Voting 8 minutes after Blade was purely chance. I work from 7:30-4:30 monday-friday most of the time. Take into account the drive and this is when I'm on. Defending yourself is one thing, throwing wild speculation about me out there just cements my vote. I was about ready to change to blade. If you are innocent, then my vote will probably be for Blade next time.

Not up to me . In any case, it's more apt to be someone who jumped on, rather than Eagle. Course it would be nice to know if Blade is guilty or not..... if not it doesn't really matter. Last edited by jeff061 : 07-26-2005 at 07:47 PM. |

As Nighttime draws near, the mob forms to lynch someone this night. The votes are tallied, and it looks like Lathum recieves the most. You quickly grab him before he can escape. You hold him down, and drive a wooden stake into his heart. His final breath contains the words "innocent" Everyone glances around nervously. It looks as though you have killed an innocent Villager

Very disappointing. I don't remember a villager ever making such a joke (particularly so early,) and I really thought he was trying to fool us into not voting for him by that comment.

Just FYI...
It was messing with my head because I realized that in Airhog's post above there were only 14 people voting out of a possible 15. It took me about five minutes to figure it out (work is draining my brain tonight) but I finally did. It was ME! Actually, I did vote for ardent enthusiast on page 2, but for some reason Airhog missed it I guess as it wasn't in the final voting tally.

Sounds to me that you're setting yourself up for a fall if Lathum is indeed a vampire. Otherwise, you're putting an unneeded spotlight on yourself as a willager. Having said that, I don't think anyone could be that crazy, so I'm second-guessing my vote.

ok, i think i started the bandwagon, but when you have 4 votes on you while your at work, do you expect me not to vote for the only person with a reason to be suspicious that could still pass me in votes. On the first day, a pretty random day, dont exptect me to sit back and not vote so i can get lynched...especially after lathum was one who voted for me.

? I definitely used it...as I've been wanting to use a random generator if I got into one of these games. I did think about going alphabetical (ala the first Survivor), but the concept of a random number generator made it more interesting to me. Especially with the readout...it's simple and plain...here's your number. I nearly went back to the original listing of players, but I instead used the more recent list Airhog published.
As far as helping, it doesn't help, I'll admit that. But it is fun.

The first night aside, I think at least some thought should be put into this, unless it's 7:00pm and no one has any ideas.

I agree that some thought should be put into this. So far, I'm just not sure where to direct my thoughts. I'm hopeful that someone will say something illuminating during the next few hours.

Good point, if I see in the discussion a valid point on who the vampire may be...then I'll unvote. Until then, my random vote is a safe vote (as in, I won't forget to vote).

I think the most obvious choice right now is blade just for his inactivity. I hope we gain some further insight today, but if we don't, voting for blade makes the most sense.

My inactivity? I was inactive for a bit during the first vote due to work, got home and voted. Then commented on my reasoning for starting the bandwagon(saving my own hide). Im not inactive, just waiting to make valid points...i know there are other guys in this game more inactive then me, but do what you will. Just know by making claims like that your going onto my watch list as it could mean your already start to guide the voting away from you or a fellow vampire.

I'm gonna hold off voting until either later or someone posts some good ideas. And since right now I have none especially since Lathum was a villager, looks like I'm waiting.

I'm kind of waiting for dubb93. He said he was going to vote for Blade if Lathum turned out to be innocent. This was in defense of his quick joining of Blade in voting for Lathum. This will help me decide if they are working together.

You can put me on any watch list you want. But the fact remains that at the time I posted that, you had 3 posts in the entire thread - that was tied for the least amount of anybody playing (with ntndeacon). At the time, your posts were: Quote:
Quote:
Quote:
Those were your only posts. Yes, I call that inactive. I have no idea if you're a vampire or not. The strategy I employ early on is if you have no idea who to vote for, go after the quiet ones who haven't contributed to the discussion. If they happen to be a villager, at least you haven't lost someone who is contributing. If you're able to add to the discussion today, then I'll change my tune. And why would you say I would be trying to guide votes away from myself or another vampire? I have not gotten any attention whatsoever yet, so I'm certainly not guiding votes away from myself. And no other player has gotten any real voting attention on them either other than you, so I'm not trying to protect anybody else. So your insinuation makes no logical sense. |

Being candid, as it was revealed at my death in the x-com game going on right now that i was an alien, and had a leadership type role in that group, our group strategy was to put people in the limelight who werent us. Now after hoops called me out, i had to become center stage, but we would talk about anyone and everyone, regardless of votes, as long as they werent us. Simple as that for my reasoning on you. As far as post counts, ill be around all day(except for the next two hours)...lets talk all you want, im happy to spin your mental wheels. Throw at me whatever you got, becuase ive got nothing to hide this time around.

Sure, but my point is that there is no need for me to guide the votes anywhere. It is not a good strategy for a vampire/werewolf/whatever to push too hard until it becomes necessary. Who are the suspects right now? Ummm.... No one. Except maybe blade since he got the 2nd most votes last night. So, if I were a vampire, why would I be trying to drive the votes anywhere at this point? The vampires (unless blade is one) have to be feeling very safe right now. |

The vampires will likely not be the first to make any move until the end game. Especially if they have no heat on them.
