has been no movement with the votes.

I still feel better about voting for DV, I like votes for people who remain silent over ones who post without much wolfiness in their tones. So many people play the silent wolf, especially early on, because people that talk more often get targeted by at least one or two people just because they've been noticed. But DV has been sparse in the past few games, so maybe it's a time issue. But hey, he was a wolf last time!

Granted a vote for someone who isn't around D1 can be -very- bad on the other hand, because they could be a village role that hasn't had a chance to check in and see how high they were on the block, and that's bad especially with a late swing. Zinto would've revealed by now if he were the seer or some such.

I am trying now to strike the balance between barely talking and talking too much. If you never talk then you must be a wolf or a newbie. If you start posting too much everything you say gets over analyzed and bites you in the butt. And yes Jackal if I had a role I would have already revealed so no worries there. |

I mean sometimes it really just is a time issue, we've got lives and can't always be around everyday. But yeah, people will definitely slowplay wolves quite often, at least one member of the team.

I think DV said he was busy today but would have more time the rest of the week.
