Cardinals finally do the right thing and not let Palmer throw near the end zone again, result was a Mendenhall TD to take the lead 10-6.

I think we knew Schiano was a dick as soon as he pulled that full rush against the kneeldown crap.

Things go from bad to worse for the Panthers after the Cards TD. Newton sacked in the endzone for a safety.

I swear sometimes Manning is just f'ing with the other team. Call the receiver in motion and then send him right back in motion to where he was only to run the ball right up the middle.

I never saw anything like that before Schiano, and I wouldn't say I'm thrilled to see it, but I'm okay with it because I know he's had success with it back in college. He only allows it if the Bucs are within one score. I think most teams have adapted well enough to ensure they block for 1-3 additional plays to make it a non-issue. It was really only bad when the Giants and Eli Manning didn't realize it was going to happen.

Point differentials

Jacksonville: -112
New York Giants: -100
Pittsburgh: -41

Granted the Steelers have only played four games, but that's a staggering difference between the two teams and the rest of the league.

This is really the first game you could say was embarrassing for the defense. They haven't tackled well, they haven't covered well, they haven't made a ton of adjustments like they usually do. They are just getting torched left and right.

Manning will have to keep up the gas or the Broncos will lose this game. The loss of Miller hasn't been felt a lot this year. Today? it's being felt on a massive scale. The Cowboys are playing very well and matching the Donkies point for point.

Should be a very interesting fourth quarter.

I miss defense.

If the Bucs continue to stumble, I look for Dominik to try and fire Schiano in order to save his own job.

WTF?!?!? Why couldn't I have this affect on the Broncos last week?

While I have watched the game... Cowboys 35 Broncos 10

When I haven't been watching... Broncos 28 Cowboys 6 and Broncos turn the ball over twice

Is there a reason Arizona isn't giving the ball to Ellington more? From the stats, he seems like a way better RB than Mendenhall at this point.

I find it interesting that the only way you can fluster Peyton Manning is by keeping the score close into the second half.

Almost seems like he is one of those guys that when things are going well his confidence is so high that he can't be stopped but once the pressure is really on he starts to press too much.

Which had been the case of several playoff games when he was Colt, particularly against the Chargers, if I recall.

Beyond lost. Really beyond lost. We need Bailey and Miller back badly.

Only one more week and Miller will be back. I think we can handle the Jags so we can set up for the rest of the year.

Manning has led the Donkies to 13 points this half. I don't really think he's been that rattled. Cowboys have momentum and are playing out of their ever loving minds. That last throw to Welker? Step up in the pocket and throw it perfectly? Yeah, he's really got some nerves here.

Hate the Cowboys, but they deserve some credit, Manning isn't exactly playing badly this half.

Stranger things have happened, right? Romo isn't exactly incapable of throwing a duck. Bryant isn't incapable of fumbling. The Cowboys are 95% likely to win the game on this drive, but if Manning doesn't get the ball in the end zone there, that other 5% is gone. 48-48. Crazy, crazy game.

Well even though he has been throwing his ass off in this game you do have to remember who the Cowboys QB is and his track record in these situations in the past.

So if a guy throws 7 TD's on 7 straight drives, then the last drive comes up short and he loses 56-49, does that mean he's a choker or does it mean it's pretty fucking hard to throw TD's on 8 straight drives?

As a Colts fan for years, I can say only once did Manning ever have a complete team around him (2005). I think once Miller and Bailey come back this team has the potential to be Manning's best overall team.

I'll take the latter for $200 please, Alex.

Russell Wilson played a great game today vs. Indy. He threw a pick on the last drive. He didn't choke.

Dear Donkies,

. Do not think this thing is over and that a FG wins it. Please, please, please. Even if you turn it over, be aggressive. Romo threw a bad pass, he can easily lead a TD drive. Again, just be aggressive.

Thanks

Choke job might not be the best wording but to put up the numbers he has without a SB ring would forever link him to Marino.

Elway dealt with a lot of it too. If the Broncos hadn't beat GB, who knows what would have happened.

This thread really takes my pet peeve to the extreme. To call a guy a choker after he led his team to 48 pts and an awesome comeback because he threw one bad pass late in the game is just insanely absurd. If a QB leads their team to 48 pts and they lost, it is NOT the QB's fault.

Well, so much for getting rattled. Cowboys talked all week about how they were sick of Manning. Their answer was to give up 414 yards passing and 51 points to the man you were sick of.

49, 41, 37, 52, 51. . . this is insanity. The high flying Pats put up 40+ points 4 times in 2007. The Broncos have put up 40+ 4 times in 5 weeks.

At least for Elway he won twice and faced a credible opponent. The Grossman led Bears was a rather uninspiring team.

That was one hell of a battle, really fun to watch, both QB's played their asses off. Each made one bad throw. Romo's bad throw cost him much more dearly, but I would take either QB's performance in a heartbeat. Peyton Manning is separating himself from the other QB's in the "greatest of all time" argument.

Who anyone beats in the Super Bowl doesn't matter. It was the inability to get to the Super Bowl that gave Manning the early rep. Still having fewer playoff victories in Denver than Tebow isn't really helping either.

It seems if you combine Eli and Peyton just right you get the perfect QB. Take Peyton's regular season and Eli's post season.

Or just take a Joe Montana to accomplish the same.
